Tari is the sweetest SMG4 character of all time, she's calm quiet, patient, very intelligent and amazingly useful I LOVE HER! Meggy is a fantastic coach with lot's of expirence! Meggy and Tari will forever be the best SMG4 duo of all time.
I may not be a big fan of how SMG4 has been during the Meta Era (the last couple years), but one thing that remains consistent is Tari. She really IS the most underrated character imo. Probably the one I relate to the most.

Long story short, they don't maintain character development, plot points are consistently dropped, the characters have been HORRIBLY flanderized for the most part (save Bob), one of our main characters is an asshole and praised for it (SMG4), redesigns that aren't even necessary because they outright state the reason why they don't need them two minutes before creating them, and everything about Mr. Puzzles. Puzzles' writing in the series is genuinely an insult to writing itself, as he only exists as an excuse to make parodies in the show that has been doing that for years before Puzzles was even a concept. And all the while, they pat themselves on the back and act as though everything they create is the peak of content on RUclips. Some of their workers have outright said that they don't listen to criticism of the show. Others, like Medi, *do* listen, but it's a *vast* minority. Compare this to how it was up through 2021. Character development stuck. Mario was a lovable idiot rather than a selfish asshole idiot. Meggy and Mario's dynamic was one of the best and most wholesome parts of the show. Characters were *consistent.* The stories still *tried* to work with what came before. TL;DR: SMG4 fell off hard in the past couple years as it slowly became something completely different from what it was before. A show with no soul, no identity, as compared to the heartfelt moments we had before like in Meggy's Bootcamp and Final Hours.

I've talked with enough people that just say "nuh uh" and make that their only argument to know that this won't go anywhere. I have yet to see anyone provide any argument for the show as it is currently beyond "they have ideas", and even then they don't address how well said ideas are executed. I say this as someone who grew up with this show and watched the characters I loved turn into mere shadows of their former selves when I say it *can* be better. It has. The Anime Arc was the show's storytelling at it's best imo. The same person who wrote so many of the episodes I consider utterly garbage also wrote the masterpiece that is Meta Runner. If they cared, they'd do better, because they HAVE.
