    hello. I am new to Autodesk and I had a problem. In 7:35 you did a tangential constrain and you were able to rotate the ball using the inner race. Whenever I press the solution as inside, it doesn't go in the inner race instead, it just remains in the outer race. Would you perhaps know what I might be doing wrong?

    • @madhavmalaviya1018
      @madhavmalaviya1018 2 года назад +1

      as a matter of fact I am not even able to rotate the inner race.

    • @AutodeskInventorTutorials
      @AutodeskInventorTutorials  2 года назад +1

      Hi @Madhav, this is difficult for me to diagnose without seeing the constraints and relationships in your assembly file. The Inner race should be able to rotate at this point, check the existing constraints on the part in the design tree under 'Relationships', there should only be two constraints: flush constraint with the flat fac of the outer race and a concentric constraint between the axis of the outer and inner races. Then, there are no constraints preventing the inner race from rotating.... You may need to turn on the visibility of the planes for the inner race to actual see it rotating (otherwise it may be rotating but not displaying graphically).
      Now for the Tangent constraint between the ball bearing and the inner race - ensure you have selected to inner race 'groove' and that the option is 'inside' as you mentioned. Also ensure that the plane constraints with the inner race are correct as well.
      If you continue having problems then send an email to cadchris2021@gmail.com and send me screenshots of your design tree and the relationships. Perhaps we can setup a screen share and I can guide you through it.

    hello, what is your key shortcut to see if the inner ring can rotate?

    • @AutodeskInventorTutorials
      @AutodeskInventorTutorials  2 года назад +1

      Hi Rocyn, there is no key shortcut, you just need to hold down click and drag to rotate. I see in the comments you are unable to rotate the inner race, one thing to do here is to Right click on the inner race and make sure that 'Grounded' is not got a tick next to it. If so, it is grounded (and hence will not move). If you're still having problem I recommend selecting the inner race in the design tree and open the 'relationships' folder and delete all relationships of the inner race and then re-apply the ones without constraining the rotation ability. It's difficult to diagnose without seeing your screen. Feel free to email me at cadchris2021@gmail.com and you can share your entire assembly and partts - :I can then open your files and fix the issue. Hope that helps! Enjoy your weekend!

    Why should any body create it , where you can insert it ready by standard from content center libraries???

    • @AutodeskInventorTutorials
      @AutodeskInventorTutorials  2 года назад

      Hi Ebrahim. I agree with you that it is efficient practice to use standard conforming bearings, many as you say are stocked in the Autodesk Content Libraries. My tutorials are all suited for the college students that I teach, and so the Bearing part is just being used as a mode for 2D & 3D part modelling and a basic assembly in CAD software. The students are challenged by it so it works well. Have a nice weekend :)

    Hi. How do you place the image of what you are modelling while doing your modelling?

    • @AutodeskInventorTutorials
      @AutodeskInventorTutorials  2 года назад

      Hi @C N. To place an image like a JPEG or PNG file into the modelling environment, you need to start a sketch on any plane and then click on 'Insert' which is under the 'Sketch' tab. Then select your image and place it on the plane. :)

    • @CN-wf5us
      @CN-wf5us 2 года назад +1

      I get that but when you start your 2d sketch at 0:13 the image does not interfere with the modeling, how is it kept on the far side?
      Because when I start another sketch it will bring the 3 planes with one of them having the imported image and I don't want that.

    • @AutodeskInventorTutorials
      @AutodeskInventorTutorials  2 года назад

      Hi C N, Ahh I see, the image of the complete model in the top right corner is a top layer (with 80% transparency) that I've added in my video editing software, I'm afraid it's not actually in Inventor. when I am modeling the part(s) I use two monitors - one with Inventor on and the other is a set of images with dimensions so I can quickly reference them for the tutorial.
