I disagree, the early 2000's Metalcore was heavily influenced by *Death metal* it was much heavier and more aggressive and more extreme This band however is more of the new kind of modern *Pop Metalcore* which is not a bad or negative thing at all in fact I really like Pop Metalcore because it takes things a little bit easer which is nice if you just want to chill a little bit and not go totally crazy all the time. It makes the music more balanced i like both eras, the original Metallic Hardcore with Death Metal influence, and now this new era of Pop Metalcore which is also very nice too Both styles complement each other and make the music overall more diverse and interesting
