The first Track I heard from Donna Summer was ‘A Love Trilogy’ (1976) and I asked myself and everyone around: “who is this Angel singing”?? and the track had such a powerful Bass and the Arrangement was rather like a ‘Construction’. I fell in love with Donna and my Soul and whole being went into following and acquiring all her releases and everything about her. Later I learnt she already had 2 previous Albums: ‘Love To Love You Baby’ (1975) & ‘Lady Of The Night’ (1974). She immediately became the Barometer with which I measure (or rate) every artiste after her (she’s the best female vocalist because of her range and her ability to disguise her voice so you won’t even know it’s Donna Summer on some of her tracks (so for example Whitney is unmistakably Whitney whatever she sings but Donna gives each of her tracks a different character with the disguise of her voice). She sure laid down the gauntlet for all the others (Whitney, Janet J, Gaga, Beyoncé, ‘Mad Donna’/Madonna, Rihanna, and all the Dance/Disco acts) to follow and they still can’t touch her ⚡️💫✨🌪️🔥☄️💎💎💎👑👑👑❤️🙏🏾
En México hay una estación de radio llamada stereo 100. Y año con año existía la fiesta de back to disco, todo mundo querida estar presente en esa reunión escuchando y bailando esta música.
