Hello everyone, the next oil upgrade I'm planning is Motul 300V Factory Line 4T 10w40. If anyone has any thoughts/feedback about this please feel free to comment down below. You can also suggest other options :)
I've been using Castrol Power1 Ultimate 5w40 since last year in my Honda Dio. I have got all the benefits that you mentioned in this video. Especially the consistency of this oil is something else. Engine behaves the same even after doing continous 300kms! People really have to experience this oil to understand the change. And I've ridden a 160 4v running on Motul 300v. The oil really complements the quick revving nature of RTR engines. But I don't think it's worth spending that much extra over Castrol Ultimate, because RTR200 has a relatively low compression engine. It may be worth for top end focussed bikes like KTM's or R15.
Very good video, I have a bs4 apache RTR 200 and I plan to go with castrol power 1 ultimate.... So its a very helpful video for me, thanks and keep it up!!
my bike has run only 2000km on tru 4 tvs oil and its been 1 yr since i changed engine oil should i wait for 3000 or immediately change the oil bike is rtr 160 4v b
Brother I have 2023 rtr 200 4v BS6, just a month and a half old and completed 2nd service but the thing is that I have not used the TVS engine oil instead I have used the motul 10w 40. Will it cancel my warranty?
Hey bro, it actually voids the warranty when you use after-market products within 5 years of purchase. But don't worry, you can change back to TVS Tru 4 during the next interval. Motul is a really good oil and has far better performance than TVS Tru 4, but I recommend to use the stock engine oil until you complete free services.
Hello mate i own a tvs apache rtr 200 v4 its 6 months old i am not happy with the stock oil and planning to change it to motul 7100 after an year but as the engine has 5 years and parts have 2 years of warranty will the warrenty laps if i get the oil change done
Yes, the warranty will be voided when the engine oil is changed within 5 years. Since we always upgrade to better engine oil, there won't be any problems from the engine and only the engine warranty will be lapsed not the parts. If the bike is taken care well you don't have to worry about anything. The bike performs way better when the engine oil is upgraded. It's good to upgrade after one year as you mentioned.
I have used Liqui moly street race 10w 40 on my MT15. best experience for me after using castrol power 1, Motul 300v, Yamalube 7000km is largest interval but still the performance seems stable till 6000km As well as Milage and smoothness are noticable changes I've felt.
Taking about liqui moly, I tried the 10w50 . Gear shifts weren't that good as compared to motul but it did last long than motul my friend and talking about smoothness..I felt liqui moly for a bit smoother on high revs
Bro couple of questions 1. Will that grade engine oil be compatible with 160 4v. 2. Currently I am using tvs tru 4 synthetic oil. If I change to castrol do I need to use engine oil flush prior that change. 3. Will that grade affect my engine as company recommends 10w30 grade. Thanks in advance
Hey, please find my answers below... 1. Yes, it can be used in 160 4v as well. 2. Engine flush is usually preferred when the engine has run 20k plus kms to clear/remove the sludge and deposits from the engine. For new engines which has run less than 15k or 20k, my opinion would be to avoid engine flushing. You can try draining the existing TVS oil by slanting the bike both sides and use a new one. It should be fine. 3. If the vehicle is used extensively like touring and stuff it's ok to go for 10w40 as it's more viscous and might resist the heat. If it's just city/daily commutes the stock 10w30 would be ideal.
Bro is this bike still in Warrenty ! My service cneter guy told they will void warrenty is i changed oil . Finally i decided not to consider warranty , after my free service . I own rtr 160 4v 4M edition . I have installed 200 4v slipper clutch and use motul 7100 oil
My bike is still under warranty period. Every service center dealers will say the same but there shouldn't be any problem in using a better engine oil.
Oil change cheyyanadu maathram alla servicing. Engine related endengilum issues vanna maathram it can't be claimed that's it. Nammal purath oil change cheyyanadum swayam cheyyanadum doesn't make a difference. If the bike is maintained well and serviced well (including valve adjustment every 10k kms) there won't be a situation where you will need to claim the warranty. In very rare cases you get issues with the engine for the first 5 years. Apart from oil change every other work on my bike is done from authorized dealer.

Yes it does, but for one year it's better to go with the stock oil and then changing to after market products should be fine. There won't be any such issues that might get you to claim the warranty.

Yes, but I did not notice any drastic changes. The throttle response is improved a bit that's it. I'll need to check if it has any impact on fuel efficiency. I will update if I see a difference.
Hello, below are the pros and cons I noticed while using Castrol. Pros - 1. Good fuel efficiency (42-45kmpl) 2. Engine refinement - engine is smoother compared to the stock engine oil. There is a slight decrease in the engine noise. 3. No heating issues or oil level drops 4. Slight improvement in the top end performance. Cons - 1. Gear shifts are bit hard while riding within the city limits. Long rides it's fine. Currently I'm using Motul 7100 10w40 and noticed the same improvements but Motul performs better in higher rev ranges than Castrol.
