Love that you ended with Peter Green. Lot's of folks probably think that he is hyped, but then he'd have to be the most least well known hyped player in history. There's a reason why people refer to his playing. I mean when BB King says he wants you to play at his funeral you must know something about phrasing and making the phrases sing. And that's not to mention his incredible talents as a singer songwriter. RIP
Adrian, my elementary school art classes are enjoying your vinyl record! Wanting more!!!
Amazing! Very nice to be soundtracking elementary school art classes. There will be a follow up at some point I'm sure...
After Vinny u remember me ? I shall steal some off ya licks unless....
That class has a classy teacher!
Respect for putting, Hubert Sumlin in there, pretty underrated in compilations like this one.
Just because he's called Hubert too?
Good to know I'm not the only one who does those shoulder movements when playing Crosscut Saw 😀
Adrian, i think you are the best youtube guitar teacher 👍
Smashing video to get us into the weekend, T bone , the three Kings, sumlin, bloomfield, Hendrix, SRV, calpton, all tasty motifs to add to your riff library.
Great stuff Adrian keep up the good work
great lessons, thanks, wonderful blues history
Yes some of my favourite guitar players covered here, nice one thanks.
Great instruction. New subscriber!
What an amazing selection!! You can't go wrong with the players you chose. Thanks for another great video!!
Very good job on that BB King lick. Very good. It'll move you. You did Peter Green proud, too. His tone....well, you know.
Great vid, Adrian. I've always thought the GOAT of openers was Mike Bloomfield's on Our Love Is Drifting from Butterfield's first album. Absolute perfection!
This lesson was a great idea. So easy to kick off with something too complicated and it’s harder to build a great solo. Thanks !
you killed it once again Adrian !!!
Outstanding lesson!
Great lesson!
Excellent video. Each one of those examples really demonstrates how much feeling and taste each player brings to their approach in the celebration of such a 20th-century defining genre. I'm glad it's still inspiring players into the next one. It's funny that most guitarists learn blues style practically as their ABCs and then opt to either depart from it was much as possible as an anachronism, or double down and improve their blues playing or apply it elsewhere. I think the preponderance of blues and metal style in guitar magazines have dulled their impact, and this video does thorough job of resharpening these licks.
Thank you, Adrian. Great playing and tone, as usual. Although I appreciate your humility, I would only add that even if you had decided to include any ideas/licks of your own, there's no way they would be "mediocre."
Nothing mediocre about your licks Adrian! Great video🎉
Another excellent lesson and excellent choices of classic blues dude licks.
As always excellent lesson thanks Adrian
Great as always. Do you like Mick Taylor’s blues playing with Mayall and the stones? Thanks for the upload
One of the best blues ever played
Gracias loco, saludos desde Argentina. Te recomiendo que escuches Pappo´s Blues.
Great lesson Adrian, and good to see Bloomfield in there with the Super Sessions album.
Good video. Thanks.
Anyone is the best 👍👍☝👍👍☝👍
The "other"Albert, Collins that is, would've been a great option too!
Thank you
Excellent!
Rory Gallagher had a unique style for a blues-rock player.
Please make some T-Bone-focused lessons.
Thanks for this. If you want to hear a pretty good version of Red House, Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush do it justice on their Real Live album. His website allows you to listen to all his catalogue.
Thanks Adrian…just discovered your channel! Trying to teach myself guitar (I play bluegrass banjo & bass guitar). Nice intro to intros. Two questions. Bends easier on Gibson scale & fretboard radius vs Fender w/ 10’s? And on your amp, you have a little jumper-cable between channels (?)…can you explain how that works & what it does? Thanks!
Please do The Fan and The Bellows by The Chameleons!
Hi, I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on love burns buy black rebel motorcycle club would really appreciate the help also learnt how to play from your channel!
Thanks
Hopefully not a silly question I'm asking Adrian how do you keep all your guitars dust free when racked up like yours. Also your a great teacher I'm 70 years old and started to learn to play about 3 months a go and now addicted to your channel. Thanks Chris .
You can buy cheap dust covers off the internet, around the £17 mark.
Any chance you could do some SRV stuff? Pride and Joy is never taught properly.
Adrian, do you recall the gauge strings you use in this vid? I'm thinking I'll need to go lighter (than 9-46) to help train my bend accuracy!
😊
Hi Adrian! How about making a video on Bow Wow Wow’s Aphrodisiac?
I first heard it a some 8 or 9 years ago on a ladies underwear ad from Myers in Australia and it blew my mind!
Go and check it out.
A vid devoted to Mike Bloomfield would be appreciated.
Like deployed 👍
😎🎙🎸✅️
i´ve had 3 ditto x2 loopers they have all broken down
👍🏻👍🏻
Funny how you're not that keen on SRV, he's probably the only of these Great Guitar Heroes that I like. YMMV, and all that..
Not a huge SRV fan 😯
Thank you very much Adrian. BTW: What gauge strings are you using? They seem to be very light?
Thanks Tim. I use Ernie Ball 10-42 on all electrics, so light-ish but not super light.
Rythm + solo mix Pieces by you would be appreciated
I've never heard you play ANY mediocre licks
Somebody has been conditioning their fretboard 🙃
Hahah . I started a law degree coz it's easier than playing guitar....
