Thank you so much Jan, tonight I started the process on my Hightower 2023! Amazing! Ilustrative and well done. Just one question, the music is awasome. Name please?
@@JanOleBroeske thank you. I’m asking to have an estimate on how much time I’ll have to wait for my Tallboy to be done. I had to filed a warranty claim on the rear triangle and the process you are showing is pretty much the same.
Danke schonmal! 👍
Great vid. Question, please -- Did you ever have a gap form between the lower linkage and the rear triangle, on the drive side of the bike? (I have a Nomad 3.) When I screw in the pivot axel bolt into the rear triangle, the tab the bolt screws into is pushed away from the linkage - leaving a 1-2 mm gap. It super tight/flush on the non-drive / bolt insertion side. If so, any solutions to fixing it? Thanks!
Isn't it better to put threadlock on the female threads in the frame rather than on the male threads on the bolts? if you put it on the bolt threads then as you insert the bolt then some thred lock will be tranferred to the inner bearing surfaces.
@@SNS1212 Yea, for the lowerlink grease port they recommend some special 'marine grade grease' But I've always done it with the muc off stuff, know problems
Great video, very informative and beautifully made. And not a single sweary word or grazed knuckle! 😊

Use shazam to get the musics name haha. I don't even now the names myself. Lost the premiere pro project to check...
Hey great video! In average how much time it took you to complete all that process ?
Thanks mate! I guess about 3 hours

What was the point of taking the brake lines out only to put them back in? Or taking those crappy sram brakes off and not replacing them with Maguras.
Don't want the reartriangle hanging around...
Did it the other way around😂
Danke schön für die Beitrag!
Do you just know how much NM to use at each bolt or you have instructions? Santa cruz dont write the nm on their bolts for some reason
Go on their website, then search the Megatower in the bike archive
20nm for the pivot axles, 9nm for the bolts and 20nm for the shock bolts.

I haven't. I'm afraid I can't help you then...
Was für Drehmomentschlüssel ist das?
Von Topeak
Good Job. Welche Tools benutzt du hier zum einpressen?
Danke!

Never had an issue doing it that way
What brake calliper mount is on the rear?Thank you
A Trickstuff one PM23
May i know what type/brand of grease you were using?
Muc Off
nice video, could you make one like this with spz enduro
Thank you! Unfortunately I don't have it anymore...
What kind of grease are you using?
Muc Off
@@JanOleBroeske Thanks, I have to do the same service!
@@SNS1212 Yea, for the lowerlink grease port they recommend some special 'marine grade grease'
But I've always done it with the muc off stuff, know problems
arent you supposed to pull a bearing out instead of hitting it with a hammer?
Yea, but on some of them it isn't possible, due to the shaft between the two bearings.
If you have a rubber frame cable grommet laying around let me know my dog ate mine lol
I like bikes.
Do you have insta id
