That looks a lot faster than your stage 1 video hell yeah man. Don't give up on the golf if you haven't already. I would love to you slap a turbo on this.
I actually sold it and am looking for a cleaner, lower mile one just like it. I have just bought an S4 I'm going to have some fun with in the mean time though
o shit, fellow AR boi. I'm supposed to get my IE SRI tomorrow so i'm watching videos of 07k's in the meantime. Sounds killer, I want to do a more aggressive exhaust but my neighbors would hate my existence
What's up my fellow Arkansan, since recording this video I've swapped out the mk5 header that the 2010s get and put the oem resonator on top of this and it's still quite obnoxious. I think three flow through resonators of any decent size should be a nice compromise.
Hell yee about time! Quick question about the rev9 catback, since gti and the 2.5 uses the same body, is it a bolt on or do i gotta do modifications to the catback to fit on? Thanks brudda 🙏🏿💯
Only mod would be connecting oem testpipe, catted or not, to the gti catback, where there’s a good amount of space between. Just connect it with a 2.5” ID pipe that’s long enough.
When you tuned this stage two did ie give you the option to add crackles or is it just built into their stage 2? I recently got stage 1 and want more/better crackles. Also at what rpm do they kick in? I was pretty disappointed seeing that stage 1 only crackles under 2 grand.
I had no option, IE’s crackles they throw in aren’t consensual and that can be a good thing or a bad thing 🤷♂️ I’ll send you some different exhaust setups that allow crackles n what not if you add me on Snapchat-@sirgarrettjames, or dm me on instagram- @base_mk6. You’ll have to have a pretty open exhaust to take full advantage of the crackles. Stage 1 crackled for me just as much if not more than stage 2, it varies from day to day with weather, elevation, and fuel being some factors. I wouldn’t advise full straight pipe but that’ll be your go to option if you want the most pops. My buddy whom went catless and left only the oem resonator has plenty of subtle pops but they aren’t very prominent up high in the rev range, where I’ll hear pops at any point with my golf.
Do you have any socials that I could get from you? I have a few questions I’d like to know about your set up before I do something similar on my car. Thanks!
mk7.5 style for mk6, they seem to be discontinued, might try contacting OSRAM, www.osram.com/ecat/LEDriving%20XENARC%20for%20VW%20Golf%20VI-LED%20headlights-Car%20lighting-Automotive/com/en/GPS01_3276156/ZMP_4055174/
IE’s crackle tune is hilarious lol. I just put the stage 2 crackle on mine and honestly had to take it off after a couple days becuase it’s still my daily lmaoo. Right now I have full turbo back exhaust, intake, GFB Diverter +. I’m trying to decide what to do next. I’m thinking IC but what would you recommend to help me wake the car up a bit more on IE stage 2?
Hahaha, can't lie that I do crave one, but shooting for the SPA turbo manifold instead. Wouldn't make sense to drop so that much on a header just to shortly boost it. Whatever happens I'll be sure to post some vids, I need to post a video or two of the car's current progress, as I've got some recent goodies.
I have a 2014 model 2.5 mk6 which is an auto and after some time in traffic it shakes the cabin when increasing its rpm slowly from 2to3 gear , and after sometime it shows the 🔧 at the section where writes PRND After i turn the car off and on again it removes the 🔧 I have checked it for tranmission issues with computer and it doesnt show any error on the tranmission It shows only this P0106 and P2096 Do you think this two are related to the transmission? And in your opinion what should i do?
I’m not sure what I’d do, sometimes swapping trans fluid is a good idea, other people discourage it, but make sure you have plenty of fluid. Make sure your plugs, coils, and fuel filter are up to date, might need a valve body replacement or a six speed swap if you fancy that.
Definitely get a tcu tune, or better yet invest in a 6 speed swap before even considering tuning… swapped mine and can definitely say it was my most worthy investment into the car, adding reliability and better performance all at once.

I put on a flow through muffler with the resonator that’s already on it and it sounded great. I just am young and want to soak in the short time I can excuse myself for a loud exhaust lol. I afterwards wanted more loud so I ran it with just the flow through magna flow and it was still too quiet for me. Though it sounded great I just decided to send it and just run the single resonator. Though it may not be practical or sound the best, it is the most fun sounding to me, truly a fun little car.
@@Garrett_James I don't blame you haha I installed a wotbox on my golf for the sole purpose of 2 stepping never even used it for launch control haha keep it up though enjoy your car man
@@MA-it3ps Yeah I gotcha, with the 1.8ts you can tune them to be like 265hp 280tq but you gotta upgrade them alot to do that, consider a audi tt mk1 quattro, they have 225hp stock and they can be tuned to make almost 300hp tq. I have 1 right now and it's pretty fun stock.
@@Garrett_James ight thx.. u think if I keep the stock cat nd just put on the rev 9 w the mufflers off nd cut off the resonator it’ll still pop and crackle?
Maybe 🤷♂️. Won’t be loud at all, probably will have to end up with a high flow cat if you want to hear the crackles and burbles. Mine wouldn’t hardly do a thing with the stock tune keep in mind.

Bumper conversion to gti would be clean
I went through 2 golf R bumpers. Whacked a ground hog and totally destroyed one of them whole the other one was ruined in a fender bender.
How did you get the manifold in there? I have the MK6 Jetta but has PS Line and pump in the way.
