Hey Hanna, Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback, we are excited about getting some back stories and documenting parts of RAGBRAI that aren't well covered in most RAGBRAI coverage on RUclips. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
In 2010, I was launched into the air at 40 mph. When I hit the pavement, I was upside down, still locked into the pedals, bike between my legs. The L front quarter of the helmet was melted away as I slid along the pavement. I add this comment to echo, "Wear a helmet". It most assuredly saved my life. And to reinforce how great the helmet industry is in advising to not wear a crashed helmet and doesn't hesitate to replace a helmet that has been in a crash. All the best. See you next week on RAGBRAI. J
Howdy, Wow... What a crazy and scary story. Thank God you were wearing a helmet. I've had several incidents where I'm sure the helmet saved me from very serious injuries but your story is another level.... 40 mph!!!! See you in Iowa! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Enjoy the Ride
Oh my gosh, a video of the two of you without coordinated outfits. Mark that day on the calendar! LOL I like your wool shirts. I've been moving back to wool as well. Wool socks and blanket so far. I just bought a recumbent a couple weeks ago because my legs atrophied last winter and 3 wheels should be safer in the event of a slick spot or ice patch during winter month down here in Utah. OH MAN! My knees and groin are sore and I'm having to gradually ride it for my body to adjusted to it.
Hey Tom! You caught us in a moment of matchy-matchy weakness. :( We were super impressed with the performance of the merino wool shirts we wore on The Apollo Mission. They never developed a smell even after wearing them for several days (or more) between washing. The lycra type fabric most bike jerseys are made of certainly don't have that property. I'm guessing we'll slowly get rid of all our older jerseys and continue to move towards merino wool bike clothing. Interesting feedback on our recumbent experience. I've never riding one outside of the stationary recumbent bike in the gym. I have been training on both my upright trainer bike setup in the basement and the recumbent in the gym. My biggest concern is some left hip pain I get after riding the recumbent in the gym which I'm sure is a by-product of the hematoma and bruising I got during the skateboard incident. I suspect I have a hip bone bruise. I'll keep training, stretching and taking Advil and hope for the best. I hope you are continuing to adjust to your new recumbent and are experiencing less knee and groin pain. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Subscriber 48! We are super excited to see you again. We missed hanging out with you last year. And yes, Disco doesn't know what he's in for but I'm sure will have a good time. See ya soon. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
wow its getting closer !! See you on RAGBRAI !! I'm going to get to ride home because I live in Davenport !! I'm meeting a bunch of riders in Coralville and riding home including my wife. I'm so happy for both of you that you are going to get to ride some days ! I'll be looking for you.
Hey Bill, You are absolutely right...RAGBRAI is just around the corner. Hard to believe. How cool is it you get to ride home at the end and with a bunch of friends, incredible. We hope to see you. Come by the Expo on Saturday and/or the Iowa Beer Bus stop on Day 2. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
I had an accident a little over a week ago training for Ragbrai and fell breaking my radial head (fancy schmancy for my elbow) - not nearly as severe as your shoulder as no surgery or cast is needed but I'm still in a sling and mulling my options to still ride in a week. Staying positive and inspired by you two! Hope to catch you both at the Iowa Beer Bus.
Hey Scott, Sorry to hear about your accident. I totally understand how frustrating it is to have an injury this close to the best week of the year. We hope you find a solution so you can ride as much of RAGBRAI as possible. Looking forward to seeing you at the Iowa Beer Bus!! Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
That's great. Come say hi to us at either the Expo on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 or on Monday at the Iowa Beer Bus stop in Mount Carmel, will be there all day. Will be announcing an exact location for the meetup on Saturday on Instagram @busesbikesbeers Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Greer!! Glad you like the new threads. And we are super happy you enjoyed the dramatic reenactment. It was intended to be funny...I mean if you can't make fun of yourself and the unfortunate things life throws at you, then that's jus sad. Fitzgerald's gets two thumbs up. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey David, Yes!! I have a lot of training to do but I think we'll be ready. We are definitely getting excited now that we have a plan. See you soon. Enjoy the Ride
I'm sure it wasn't funny when it happened but the dramatic re-enactment was laugh out loud genius. Thank you for that. Happy to hear you're going to make RAGBRAI work.
Hey JoAnn, You are spot on, it wasn't funny when it happened but you have to have a sense of humor about all the crap life hands out so we are glad to hear you found the reenactment humorous as intended. :) We do have as good a plan for RAGBRAI as we could hope for given the situation and thanks to the amazing generosity of Lance and Barb. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Katherine, We aren't riding the day RAGBRAI pulls into Ames. We are hanging out with the Pork Belly crew attempting to film their process. An option would be to come by the Pork Belly camp at Tower's Field. Let us know if that's something you'd like to try. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
It's awesome you both are going to be able to RAGBRAI. I look forward to meeting up on at least one of the 7 days. And, I am very glad you both are doing well after that incident!!
Hey Lane, Yes! We are very happy we were able to put a reasonable RAGBRAI plan together, thanks in a large part to the generosity of Lance and Barb. We are excited to seeing you face to face in Iowa, it's just around the corner. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
It’s awesome you will be able to do RAGBRAI. I wish I could come this year. Hopefully everyone will come visit when you are doing the beer truck. I can’t wait to see all the coverage videos you will be making for the event this year.
Hey Sydney, Thanks...we are also super happy we were able to put a RAGBRAI plan together and thanks to Lance and Barb for their generosity. We also hope folks will come visit us and hang out. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Enjoy the Ride
Glad you are both still going to RAGBRAI. I never used to wear a helmet but since riding a lot more in the last couple years I started to wear one. Good thing I have. I crashed three times hitting my head all three times and the helmet saved me. Definitely a lesson to be learned for others. So I am thinking of now changing my sign off to GHSAST. GOAT HEADS SUCK AND SKATE BOARDS TOO. LOL...OK I will just stick with GHS. Glad you are on the mend. Hope to see you both at the Expo. GHS
Howdy Frank! We are happy to hear you are wearing a helmet....it's really important as you know. I'm 100% sure the helmet saved me this accident and when I got hit by a car back in 2020. You only get one brain. Skateboards do suck when they get right in front of your bike. At least the goat heads didn't break any of my bones. :) I'm definitely on the mend...just not fast enough for my liking. We'll see you in Iowa. Glad to hear you'll be stopping by the Expo to hang out with us. Enjoy the Ride GHSAST...ok...just GHS
That's exciting and congratulations for making the great decision to participate in RAGBRAI. Please stop by one of the meet ups or the Iowa Beer Bus stop on Day 2 and say hi to us. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Bud!!! I hear ya, super excited about RAGBRAI and seeing everyone. Thanks for watching and thanks for all the support. You guys ROCK!! Enjoy the Ride
Glad you are healing up and will still be able to attend. This year is my first Ragbrai and during a ride a few weeks ago I had a wreck. I have a Bontrager helmet and was within 2 weeks of my 1 year purchase date. I brought it to the bike shop and 5 minutes later I had my free replacement....awesome benefit with their helmets. Stay safe and we'll see you on Ragbrai!
Hey Chris, Thanks..I'm healing but wish it was at a faster rate. We are happy we were able to put a RAGBRAI plan together that makes the best of our situation, thanks to Lance and Barb. Sorry to hear you had a wreck but happy you didn't get seriously hurt. Also, super cool you were able to take advantage of the Bontrager crash policy. Such a great thing they do. Two thumbs way up. See you in Iowa. Hope you're able to stop by the meet up at Expo on Saturday and/or at the Iowa Beer Bus stop on Day 2. Thanks for watching, Enjoy the Ride
For us RAGBRAI is the best week of the year. It's so fun. I'm glad we were able to come up with a reasonable plan for this year given my injury. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Angela, We are looking forward to meeting you as well. So pumped for RAGBRAI and to meet some of our awesome viewers. And Disco is super excited for his first RAGBRAI. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Walt, You might be right. We did warn him ahead of time that we'd be filming and he'd be on RUclips so maybe he dug deep into his internal Actor. :) Thanks for the concern and we are also happy the accident wasn't worse. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
You guys are my inspiration and why I am about to fly over from London to ride RAGBRAI. With PBV also and hope I get a chance to buy you both a beer. Already hungry for your RAGBRAI L content online. Stay safe guys
Hey Ian, Thanks for watching and for the kind words. We are super happy to hear we helped you decide to make the journey to join what we think is the best week of the year. We are looking forward to having a beer with you. Hope you travel from London is safe and uneventful. See you in Iowa. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Amy, Thanks for watching and for the comment. We think our RAGBRAI plan is as good as it could be given the situation we find ourselves in. I will be as careful as possible while still enjoying the awesomeness of RAGBRAI. Thanks for the concern. Enjoy the Ride
So glad you’ve got a good plan in place for RAGBRAI - a great example of making lemonade out of lemons! I will look for you at the Expo and/or the Iowa Beer Bus.
Hey Michael, Thanks for watching and for the comment. We are absolutely trying to make the best out of the situation life has handed us. We'll see you soon! Enjoy the Ride
Epic reenactment scene! LOL'ing at that one for sure. So excited the to hear you have a solution for RAGBRAI; what great friends for reaching out and helping you still make that possible. Looking forward to seeing you two on the road in IA this year, I can't wait!!!
Hey Kathryn, Thanks! That reenactment was fun to film and edit and hey, if you can't make fun of yourself and the crap that happens to you, that would be sad. We are so grateful for the generosity of Lance and Barb for enabling us to put a RAGBRAI plan together. Stop by the Iowa Beer Bus on Day 2 and say "howdy". Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey David, Thanks for the well wishes. The shoulder seems to be healing at the expected rate...not sure if that's on a trajectory to end up at the factory settings but hopefully close enough. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Thank you Mary Beth and Brentley for your fantastic work! Like you, I've been inspired by Ryan Van Duzer to get out biking and I'm looking forward to meeting you two at RAGBRAI! You two really complement the spirit Duzer shares in his videos for us more "experienced" individuals with a few more years on our saddles. Your approach to RAGBRAI this year is great and I'm sure many of us are looking forward to seeing the behind-the-scenes logistics of the event. Again, congratulations on your accomplishments and wishes of good health for RAGBRAI and beyond. Thank you for sharing all of your positive constructive fun with all of us! Chris C. - fellow Priority Apollo rider - riding with the Pella Cycling Club, Pella, Iowa - from Plano, Illinois
Hey Chris, Ryan has absolutely been a huge inspiration for us. Thank you so much for the kind words about BBB Adventures complementing VanDuzer, given how we feel about Ryan, that's a super inspirational thing for us to hear. We are looking forward to meeting you as well. Hopefully you are able to come to the Expo meet up and/or the Iowa Beer Bus stop or look for us on the route. We hope you enjoy your Apollo as much as we love ours. Thanks again for watching and for all the kind words. Enjoy the Ride
EPIC REENACTMENT SCENE!!! What goes around comes around and I’m not at all surprised that a viewer offered you a solution. How generous and kind! I’m glad you’ll be able to ride and I will be interested in checking out the PBV vids as well.
Hey Matt, Thanks for commenting about our recreation of the skateboard incident! We had a fun time putting that together. We are so grateful that we have viewers like Lance and Barb that enabled us to put a plan together for this year. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
trying to get the missus into this idea.. she is the rider not I but, I would love to try in 2024. would love to see y'all. and maybe RVD. Best of luck BBB team
Hey Bill, So glad you enjoy the content, thanks for the feedback. And we are happy you'll meet us at the Iowa Beer Bus on Day 2!! Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey you 2..This will be interesting with Brently being a stroker....not to mention leaving Mary Beth behind...well possibly ahead... without a doubt, both of you know the secret to longitivity...simply looking forward to so much....keep the cameras rolling..there is never dull input from you 2😮... later
Howdy! It's definitively going to be an interesting RAGBRAI and we are working to make the best of it. It'll be fun to see how the "normal" speed of the recumbent tandem matches Mb on her all carbon road bike. I'm thinking one secret to longevity is not crashing your bike...something I need to work on. :) Thanks for watching and support BBB Adventures. Enjoy the Ride
@@BBB_Adventures yes I understand. I loved the videos, from the Apollo mission, you were able to capture the fun and sadness when RAGBRAI came to an end. One day I will participate in RAGBRAI. It’s a long way from Melbourne Australia. Until then I will watch your video to get the magic that comes with RAGBRAI 😄
Happy to hear you are making Ragbrai. Hanging out with Mike at the beer bus will be a blast, he is certainly a great guy! I believe we are going off route that day down the Sauk Rail Trial from Breda to Carroll but that could change:)
Hey Stacy, We are pumped we have a good RAGBRAI plan after all that's been going on. Mike is a gem and we are looking forward to hanging with him and his team all day on Day 2. If you're plan changes and your pedal past the Iowa Beer Bus, please stop by. Or if possible stop by our meet up at Expo on Saturday. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Welcome to the darkside 🤣 .Careful though once you go recumbent you may not want to go back lol..Less the 2 weeks to go all geared up(except for a trike gear problem) and ready to hop on the bus going west. Can not wait for the 21st when I hop the PBV bus to Sioux City..It is time to get this party rolling!!!
Howdy, I'm looking forward to my first recumbent experience and we are so grateful to Lance and Barb for providing this opportunity for us. You are right, RAGBRAI is coming quickly and we are also super pumped for it. We are taking the PBV bus on Friday afternoon, maybe we'll see you then. If not, stop by the meet up at Expo on Saturday and come see us at the Iowa Beer Bus stop on Day 2. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
I'm so happy that you are able to make it to RAGBRAI, and I like the idea of showing the logistics of pork belly too! It's a great idea, and I think it's going to give a little perspective to people who use them. I've never seen a recumbent like that before, and hats or helmets 😉off to the couple who are letting you use it; that's true generosity. Good luck and I hope to catch up at some point with you during RAGBRAI. Safe travels.
Hey Scott, Thanks, we are also super happy we were able to put a plan together for RAGBRAI. Pork Belly is a huge operation and we'll do our best to capture enough to tell the story about how they pull it off. The recumbent tandem is going to be great and really is the key thing that is allowing me to ride and YES, Lance and Barb are super generous people and we are grateful for their friendship. Please find us at one of the meet ups or at the Iowa Beer Bus on Day 2, we'd love to meet you face to face. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
so excited that you are both able to still come to ragbrai and ride! looking forward to the behind the scenes look at the ride, I've always wondered about the logistics of a charter like pork belly. Will definitely see you at the expo, and I'll keep an eye out for the iowa beer bus! thanks for the reminder about helmet maintenance, too!
Hey Michelle! So great to hear from you. Hope all is well. We are also super excited we were able to put a RAGBRAI plan together. Pork Belly is a big operation and hopefully we'll be able to adequately capture the process enough to put something interesting together. Looking forward to seeing you. The Iowa Beer Bus will be in Mount Carmel about 8 miles from the end town on Day 2. Hope to see you there. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Very brave for bringing us back to that dreadful moment by reenacting the frightful scene. Awesome that Lance and Barb have come to the rescue. Making sure the L in RAGBRAI L means 50 and not something else! I would love to go to the ride but crowds aren't my thing. Have a lot of fun as I'm sure you will!
Hey Buck! Great to hear from you. I'm glad you enjoyed the dramatic re-enactment. I mean, if you have to be able to make fun of yourself and the unfortunate things that come you way. Totally agree, Lance and Barb are fantastic people and absolutely rescued our RAGBRAI plan and agree we need to keep the L to it's intended meaning. I get the crowd thing, maybe you can ride RAGBRAI in 2024 when the crowds should be less? Thanks for watching and for the support. Enjoy the Ride
Hey John, Thanks for watching and for the comment. We are also happy we were able to develop a good plan for this year given all the stuff that's happened. Mb's blood pressure is under control, thanks for asking. Mb decided to ride her Giant all carbon fiber road bike for multiple reasons. When you have as many bikes as we do, you have to spread the love. :) Also, we weren't able to train as much as we wanted so she wants to ride her lightest/fastest bike. Thanks again for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Ron, Absolutely. We didn't change the stock WTB Pure saddles that came on the Apollo bikes. The only issue we had with our saddle or butts was at the beginning when I was wearing bike shorts that were too loose and wore a hole in my skin where the sit bones contact the saddle. This was not the the fault of the saddle and was caused by too much relative motion between the chamois and my butt. We both thought the saddles were comfortable and were happy with their performance all summer. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any specific questions about the saddles. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Julie!! Oh yes....must milk it for all it's worth. It was fun to film and edit the dramatic reenactment and glad to hear you enjoyed it. We are pretty happy we were able to put a RAGBRAI plan together that makes the best of our situation. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
I learned about RAGBRAI from your videos. Having your schedule will make it easy for this newbie to stop by to say thanks for the inspiration! Happy to hear that your collar bone is healing and you will get to ride! 8AM ET.🚴♀️🍺👍
Hey Kathy, It's super cool and inspiring for us to know you learned about RAGBRAI and felt compelled to participate from BBB Adventures. Thanks for letting us know and we looking forward to seeing you in Iowa. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
They’re not doing the record (officially) anymore. Between the logistics, and the cost associated with documenting it, it’s no longer happening with Guinness.
Howdy, Thanks for the clarification, I guess we hadn't heard that. Oh well, it's still going to be an epic number of riders and we are looking forward to participating. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Enjoy the Ride
I think Bentley needs to be required to wear full impact body armor. We need the channel to continue to cycle all of ragbrai. At least the same upper body protection that American footballers have.
Howdy, This is not a bad idea given the fact I've broken both collarbones while riding (or crashing) a bike in the last several years. I wonder if the American football uniform would be comfortable for cycling in the Iowa July heat? Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Chris, Yes....recumbent it is. I've never ridden one but it's the only way my Dr. would agree to my participation and we are super grateful that Lance and Barb are helping us with their recumbent tandem. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
I was interested in your mention of Team 985. I live in New Orleans, and am interested in doing RAGBRAI 2025 if I can find a way to and from Iowa (I don't have a car, and I don't drive). Would you have any ideas? Thanks!
Hey Cecile, Thanks for watching and for the comment. We have good friends on Team 985 and they appear in several of our episodes from our adventures going south for the winter to "Escape the Snow". Please reach out to me either with a message on Instagram (@busesbikesbeers) or an email at busesbikesbeers@gmail.com and we can discuss connecting you with Team 985. Thanks. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Dave, Thanks for watching! We are so fortunate we were able to put a good plan together given all that's going on. Looking forward to seeing you in Iowa. You only get one brain, protect it with a helmet. Enjoy the Ride
Great re-enactment and glad you're moving on from it, and that it includes bikes. I always enjoy watching engineers go down the path of figuring something out, and trying to explain their thoughts. You have a busy schedule will be interesting to see which part of pork belly you follow and document. Follow the bags? Signage people? Shower people? Maintenance people? Entertainers? Bosses? Camp tent people? Will there be interviews or just or just background and time lapsed? Will look for you at some point of the week, but won't take up your time as you have lots of friends to see. Be well and enjoy the ride ;-)
Hey Dave, Thanks for watching and we're happy to hear you enjoyed the reenactment, it was intended to demonstrate some humor about an unfortunate situation. Pork Belly is a huge operation and you're asking the same questions we are trying to maximize our ability to capture an interesting story about how they pull it off. You MUST hang out with us at some point during the week. Hopefully you can stop by the meet up at the Expo on Saturday and/or stop by the Iowa Beer Bus stop on Day 2. Looking forward to seeing you. Enjoy the Ride
Howdy, Good question. As we were putting this plan together we debated on which bike Mb should take and ended up selecting the Giant road bike for several reasons. We have a lot of bikes and need so share the love. :) But the biggest reason is given all that's been going on with us, she hasn't trained as much as she wanted and so she picked her lightest and fasted bike which is the all carbon fiber Giant. Also, she's been wanting to ride her Giant on RAGBRAI since these bikes are the ones we bought when we first moved to Taiwan and they didn't make it to the US until we repatriated in 2020. I think next year (2024) we'll be back on the Red Dragon but perhaps in 2025 the Apollos will make it back to Iowa. Thanks for watching and for the question. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Danny After reading your comment we reached out to Beth from Team 985 and I believe she's reached out to you. It's so cool we can get you guys together because the people of Team 985 are AWESOME!! Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
This is a logistical issue in which there are several solutions, but require advanced planning. Personally, we will park in long term parking in Davenport, get shuttled across the state and ride back to our car. The shuttle we use is with Pork Belly Ventures. We believe this service is sold out. There are also companies that offer shuttles at the end of the ride back to the start, but we don't know their names as we have never chosen this option. In terms of simply, where do you park? I think if you go to the RAGBRAI website there should be options there. We have friends who parked in long term parking on the west side of the state last year. But they had their shuttles arranged to get back. Hope this clears up some confusion and you find a solution.
Howdy, Good question. We have a bike trainer set up in our basement which is a road bike connected to a Wahoo Kickr smart trainer which supports the bike so I can ride without putting weight on the handlebars. Also, I've been going to Planet Fitness and training on the stationary recumbent bike. Unfortunately I can't train on the actual bike I'll be riding since Lance and Barb live in New York. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Awesome! Making lemonade out of the lemons. You've got some great ideas, great friends and a great adventure ahead. Way to go! Re: merino wool. Yup, so good. Originally started here, Cima Coppi now is in Spain making their most excellent wool cycling clothes. Check 'em out!
Hey Todd! Thanks for watching. We are doing our best to put something together to maximize our RAGBRAI experience given the situation we find ourselves in. We got turned onto Merino wool watching Ryan Van Duzer and were super impressed with how it performed on The Apollo Mission. We will definitely check out Cima Coppi, thanks for the recommendation. Enjoy the Ride
Hey David, We selected the green helmets last year as we were preparing for the Apollo Mission and the green/orange helmets matched our bikes and other gear well. When we made the claim to Bontrager for the free replacements after the skateboard incident, they gave us exact replacements including color. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
❤
Thanks Aaron! See ya soon.
I can’t wait to see you two!!
Love this plan!!! Can't wait to see all the behind the scenes!!! :)
Hey Hanna,
Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback, we are excited about getting some back stories and documenting parts of RAGBRAI that aren't well covered in most RAGBRAI coverage on RUclips.
Howdy,
Wow... What a crazy and scary story. Thank God you were wearing a helmet. I've had several incidents where I'm sure the helmet saved me from very serious injuries but your story is another level.... 40 mph!!!!
See you in Iowa!

Hey Tom!
You caught us in a moment of matchy-matchy weakness. :(
We were super impressed with the performance of the merino wool shirts we wore on The Apollo Mission.
Best of luck on the trip! Stay safe and bones intact!❤️
❤ Looking forward to seeing you both again! #Team985
Hey Janet,
So are we and it's coming fast. Thanks for watching and for all the support from Team985.
Enjoy the Ride
Looking forward to seeing you guys and meeting Disco!
Hey Subscriber 48!
We are super excited to see you again. We missed hanging out with you last year. And yes, Disco doesn't know what he's in for but I'm sure will have a good time.
See ya soon.
Thanks for watching.

wow its getting closer !! See you on RAGBRAI !! I'm going to get to ride home because I live in Davenport !! I'm meeting a bunch of riders in Coralville and riding home including my wife. I'm so happy for both of you that you are going to get to ride some days ! I'll be looking for you.

Hey Scott,
Sorry to hear about your accident. I totally understand how frustrating it is to have an injury this close to the best week of the year. We hope you find a solution so you can ride as much of RAGBRAI as possible.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Iowa Beer Bus!!
Thanks for watching.
Enjoy the Ride
I go on the rag every year and it’s so fun
That's great. Come say hi to us at either the Expo on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 or on Monday at the Iowa Beer Bus stop in Mount Carmel, will be there all day. Will be announcing an exact location for the meetup on Saturday on Instagram @busesbikesbeers
Thanks for watching.
Enjoy the Ride
1. Nice new shirts! 2. The dramatic reenactment was hilarious... only because I know you are ok! 3. Fitgerald's Bikes is the best!
Look for Mitch and Leslie from NC!! So glad you found a ride option.
Will do! Hopefully they can make one of the meet ups and/or stop by the Iowa Beer Bus on Day 2 in Mount Carmel.
Thanks for Watching
Enjoy the Ride
2 more weeks. See you in Sioux City!
Hey David,
Yes!!
Hey JoAnn,
You are spot on, it wasn't funny when it happened but you have to have a sense of humor about all the crap life hands out so we are glad to hear you found the reenactment humorous as intended. :)
We do have as good a plan for RAGBRAI as we could hope for given the situation and thanks to the amazing generosity of Lance and Barb.
Thanks for watching.

I'm not a biker in RAGBRAI but I live in Ames. I would enjoy meeting you during your time in Ames. Safe travels!
Hey Katherine,
We aren't riding the day RAGBRAI pulls into Ames.
Hey Lane,
Yes!
Hey Sydney,
Thanks...we are also super happy we were able to put a RAGBRAI plan together and thanks to Lance and Barb for their generosity. We also hope folks will come visit us and hang out.
Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Enjoy the Ride
Can’t wait to see y’all.
Hey Vic,
Thanks for watching!
We are also looking forward to meeting you. It's coming fast now!
I'm definitely on the mend...just not fast enough for my liking.
We'll see you in Iowa. Glad to hear you'll be stopping by the Expo to hang out with us.
Enjoy the Ride
GHSAST...ok...just GHS
I will be there. It is my first RAGBRAI.
That's exciting and congratulations for making the great decision to participate in RAGBRAI. Please stop by one of the meet ups or the Iowa Beer Bus stop on Day 2 and say hi to us.
Thanks for watching.
Enjoy the Ride
Love all of this, except the crash. Great reenactment though. So looking forward to next week, can we leave today!???! Love you guys 🍻
Hey Chris,
Thanks..I'm healing but wish it was at a faster rate.
Thanks for watching,
Enjoy the Ride
Sounds so fun
For us RAGBRAI is the best week of the year. It's so fun. I'm glad we were able to come up with a reasonable plan for this year given my injury.
Thanks for watching.
Enjoy the Ride
Can't wait to meet you guys. And Disco !!!!!
Hey Angela,
We are looking forward to meeting you as well. So pumped for RAGBRAI and to meet some of our awesome viewers. And Disco is super excited for his first RAGBRAI.
Thanks for watching.
Enjoy the Ride
The bike shop dude has some acting experience I think.😊 Glad you guys and the pooch are OK.
Hey Walt,
You might be right. We did warn him ahead of time that we'd be filming and he'd be on RUclips so maybe he dug deep into his internal Actor. :)
Thanks for the concern and we are also happy the accident wasn't worse.
Thanks for watching.
Enjoy the Ride
You guys are my inspiration and why I am about to fly over from London to ride RAGBRAI. With PBV also and hope I get a chance to buy you both a beer. Already hungry for your RAGBRAI L content online. Stay safe guys
Hey Ian,
Thanks for watching and for the kind words. We are super happy to hear we helped you decide to make the journey to join what we think is the best week of the year. We are looking forward to having a beer with you.
Hope you travel from London is safe and uneventful. See you in Iowa.
Enjoy the Ride
This sounds like a great idea!! You guys rock!! Be careful, Mister!!!
Hey Amy,
Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Hey Michael,
Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Hey Kathryn,
Thanks!
I hope that your shoulder returns to factory settings soon! Happy, safe adventures!
Hey David,
Thanks for the well wishes.
Hey Chris,
Ryan has absolutely been a huge inspiration for us.
Hey Matt,
Thanks for commenting about our recreation of the skateboard incident! We had a fun time putting that together. We are so grateful that we have viewers like Lance and Barb that enabled us to put a plan together for this year.
Thanks for watching.
Enjoy the Ride
Hip, hip, hooray, hip, hip, hooray
I know the reenactment was awesome. I’m glad that Brently is recovering well and Disco was unharmed. 😂
trying to get the missus into this idea.. she is the rider not I but, I would love to try in 2024. would love to see y'all. and maybe RVD. Best of luck BBB team
Love your video's! Looking forward to seeing you at the Craft Beer tent!
Hey Bill,
So glad you enjoy the content, thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for watching and support BBB Adventures.
Enjoy the Ride
Enjoy the ride guys and be safe!
Hey Suresh,
Absolutely, we'll be safe and it's hard not to enjoy the ride when it's RAGBRAI.
Thanks for watching.
I would love to meet up. Can't wait.
Hey Chris,
Looking forward to seeing you face to face. It won't be long now.
Thanks for watching.
Enjoy the Ride
Happy to hear you are making Ragbrai. Hanging out with Mike at the beer bus will be a blast, he is certainly a great guy! I believe we are going off route that day down the Sauk Rail Trial from Breda to Carroll but that could change:)
Hey Stacy,
We are pumped we have a good RAGBRAI plan after all that's been going on.
Howdy,
I'm looking forward to my first recumbent experience and we are so grateful to Lance and Barb for providing this opportunity for us.
Hey Scott,
Thanks, we are also super happy we were able to put a plan together for RAGBRAI.
Glad y’all will make it.
How’s the blood pressure issue? And no Priority?? Have a fantastic week!!
Hey John,
Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Can you please tell me how comfortable your saddle was during your trip a rose America?
Hey Ron,
Absolutely.
Oh the drama!!! Way to milk it. Glad you’re ok and have an exciting RAGBRAI plan.
Julie!!
Oh yes....must milk it for all it's worth. It was fun to film and edit the dramatic reenactment and glad to hear you enjoyed it. We are pretty happy we were able to put a RAGBRAI plan together that makes the best of our situation.
Thanks for watching.

I learned about RAGBRAI from your videos. Having your schedule will make it easy for this newbie to stop by to say thanks for the inspiration! Happy to hear that your collar bone is healing and you will get to ride! 8AM ET.🚴♀️🍺👍
Hey Kathy,
It's super cool and inspiring for us to know you learned about RAGBRAI and felt compelled to participate from BBB Adventures. Thanks for letting us know and we looking forward to seeing you in Iowa.
Thanks for watching.
Enjoy the Ride
They’re not doing the record (officially) anymore. Between the logistics, and the cost associated with documenting it, it’s no longer happening with Guinness.
Howdy,
Thanks for the clarification, I guess we hadn't heard that.
Howdy,
This is not a bad idea given the fact I've broken both collarbones while riding (or crashing) a bike in the last several years. I wonder if the American football uniform would be comfortable for cycling in the Iowa July heat?
Thanks for watching.
Enjoy the Ride
Recumbent, hmmm, sounds familiar.
Hey Chris,
Yes....recumbent it is. I've never ridden one but it's the only way my Dr. would agree to my participation and we are super grateful that Lance and Barb are helping us with their recumbent tandem.
Thanks for watching.

I was interested in your mention of Team 985. I live in New Orleans, and am interested in doing RAGBRAI 2025 if I can find a way to and from Iowa (I don't have a car, and I don't drive). Would you have any ideas? Thanks!
Hey Cecile,
Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Thanks.

Great plan for RAGBRAI 50! See you there😊
"....you only get one brain."
Hey Dave,
Thanks for watching!
Hey Dave,
Thanks for watching and we're happy to hear you enjoyed the reenactment, it was intended to demonstrate some humor about an unfortunate situation.
I’ll see y’all at the expo
Hey Hunter,
Absolutely, looking forward to it.
Thanks for watching.

Oh my goodness, I can’t wait for the Behind The Scenes peak of Ragbrai. Quick question, why is MB not pedaling the Priority?
Howdy,
Good question.
Is Team 985 on RUclips, FB, IG? I live in South La and would like to meet up sometime. Thanks
Hey Danny
After reading your comment we reached out to Beth from Team 985 and I believe she's reached out to you. It's so cool we can get you guys together because the people of Team 985 are AWESOME!!
Thanks for watching.

Sorry my ignorance but I’m so confused maybe you can give me same tips , I don’t understand where do I have to leave my car parked?
On Sioux City? And then ?
Yea like you say it maybe is sold out, so I don’t know what can I do I will see 🤞🏼🤞🏼thanks so much for you help!!!
How are you going to train now?
Howdy,
Good question.
@@BBB_Adventures see ya in Sioux City!

Why not red helmets ⛑..?….,, don’t like the green, red stands out……
Hey David,
We selected the green helmets last year as we were preparing for the Apollo Mission and the green/orange helmets matched our bikes and other gear well. When we made the claim to Bontrager for the free replacements after the skateboard incident, they gave us exact replacements including color.
Thanks for watching.
