An amazingly talented singer and songwriter who deserves it all... there is so much crap out there masquerading as music it is wonderful to finally see and hear a truly wonderful and soulful singer.
i love MusicFog, but I love Bonnie Bishop so much more. been following her for bout 8 years are more. i can't believe she isn't bigger around the country more than she is, what a heck of a talented lady.
wowwwwww.....what a song, what a voice...love them both & you Music Fog for bringing so much talent to youtube via your channel here!!!! Can hardly believe I'm just now finding bonnie here.....Salute....
A guitar, a pick [sometimes!], a girl, a voice = heaven. No pretense here. This is Bonnie Bishop. Just saw her a week ago or so, and she is even better now, if that is possible.
The very best female voices in Americana music, country, or whatever genre you might call it are Amy Speace and Bonnie Bishop. And I am not star struck; it is just the truth. No one like Bonnie has come out of Texas in a long time. Sadly, I live in central Illinois and I don't think Bonnie gets anywhere near here. I could only wish!
Beautiful voice and song. Why does this young lady not have a ton more views?! We need to get the word out. You oughta hear her remake of REK's "Not a Drop of Rain". It's hauntingly beautiful, but it's not on RUclips. It's from the REK tribute CD.
Black clouds in the distance I can feel a change in the wind There's never been a season quite like this one's been And the leaves are swirlin' and the hairs rise on my skin I should go outside but I just keep on standing When that moment comes I'll be blown away Cause I don't have the sense to come in from the rain I'll be broken in half before I bend No I won't survive another moment like this The screen door slams in spite of me The dogs are staring out the window But I don't move my feet Cause I know my place is out here in the storm With all the other fallen angels who have been here before When that moment comes I'll be blown away Cause I don't have the sense to come in from the rain I'll be broken in half before I bend No I won't survive another moment like this And when that moment comes And the winds subside And the storm moves on And there are no more lies They'll gather on this porch And lift their eyes to the sky And say farewell to the Fallen Angel Who never learned to fly And when that moment comes she just blew away She didn't have the sense or the strength To come in from the pourin rain She never did bend, she just broke in half Cause you can't survive too many moments like that No you can't survive too many moments like that
Wow, she is not only a monumental performer, but her writing is just about as good as it comes. Move over, Townes, Bonnie has come on the scene. Goodbye, Leonard Cohen, but we have a replacement. Her name is Bonnie.
Hi Bonnie... I loved that voice first time I heard it back in 03.. Remember we spoke about you coming to Ireland?! Still hope you make it over sometime! Maur
I saw her play a set of really sad, bluesy/jazz/whatever songs a few years ago in fort worth, kinda different from her regular stuff I found out later (that was my intro to her, she opened for ray wylie hubbard). The cowboy hat crowd was confused and rude but it was an amazing set.

Thanks, Music Fog, for posting this marvelous artist that we might not have otherwise heard. She is great, excellent voice and plays well, too.

One of my favorite of Bonnie's songs. I just love her music and that voice is just incredible!

beautiful voice, thanks.
Mr.J
youve make my soul move!
True poetry never dies. This is what a female angel sounds like.
This is so good. Thanks.
Wow...just wow!

Black clouds in the distance

There's never been a season quite like this one's been

I should go outside but I just keep on standing
When that moment comes I'll be blown away
Cause I don't have the sense to come in from the rain
I'll be broken in half before I bend
No I won't survive another moment like this
The screen door slams in spite of me
The dogs are staring out the window
But I don't move my feet
Cause I know my place is out here in the storm
With all the other fallen angels who have been here before
When that moment comes I'll be blown away
Cause I don't have the sense to come in from the rain
I'll be broken in half before I bend
No I won't survive another moment like this
And when that moment comes
And the winds subside
And the storm moves on
And there are no more lies
They'll gather on this porch
And lift their eyes to the sky
And say farewell to the Fallen Angel
Who never learned to fly
And when that moment comes she just blew away
She didn't have the sense or the strength
To come in from the pourin rain
She never did bend, she just broke in half
Cause you can't survive too many moments like that
No you can't survive too many moments like that
"And say farewell to the Fallen Angel
Who never learned to fly"
But we're still here, earthbound or heaven sent. Love, CT

I knew this was her voice. I just thought she was 'fakin' the 'raspy' part. Sorry. I still love her voice!!
happy she doesn't make her hair fake blond ! It just doesn't fit to a authentic girl as her......
