Love that you ended with Peter Green. Lot's of folks probably think that he is hyped, but then he'd have to be the most least well known hyped player in history. There's a reason why people refer to his playing. I mean when BB King says he wants you to play at his funeral you must know something about phrasing and making the phrases sing. And that's not to mention his incredible talents as a singer songwriter. RIP

Great vid, Adrian. I've always thought the GOAT of openers was Mike Bloomfield's on Our Love Is Drifting from Butterfield's first album. Absolute perfection!

Excellent video. Each one of those examples really demonstrates how much feeling and taste each player brings to their approach in the celebration of such a 20th-century defining genre. I'm glad it's still inspiring players into the next one. It's funny that most guitarists learn blues style practically as their ABCs and then opt to either depart from it was much as possible as an anachronism, or double down and improve their blues playing or apply it elsewhere. I think the preponderance of blues and metal style in guitar magazines have dulled their impact, and this video does thorough job of resharpening these licks.

Thank you, Adrian. Great playing and tone, as usual. Although I appreciate your humility, I would only add that even if you had decided to include any ideas/licks of your own, there's no way they would be "mediocre."

Thanks Adrian…just discovered your channel! Trying to teach myself guitar (I play bluegrass banjo & bass guitar). Nice intro to intros. Two questions. Bends easier on Gibson scale & fretboard radius vs Fender w/ 10’s? And on your amp, you have a little jumper-cable between channels (?)…can you explain how that works & what it does? Thanks!
