I 100% support the theory that it was military-related, especially once you explain that after it started being tested on, the only sample disappeared and it never happened again.
but this has happened in other places around the world too.
@@goodcomps proof
@@infohazard , umm, look online, why should i do your reading for you?
@@goodcomps You made a claim, thus you have the burden of proof. Even without this, you claimed it has happened elsewhere, and simply expect people to believe you and look it up themselves with no other information that could easily be given. Heck, even the names of the locations to make it possible to find the information, and make you more credible
@@kisukebomb3750 yes. Read things for yourself. But if it is easier to use an ad hominem attack than read it for yourself, that is a you problem, not a me problem.
You are upset i didn't hand feed you the answer? Oh well.
The fact that the blobs ended up on top of cars, got smeared on that one windshield, etc, is at the very least compelling evidence that the blobs *did* fall from the sky.
Or from trees.
@@Foolish188 WHILE the police were DRIVING?
@@deborahhopkinson5243 You don't have trees where you live? Stuff falls from trees all the time. Had a bat fall off a tree and hit my windshield while I was driving once. It wasn't flying, the dead branch it was hanging under broke off and hit my car.
@@Foolish188 Stuff that falls from trees will be concentrated bellow and near trees, and the range from the tree would be dictated by weight.
They did... I was there. Still live in the area.
100% a bio-weapon dispersal test. We know they did things like this. And a gel rain would actually be pretty effective, albeit maybe too localized.
Ok, at first I disagreed. But then I heard it appeared man made and to disperse bacteria.
Definitely a "mostly non-leathal" localized test of bio-weapon technology on the unsuspecting American public.
Its not that big a stretch. The US government has done it before... several times.
Acrylamide monomer that hasn't polymerized is known to have neurotoxic properties as seen in industrial workers who are overexposed. It's used to produce polyacrylamide, which has similar properties to polyacrylate and is used as a floculant in sewage treatment.
This. People love conspiracy theories but the military/government isn't magic that can sneak into labs and steal/destroy samples in the span of a few hours without leaving any evidence. If it was the 40s-70s, maybe. But not in 94
I was there. I told my sister last year that I had been only this sick ( with Covid) one other time. 1994! I was in bed for 3 months.
OMG, what do you think it was?
Could you tell me more of your experiences if interested, as I am writing a chapter on it for a book.
I'm really not into conspiracy theories but this is one of those cases I wouldn't put passed the government. They got a pretty good track record when it comes to this stuff.
yeah, I don't see why the government should be trusted more than any other group of corruptible humans
granted I'm a literal anarchist so there are probably a few too many tinfoil hats sitting around the ol' place
Simon, You put out so much content that I'm afraid that you're being held captive in that basement. If so, signal us by turning the seam on the lampshade toward the wall. We'll be watching.
He holds the writers locked up in the basement so they can churn out manuscripts 😜

Biggest plot twist ever - Simon is in the basement and the cellar crew is actually on the surface.
This comment is just appalling, that seam should already be toward the wall. Fix it Simon or no supper!!!
Please do a video on how Simon Whistler has multiple clones/robot doubles that allow him to be in half the videos on RUclips.

He's just that damn good.....
Wrong.
He's actually a popular model of lizard people disguise. The 2022 model comes with no beard but no lizard purchased it.
What’s so sad is that he is literally just an employee for a big media company that owns all of these “channels”.
Half? I see you’re missing some of his channels. I think the percentage is closer to 84.37%. 🤔
This really sounds like a SCP containment breach. They are lucky that the Foundation didn't ignite the on-site nuclear warheads...
His sample mysteriously disappeared. Yeah, that doesn't sound like a government agency covering its tracks at all.
Cleanup on Aisle Six! Bring the sarcasm mop!
And sick animals disappearing 😕
Simon working for the blobs to convince us they're not real
Yep, Simon is just saying EXACTLY what one of the blobs would tell us on its own YT channel.
This reminds me of Lovecraft's "The Color Out Of Space"
How much did it kill Simon to say, "The Truth Is Out There." Fascinating video! ❤️
Bio weapons testing. Probably on the efficacy of the gel as a delivery system.
This story is local to me! I grew up just north of Seattle, so I'm always interested to hear if anyone's learned anything new about it. This video was well presented, and your team did an excellent job of putting everything together to share with the world what little we DO know about it.
So you're Canadian... lol... too bad the Van Washington to Van BC gast train never went in.
Hello, neighbor! Hi from OlyWA.
@@FC-tq1yj Nay, not Canadian. I grew up literally the next town North of Seattle.
I had some friends and family up in Mt. Vernon and Sedro Wooley that spoke of a boarder hopping train, but if memory serves, Amtrak fought to keep the "Cascade route" exclusive for them. I recall folk up there being upset with Amtrak, at least.
@@AllTheHappySquirrels Local-hi, as well, friend! I've been in Olympia for the past decade, actually. :3
@@OlyChickenGuy I grew up in the Van area and the fast train was definitely wanted from the citizens end of things...

Sounds like something that deserves a deeper dive on your Decoding the Unknown channel... fascinating incident that has yet to be explained.
I am perplexed you didn't address the most wild fact of all. That it apparently included white blood cells from humans. Of course the other labs said it was just some kind of eukaryotic cells, but that is a big part and the most interesting part of the story, you didn't elaborate.
Yes, that is the main thing I noticed from this video; he mentioned the human cells once, and NEVER included that fact in ANY of the possible scenarios. That was very interesting, and why I didn't subscribe.
@@deborahhopkinson5243 White blood cells, human or otherwise, contain nuclei, and the cells in the blobs did not have nuclei. Eukaryotes include all animals and plants, so not that helpful in narrowing it down. Whatever they were, they weren't human white blood cells. The problem is, there seem to be no samples left to test (laugh in a sinister fashion if you wish). So, we may never know.
He mentioned tht
4:45 he mentioned it, and went on to explain the details. You may have missed it while reading comments. I do this all the time. I'll go down into the comment section while still listening to the video, but completely miss certain things said and I'll end up having to go back to watch while paying attention. Lol my apologies if that's not what happened. Just thought it was the most likely scenario from my own experiences missing information said in videos.
They did started to mapp the genome back then so God knows what they wanted to test.
As a mother who has cleaned up more than one exploded diaper with my unfortunately bare hands, the stuff inside most certainly does NOT cause extreme illness just from touching it. If it could, many babies would have gotten sick or even died a long time ago.
The whole jelly fish theory seems far less plausible than it being some CIA shenanigans, but the polyacrilate theory seems far reasonable. After things like MK Ultra and the Tuskegee experiments, you just can't put anything past them!
I was going to say. The things that governments do/want to do/experiment with sometimes sounds like a bunch of 14 year olds. Surreal. It can be amazing.
But what about the eukaryotic cells in the jello? Seemed like a very big and important part of the story that they didn't elaborate on in the video. Was it just hearsay or embellishment. If not, then it must be star jelly unless it was a few number of cells, but such natural contamination would surely have been accounted for in a lab.
@@mangot589 it's often more horrifying and morally corrupt than amazing. How did you write a reply to someone mentioning MK Ultra and the Tuskegee experiment and only said "amazing"? That's really shitty.
Operation Sea Spray
@@MuscarV2 That's about as far as it goes. They don't have the capacity to make you believe the world is round when its not or extract "adrenochrome" from victims and children like the bad guy from Amnesia:The Dark Descent. Which im sure Qanon just took that idea from.
Not to be like that, as i seldomly believe in conspiracies; The US would have a lot to gain from testing a debilitating, non lethal weapon like that, esecially during that time.
Of this whole story, the thing that gets me is that grown adults were touching a mystery substance with their bare hands. As if that wasn't always a bad idea.
Remember when that radio broadcast of War of the Worlds caused a mass panic? Then remember how further investigation showed that it was far less massive than claimed.
A mothman coughed up some blobs around town, a minor illness that effects different people in different ways came through, a military helicopter flew over at one point, and then someone made up some story about a mysterious sample that went missing and apparently know one else in town thought to collect the goo too.
Bio Weapons test, they've done it many time even in the uk where I live.
Delivered via air balloon from communist any, imperial J did it in WWII
I used to go out with a local fungi recording group, and have seen a number of different kinds and colours of slime mould, some like the jelly you show on the ground in one of your pictures. Others can look like butter, or even cat sick. One time there was a whole meadow covered in big blobs of green jellly, which was a sudden bloom of the Nostoc you mentioned. Amazing how it seems to come from nowhere after heavy rain, and soon dries out and seems to vanish, but it's in the soil all the time.
As with your UFO and ghost skepticism, I would tend to dismiss the heresay evidence about what was in the vanished sample. But what I suspect is that there was heavy rain that brought down loess dessert dust which actually accumulates surprisingly fast in the west and mid west, as you can watch on Nick Zentner's geology channel. As well as covering your cars etc with dust, the downpour was made rapid use of by the soil bacteria to swell up and sporulate and then disappear again. Observers just assumed what was on the ground was the same stuff as coating everything above ground. Both the dust and the sudden release of spores could have made sensitive people ill.
I've got one of those blobs it is alive it sits on my sofa watching soap operas all day I call it mother in law
Lots of good comments on here, but this is the best 🤣✌️
Expect a phone call from the CIA to get her weaponised… she’ll need her sofa though, will it fit in a UFO?
Atmospheric chemical plumes resulting in a rain of polymerized and volatile organic compounds? To me it sounds likee a chemical leak from a peteochem processing plant. Maybe a drill-platform ship moving north up the coast there towards Alaska.
My cousin got sprayed by a US plane in Iraq with something similar, his whole group got tumors. He had 4 on his spine and now can’t walk without assistance.
except your forgetting that the sample in the lab just mysteriously disappear. this story reeks of government coverup
I like this relaxed Simon, arm over chair look.
I live here in Oakville and although I have never seen these blobs, I will say this town feels like its straight out of a Stephen King book. Between it being an old logging town, having the last bank ever robbed by stagecoach in the U.S, the missing children, the crazy amount of pet deaths and highway 12 (which runs straight through town that has been the scene of many highway deaths). It also didn’t help that our volunteer fire house still used a siren up until a year or two ago that would sound off anytime there was an emergency in town. It really made the town feel like it was trapped in some kind of 1950 time prison. But hey that’s Oakville for ya, Go Acorns! 😂
I like how Simon has covered this specific event like 50 times usually in different formats.
Me : Simon, How many channels do you have.
Simon : Yes.
It's more the amount of total videos, or the total duration time of all his vids that's unbelievable.
I found this extremely interesting. Of course there has to be a scientific explanation. Reminds me of the movie “The Blob” that consumed every living in its path.
Just saw a Documentary about these blobs, on Netflix.
And recalled this happened in my garden this year, after a rain.
Not sure if this helps someone get some answers but I analyzed why my garden looked so gelatinous and I remembered spreading some of my newly planted Roses’ pot soil. Why? Because that soil was white and gave my garden a “clean” look. The “jellybeans” were present ONLY where I’ve sprinkled this soil and no other part of the garden. I do think this is something like a plant fertilizer - which usually consists of some kind of feces and bacteria.
What's bizarre is leaving that lampshade with the seam showing instead of turning it to the back.
Also - good questioning analysis!
It's been bugging me too, only visible in certain videos, but so annoying
This topic once I first heard about it blew my mind. Just like the red rain in another part of the world near the India I think? They found that the red looks like a single cell organism and they observed them multiplying in a controlled environment in a lab and I think it was lichen spores. I'm just facinated with learning more about stuff like this. Could things and other stuff like pathogens be transferred over clouds 🌧️ raining down things that come from somewhere? Idk
There was a more recent case in China of a red light in the sky at night followed by red rain and red river the next day. Given the oppressive regime, we'll probably never find out what happened or if it had any disease causing effects on the population, unfortunately, plus China is very polluted and infectious disease ridden to begin with so no telling what problems are and are not attributable. But it's interesting none the less.
If I remember correctly the case in India turned out to be plant born spores or something that were simply highly concentrated in one area's air due to an unusual weather pattern. I could be misremembering, though. It's been a long time. But in the recent Chinese incident the red glow in the sky is something new.
Don't go messing around with something when you don't know what it is! "Oh, let's touch it!" No, let's not.
A chipped mug! And you drink from it? Dammit, Simon, you are an Englishman, from the SE to boot, not a savage!
"And the crack in the teacup opens/A lane to the land of the dead" - W. H. Auden
We get gelatinous blobs on the ground here on occasion. They are deer sperm! Apparently in the rutting season the stags have so much sperm that it literally falls out of them!
I think it unlikely that deer sperm is going to fall onto of cars, especially moving cars without the driver or passenger seeing the deer.
@@reachandler3655 I wasn't suggesting it was. I just thought it was an interesting related fact.
Oakville is in an area with mima mounds, too.
It was a sneeze from the old ones living in the north pacific.
Just imagine if the CIA applied themselves to useful things like world peace, feeding the hungry, building houses for the homeless you know good stuff like that. Imagine.
Imagine that there are people in this world who would see you dead, if not for the CIA. As shady as they are, there are those yet shadier who'd do much harm to us. Military defense is no joke, and the U.S. is lucky that it figured out how to thrive as it has for so long.
The restaurant's around the area held watching parties and what not when this happened was a weird time for sure
Possible evidence that this was a coincidence: human brains are wired to associate feeling ill or nauseous with recent experiences. A patient receiving chemotherapy for the first time will likely regurgitate their next meal. That sickness is so strong they might get nauseous smelling that same food for years.
But a lot of animals dropping dead immediately and a high rate of severe illnesses doesn't suggest that it was just a negative version of the placebo effect.
My family lived here a lot of people started getting sick after this and more than normal amount got cancer in this area
Only one person obtained one sample?
Her cat was already sick so it's probably nothing guys, no worries. Nah, I'm getting my tin foil hat and blaming the three letter agencies
I watched your video yesterday where you recommended people watch this video but I couldn't find it and was a bit confused, but you hadn't uploaded it yet so that's why I couldn't find it 😄

This is what happens when you sneeze really hard and don't cover your nose.
Woo shout-out to Bournemouth, that's near me!
we were driving through Oakville the time that happened and we didn't know what the blobs were on our car window we pulled over and didn't know what to think we looked around and washed her window off and left
I remember hearing about that! First time I've heard about it again, since.
I do wonder what kind of *edible* liquid we can evaporate into the air and which will "precipitate": Imagine a syrup rain, a chocolate rain, a soda rain, a coke rain...
good hypothesis, let's run with this, what liquid will evaporate and then precipitate, maple syrup? milk? milk by-products?
"the only known sample mysteriously disappeared", that sounds like US government and involvement!!!
This wouldn't have any affect. Even if you could evaporate a large enough quantity of any of them in a fast enough timeframe to cause rain, all you would be left with is whatever was not water in the substance getting concentrated and eventually burning, and the water boiling out. Short version, you would just make a huge mess and a lot of very average steam
I have to imagine you put chocolate rain in the list on purpose. Or I am getting too old
Irn Bru rain!

They tried cloud seeding to make it rain, what if they tried the opposite. This town was in the area that received basically half a year of rain. To much rain can be just as damaging to crop production as no rain

Very interesting!
100cm/month of rain? Maybe 100mm/month. That’d be over 3cm rain/day!
Yeah 3 cm a day sounds right. Pacific Northwest has temperate rainforest zones.
Edit: I was looking up metric (vs inches) I guess it's what he said in centimeters for the whole year. Also when people say the Seattle area it means a big area it, actually rains twice as much just a little more south of "Seattle". When we get an atmospheric river though it pretty much pours rain for a week or two at a time. 😭
