Thanks Shane, just ordered one of these, still on offer too.Not had a problem with my dash but don’t want to risk it,used a cheap cover before like you but this is the bees knees as it is a proper Jaaag cover.
PROTECT that pretty dash🔥! I use them all year round(I live in a hot state)… to protect the dash on my luxury vehicles and even my Tundra that I use for work. Even on a “WARM” day the car heats up and the price of replacing the leather dash is an expense I don’t wanna have. It’s worth the few seconds that I make routine…
Yep had to replace my dash top as it separated badly with a second hand one now looks perfect again but also be aware that the speaker grill also becomes very brittle and will crumble in your hands adding to the cost, but I just use a reflective frost cover just as good easy to fit and oh so cheap.
I had my dashboard redone by Superb Trimming Service. He did a good job on it, but i did remove the dashboard myself, which took around 2 hours, and this saved me alot of money. I'm surprised Jaguar has not done a recall for this. So many of these XF, all have the same issue with the dashboard coming apart.
@@69racer69 It cost me £400, about a year ago. Really nice top quality leather, colour matched, black with white stitching. The only thing i will say, the parking is really tight, it's better to drop the dashboard off, don't leave your car there, if you go ahead.
@@69racer69 Your dashboard does not look to bad at the moment. I think you should, try fixing it down with some really strong leather glue, and get a flexible thin syringe, to go under the leather, and then use a squeegee on top, this will smooth it out. Your lucky, you caught it on time, you should be fine. I ordered in the sun visor, thank you for recommending this, i needed a upgrade👍.
This happen to my xf portfolio. This seem to happen on early xfs . I bought a perfect fit high quality carpet dash cover from Australia. Perfect no more hot dash
Also have an R100 (stratus grey) and hadn't heard you mention having the issue before so had hoped they had sorted the dash issue for 2011 but now I know its still a potential problem. Been lucky up until now I guess so will get myself one of these to hopefully keep the dash protected.
Alas, it is too late for my Jag. The dash has already lifted, but not as bad as I have seen on some of them. I now use two of the round foldable ones and I stow them in the passenger rear seat pocket.
I had to change the whole dash on mine.Took a couple of hours.I tried to repair the old one but its close to impossible. You probably need to remove windscreen tbh. Anyway..no longer a problem as I now have a 2012 facelift with the Viezu VIP tune.650 bhp!!!!. No more lifting dash.😂

Absolutely Tom, I have been lucky up till now.

The XKR has the same problem, look forward to the fix video 👍
Thanks for this Shane, I've been after one for a while. Just ordered from JLR. Still on offer too. 😎
Awesome, I’m glad the offer is still on, I was afraid they would of gone back up.

How much did it cost you to get done?

I do have that. On a face lift one. Worse than yours. They get mad hot inside. I may invest. Cheers guys.

Yeah unfortunately it seems to be a problem for a while, possibly all X250’s even the facelift.

I had to change my dash on my sv8.. 3hrs it took, wasnt hard.. though the hard part was remembering where the screws went 😂
I caught that part no. And JAGUAR Hve got these in stock £53.69 Inc VAT
Good deal 👌
Oh yeah, I forgot to put the part number in the description, I’ll do that later.
They’re definitely worth the money.

Are you sure they fixed it on the facelift? I’m not convinced, but either way, glad you also have the VIP tune, it’s awesome isn’t it 😁👍🏻
@@69racer69 Awesome yeah.I think the facelifted ones are stapled in under the speaker cover so it cant lift Shane.
