I think its worth mentioning Down Down was number 1 at a time long long before streaming took hold of the charts, in fact it was long before downloading, or even cd singles. So it really was the only official Quo number one. I think modern adjusted charts are way off compared to the actual time the singles and albums actually were released. But yes a great review mate 👍
As you’ve pointed out already, the early 90’s version (from the RTYD tour) was amazing….when the pre-walk on music was Rock Till You Drop, that faded out then the whole band kicked in. Personally I don’t think even Quo themselves have ever bettered the version of DD from that tour….
Magnificent
Tremendous 👍🎸🎸
Definitely is a tremendous song.

Quo at their absolute finest. This one definitely falls into my top three all time Quo songs.
Yup, it is definitely Quo at their best.

Preserved was my first VHS, bought from Woolworths!
Was the first Quo video that I got, think for Christmas in 1989. Obviously far too short, but I did love it and watched it many times.
Definitely one of their top 4 songs….and I’ve yet to hear a single cover band or Quo tribute band nail it properly….
Yeah I have seen a cover band play it, and just wasn't the same.
Never mind, essential Quo track, it is just an essential track.
