I worked at this attraction (along with Doug and Indiana Jones) in 2000. It was a fairly easy gig but I swear every show some baby would start crying with the lights went out. We also had night vision goggles but they'd get broken so often there was never a working pair around.
me and my family loved this attraction on our first visit when we went back and people asked about our trip we raved about this show it was such a good idea and fits with the theme of a movie studio.
You missed an attraction. Before the 101 Dalmatians version, there was one where members of the audience were brought up and inserted into scenes from classic sitcoms. I specifically remember kids being dressed up as the cast from Gilligan's Island, and inserted into the credits, and a couple of adults doing the chocolate factory scene from I Love Lucy.
Hey just popped up here to tell you that I looked up your channel to subscribe to you after hearing it be mentioned by LSSQ earlier. It doesn’t show up. Luckily it did just earlier when I clicked on the “New to you” tab.
I could be wrong but I think we’re missing a couple key details: why the headphones, why the darkness, and they had water misters that would spray you when the elephant made noise. I swear I remember being told that the rides purpose (like you mentioned with the other shows) was to farm audience reaction audio for tv shows. I think I had to sign a waiver going in. I think they do the headphones so they can record just your voice and not the show audio, the water jets made us all jump and shout in shock, and the dark so they can set up the physical gag. Not to mention they probably saved money not having a real elephant. I never really looked at it as a show. I thought it was intended to be a fun way for families to become a part of the tv productions and hey, you even paid them to show up for the opportunity.
I probably did miss a few things, but this show wasn’t documented very well, so I was mainly going off of my own personal memory and what little info was online. Thanks for the comment though!
Something fascinating about an attraction that's mostly a black screen. Can see why people wouldn't consider this one of Disney's best...
I almost left half of the video black to fully recreate the experience.

Sounds Dangerous was one of the coolest things ever. It was my favorite. That elephant moment! :)
I wholeheartedly support this series, I'd legitimately never heard about this until now.
I get it.
Drew sounds like why did I agree to do this lol

It was one of my favorites, for sure.
Thanks for watching!

Interesting! I definitely didn’t see any info about that when I was researching.
Do you remember what the attraction was called?
Thanks for the info!
There is an exception for season operation knife. Carousel of Progress went from seasonal, back to full time.
Don’t know if that’s the only time it’s happened, but definitely one of the few.
This sounds like a really weirdly perfect compliment to Superstar Limo in California Adventure (it's now Monsters Inc.).
I’d LOVE to cover Superstar Limo, but it’s been beaten to death at this point lol
Maybe one day though.
@@SeekerofTheLost haha. It has, and let's hope it stays dead. I have a friend who worked at DCA when the park opened.
Chicken little billboard…why 😰

Huh. How odd. Maybe RUclips is hiding me.
But I appreciate you checking out the channel!
I legit thought this was a Defunctland video XD, but this is equally as good a surprise!
That’s probably the best compliment I’ve gotten. Thanks for watching!

The only theme park I've ever been to was Six Flags New Orleans. It was later destroyed by a hurricane so I can never go back there. 😥
Somehow I remember this when I was a kid and I though it was very weird
That attraction was weird.
Can you the power ranger parade and the goosebumps show.
Power Rangers will come eventually. I’ve gotten a few requests for it, so it’ll happen.
@@SeekerofTheLost thanks. Also what is the weirdest thing that happen in any park?
For me seeing Nickelodeon in kind island.
I remember this from years ago. It was horrible. I hated everything about it
