Hi Alex, I recently discovered your channel and have just finished watching all the videos on this trip. Firstly, please accept my belated congratulations on the Iron Butt Challenge victory. Secondly, thank you for undertaking a seemingly impossible venture on what the world and his wife would consider a TOTALLY UNSUITABLE machine. You and SYM have proved ‘em wrong. I have 61 years of motorcycling under my belt during which time far too many bikes have passed through my hands (some might call it addiction😇) and I’ve always agreed with your view that small or big, any bike will be fun on any trip. Having recently bought a SYM Joymax 300+ I’ve inevitably become the butt of much good humoured leg-pulling from my biking buddies. This make isn’t widely known in the UK and my purchase was on a whim, resulting in my swapping an adventure bike and now that I’ve had the seat remodelled to fit my posterior, I cannot praise the ease of use highly enough. I’m also happily impressed with the apparent quality of manufacture and simplicity of maintenance. Your videos and Dani in particular have reinforced my confidence in the brand and I’m planning plenty of touring this year. Marius deserves a special mention in all this and if he has a RUclips channel, perhaps the name of it should be “Adventures with Rusty Links”🤣🤣. Please keep the cameras rolling.
Thank you, we also have a lot of people that are of a certain advanced age that thought they could no longer tour because of their age they can't handle a big bike's weight and come buy a 300cc scooter and suddenly realize you can have something small, light, easy to use but that's still comfortable on long trips and get back into touring at ages over 70. Love to see this, as long as they keep their knees in the breeze it makes me happy.
I’m about halfway through the video, I’m going to watch the rest on the big screen,😉😎 I’ve owned the HD 200, and the Fiddle three, both of them were very scooters. I’ll leave another comment when I finish watching, that way I’ll help the algorithms for your video.
Hello Alex! I just discovered your channel a few days ago, and already seen a lot of your videos. This trip you made is amazing, and a thing that you can be proud of. A scooter is a complete multitool, I say this all the time to my friends. I was 32 when I started riding a scooter with a 50 ccm for 1 year, then a 125 for 6 years, now a 300 for over a year now. I totally understand what you love about this. Your adventure is a schoolbook for me. Keep on going with a scooter, whatever life takes you through! Maximum respect for You and Donnie (hope I spelled it right). 'Ride safe!' 😉😀

Great job Alex. I have my motorcycle rental business in Peru. Have been using Sym NHT200 and now seriously thinking of adding SYM Symphony to my fleeet
It can sure go far, but the year is not over, he still has places to take me this year. Like I said in spring for 2022 I will use only the ST for every trip I have to make, and I have another 4000km trip in November to see a certain show in Italy. :))
Congrats on your finish and the iron butt challenge completion! I don't know what it is about these small displacement bikes that make long trips so much more fun to watch and much more impressive for you the rider. This is inspiration that I will do such a trip one day. Thank you.

@zzvannie they know very well, I've talked to marketing people from Taiwan both at the ADX TG launch and at EICMA. They just don't consider youtubers marketing and don't want to spend money. I did an iron, butt on my Zuma 125 last year. My top speed was 52 miles an hour. I did it in 23 hours 45 minutes. The only way it was possible is to bring an extra 3 gallon gas tank And fuel up while riding. I only ate snacks and sandwiches I brought with me. It was a beating, but I had a blast!
I recommend bringing a water bottle full of extra oil. I didn’t t check the level until 800 miles and it was on the low mark. I started out full and the bike never burns any oil with normal riding. I put a zip tie around my grip to make it run wide open nearly the whole trip so it really strained that little 8hp engine. Next month I’m doing 2200 miles in 3-4 days to pikes peak. I can’t wait

Salut, in drumul asta am plecat cu 2 hdd-uri externe de 2 TB, si datele era copiate pe ambele sa am back-up. In total am avut cam 1.2-1.3 TB de date.
Amazing trip....What was your average fuel consumption?...I have a SYM Jet14 200...same engine as yours.I am thinking of doing something similar in South Africa where I live.
As someone who never drinks coffee I can say those espresso cans were weak. Normaly an espresso is like giving me drugs, I am instantly awake and alert for 6-8 hours. I should have found a real coffee place and drink a real coffee.
After the New Year, thanks to your Sym videos, I will reserve a Sym Jet 14 200 12 hp air cooled. The price is around 3000 euros. He would mostly drive around Serbia and Romania. The Danube Ring is beautiful for riding on two wheels.
Hhaha SYM showed what is capable of.Imagine it was 300cc,you will go USA with it.I know is ocean, just funny joke like. I bought SYM Jet X,and I will not regret it!
There was no bleeding from the rear part after the trip =)))) . But in fairness it did take 48 hours of sitting sleeping and doing nothing to recover from this. I was completely worn out after it.
now this is the genuine IB, not like all these gay boys with their ADV bikes with side and top boxes full to the brim and riding anything from 1200 to 2300cc moaning if they get a bit wet.
In terms of challenging this was truly challenging both for me to ride at such an alert pace for 24 hours straight with minimal brakes and for my scooter to basically run with the throttle wide open for 24 hours. The las 300 km I had to stop every 50-60km to add oil, the engine was so hot it was drinking oil more then a 2 stroke, but somehow it survived and now it has another 20.000km on the clock and is running perfectly.

Alex how that 16 inch helpsnin term of comfort, compared to smaller ADX.
The suspension on the ADX is much better then the symphony and it makes the ADX much more comfortable for long rides.
Big inspiration. Can you travel from Greece to Germany in a zontes x310 you think?
Why not? Go for it :D
Salut, in drumul asta am plecat cu 2 hdd-uri externe de 2 TB, si datele era copiate pe ambele sa am back-up. In total am avut cam 1.2-1.3 TB de date.
Congrats on the trip 😁
Thank you :D
congratulations💪💪💪
Thank you!
Great video! Greetings from belgium
Thank you! 😁
Does the headlight illuminate the road sufficiently?
Yea, on high beam I see perfectly 100-150m ahead of me.
Amazing trip....What was your average fuel consumption?...I have a SYM Jet14 200...same engine as yours.I am thinking of doing something similar in South Africa where I live.
About 3.5-4l/100km
i did not know you were in Turkey. vavv.
Yea, I was în 2022.
If you had found a place to have a Turkish coffee, you could have done 2 iron butts!! 😅
Congratulations!!
As someone who never drinks coffee I can say those espresso cans were weak. Normaly an espresso is like giving me drugs, I am instantly awake and alert for 6-8 hours. I should have found a real coffee place and drink a real coffee.
Rip that throttle dude!!! YEAH!
Keep it pinned! :D
🍻🍻🍻🍻
How many times you fill the tank during the trip?
I had 12 fuel stops for the full 1700km distance
Is that air cooled engine?
Yes, 169cc air cooled.
Wow! Hugh quality from SYM!
After the New Year, thanks to your Sym videos, I will reserve a Sym Jet 14 200 12 hp air cooled. The price is around 3000 euros. He would mostly drive around Serbia and Romania. The Danube Ring is beautiful for riding on two wheels.

@URKE80 that's some awesome riding arround the Danube 😁
It is very amazing how much fuel it consumes in 100 km 😍😍😍
Hhaha SYM showed what is capable of.Imagine it was 300cc,you will go USA with it.I know is ocean, just funny joke like.
I bought SYM Jet X,and I will not regret it!
Going to the USA with my Symphony ST you say 🤔
Perfect... it's very encouraging for those who love scooter-motorcycles and want to travel! Also, your courage and your will are admirable 🫵👊👍💪🇬🇷👌
Thank you!
Like before see👍💪
👏🎉
Based on your ability to ride straight thru a 24 hour period, guess we can rule out hemorroids?, just kidding, great Job buddy, congrats!!
There was no bleeding from the rear part after the trip =)))) . But in fairness it did take 48 hours of sitting sleeping and doing nothing to recover from this. I was completely worn out after it.
Your crazy.😂
Thank you! :D
More like Iron Balls I would say. Felicitări!
Thank you. :)
now this is the genuine IB, not like all these gay boys with their ADV bikes with side and top boxes full to the brim and riding anything from 1200 to 2300cc moaning if they get a bit wet.
In terms of challenging this was truly challenging both for me to ride at such an alert pace for 24 hours straight with minimal brakes and for my scooter to basically run with the throttle wide open for 24 hours. The las 300 km I had to stop every 50-60km to add oil, the engine was so hot it was drinking oil more then a 2 stroke, but somehow it survived and now it has another 20.000km on the clock and is running perfectly.
how iss the but? :D
Rock hard :)))
Congratulations on iron butt. I really enjoyed the Donny and Ratty Adventure. 🛵🐀
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it, I certainly did 😁
