That introduction at the beginning really helps. My favourite teachers at school were always the ones who actively persuaded me that I could do what I was learning, and why, rather than leaving you staring at the stairs to climb.

Finally, someone that actually properly explains Time Signature, thank you so much for this

I love this video! Thank you for simplifying this concept, MT. I also really enjoyed the examples and counting along with you. This series is a really helpful teaching and learning resource.

Glad to see this series come back! :D it's quite helpful in how it's explained.
Had to idea Animals by Muse was in 5/4! Thanks for sharing the 5/4 song list, I thought I'd likely hadn't heard something in that time signature outside of more experimental music.
Looking forward to the next video, good luck with the channel and have a great day!

As someone who loves music but has never played an instrument, this is a great learning tool. I've always found it interesting how some musicians who are true students of music theory can co-exist with others who cannot read music at all.

Yes! That’s the cool thing about music theory - you don’t actually need to play an instrument to understand it.

@@MusicTheoriesChannel Well thank you. I myself understand it much better now. I remember seeing a video of the guys trying to explain the song "Money" from Pink Floyd which was said to be in 7/8 time. I still have trouble trying to understand that.

@@BunnEFartz great song! I’d be happy to make a short explaining how to count it if you’d like!

😒I still couldn't get it, since when the bottom number is the value of the measure, why the metronome is playing at exact as the top number value. !!! and this didn't define the measure of the bar if that is the time.. Please help>>>
