Dear Shoib, the real credit for merging of Kashmir with India goes to only Pakistan. King Hari Singh wanted to keep Kashmir as an independent country and he had entered into standstill agreement with India and Pakistan. But Pakistani army attacked Kashmir and small forces of Maharaja were pushed back by Pakistan’s army. So in these circumstances Maharaja was forced to seek help from India and then India told to help him if he merges Kashmir with India. So he merged the state with India by signing the instrument of accession. So, we Indians are GRATEFUL TO PAKISTAN for having attacked Kashmir otherwise Maharaja would not have merged whole of Kashmir with India and it would have been a separate country today. It is because of this reason that the whole world including the Muslim nations are not supporting Pakistan on this issue. Now to hand over Pak occupied Kashmir to India is in the interest of Pakistan because only then Pakistan’s resources can better be utilized for the all round development of its poor people and your nation can hope to compete with the best in the world….. Dear Shoib, the real credit for merging of Kashmir with India goes to only Pakistan. King Hari Singh wanted to keep Kashmir as an independent country and he had entered into standstill agreement with India and Pakistan. But Pakistani army attacked Kashmir and small forces of Maharaja were pushed back by Pakistan’s army. So in these circumstances Maharaja was forced to seek help from India and then India told to help him if he merges Kashmir with India. So he merged the state with India by signing the instrument of accession. So, we Indians are GRATEFUL TO PAKISTAN for having attacked Kashmir otherwise Maharaja would not have merged whole of Kashmir with India and it would have been a separate country today. It is because of this reason that the whole world including the Muslim nations are not supporting Pakistan on this issue. Now to hand over Pak occupied Kashmir to India is in the interest of Pakistan because only then Pakistan’s resources can better be utilized for the all round development of its poor people and your nation can hope to compete with the best in the world….. Raja wanted to stay his regime an Independent country. Pakistan took this opportunity and started invading Jammu&Kashmir . The King requested India to intervene Nehru refused and told Raja to give letter of joining India and Raja gave his consent letter to join India. Then only India intervened and pushed back Pakistan. Even then Nehru proposed for plebiscite but Pakistan refused. Because people were secular and supporting the King. Now there is only one solution that is Pakistan vacate POK.

When people of J&K can buy land in rest of India why cannot people from rest of India buy land/business in J&K? Hari singh was not blackmailed. He had to sign accession treaty with Bharat when Pakistan attacked Kashmir. Hari Singh asked for help from Bharat who were ready if Kashmir annexed with Bharat. Hari Singh agreed,signed the accession treaty. Bharat sent its army to resist invading Pakistani army and drove them off.
