I have no sympathy at all, what-so-ever for Shiela. TWICE I have had this happen to me..with my wife at the time, and a few years later after the divorce and finding 'love' once more, it happened again - They both decided that the grass was greener on the other side, that the 'other man' was the be all and end all, new fun and games, a refreshing change etc. Leaving me with debts after setting up a house meant nothing. Leaving _me_ meant nothing. I was apparently now just a source of income and 'boring'. When it all went belly up for the 2 'traitors', the men they went to wanted to move on and dropped them like hot stones for other new women! They both came running back with their tails betwen their legs, all apologetic and expecting things to just pick up from before they walked out the door. NOT A HOPE. Was a case of ''theirs yer bags...and I'll even carry them to the taxi for you''. They asked ''Can we still be friends?'' WHAT? After all yev done? The second word is OFF!! I have been on my own now for 17 years and swear to gawd I will never get involved with anyone again. I haven't dated anyone either in all that time. The only lassies I 'talk' to are the checkout girls in Tesco (their programmed conversation is the usual ''how are you, would you like a bag, do you have a clubcard, is it still raining outside'' etc), and a few female dog walkers (chat is just about the dogs and nowt else). I am truly not interested anymore. As long as I have my broken dogs, I shall happily die a single man!
Now: I _must_ say that I know not all women are the same, and I'm not tarring them all with the same brush. Yes, there_will_ be nice lassies out there, and maybe there _was_ an ideal match for me afterwards and I missed my chance. I shall never know! As Jerry Springer used to say at the end of his show: _''Look after yourselves....and each other!''_
