If the government can’t even get the VA right which is universal healthcare what makes anyone think they can do it for the whole nation. Better look into Hawaii state law for insurance. I think every state should fallow suit on what Hawaii does. It forces the big companies to fork up the cash for full coverage. I don’t want the government telling me how good of care I can have. Better make these huge corporations pay for healthcare. Open it up state to state. And see healthcare prices drop and a healthier society. This would make the insurance companies compete for “excellent” coverage.
The government is not efficient at anything...and completely screws up most things.
Gutsy women also include all those women who are the cornerstone of every single family that raises kids, cares for the elderly and supported their husbands' careers.

Some people have a habit of saying “I know” because they think it displays awareness. It does not. What such people fail to understand is that when you claim to be aware, your argument, opinion, response, actions and track record must reflect that awareness, consistently.
But their response, actions and track record matches that of people who lack awareness. It is like claiming that education is important but not giving children the room and family atmosphere, to pursue quality education or to debate intellectually. Or claiming to know the importance of education but confusing children by telling to that religious principles take precedence over academic learning and findings.
Or to claim that there are a plethora of career opportunities while there’s a teenager working at minimum wage, not availing academic progress or career opportunities. Or to live in a downtrodden area with high crime rate, pretending to know that there are better areas with higher employment, clean streets and quality of life. Or claiming to know the role of government and separation of powers, while taking the law into your own hands and sentencing people as you see fit. Or claiming to know how important mental health and a stable family life is but creating a disruptive, chaotic, dramatic, gossiping and toxic family life for yourself or others, even if it violates the law. The paradox is comical.
The type of person who’s aware that there’s better, would not be able to survive in a slum, let alone be proud to live there. The understanding that his/her life is being ruined in a slum area, alone, would eat at the person.
Nobody chooses to be “less than” if they have the tools to be “more than.” People who have awareness of a problem, do not respond with “I know.” They respond with more information to highlight what a big problem it is. They live, breathe and apply these principles day and night. They have a track record of applying them and they consider it beneath themselves, to deny themselves the gift of the results.

My Grandma met my Grandpa in San Francisco while he and her brother were training for WWII. She was also from south of Chicago and was divorced. She had a 12th grade education and worked as a secretary. She went to San Francisco with her brother and sister in law to move forward after her divorce. After getting married to Grandpa they visited Grandpa's VERY conservative (literally descended from pilgrims) family near a small rural town in MN. She wore slacks to go attend church and she said that was when things really blew up with his family. They couldn't BELIEVE what he had decided to bring home with him. 😂 So after that Grandpa and Grandma would attend the other church service time without the family and she continued to wear her slacks to church. I always thought it was a modern women's social statement of the times. However, after hearing this story Grandma DID have a very attractive figure and nice legs.
