August, it’s like you live in my BRAIN!! I used to get up at 5am before school to watch these types of shows because they were so relaxing 😭😭😭😭
Funny...b4 I knew about asmr on yt I would put these home shopping channels on in the background. Something about the monotone speech pattern. No yelling. No shouting. No interruptions. Just the gently chatter in the background. So soothing. Like getting sent to bed as a kid buy hearing all the adults chattering out in the living room. Made me feel safe and not alone even though I couldn't make out what they were saying.
i did exactly this too!! i was terrified of being alone in the dark so i would leave the door open with the hallway light on and so i could listen to the sound of the adults chattering while they watched tv- i’m so glad this wasn’t just me!
Besides hair play from childhood - this was my ASMR of my teen years. I'd come home from school, watch the doll hour on QVC, and fall asleep. It was the quiet descriptions of the doll & her clothing, it would put me out every time!
Saved this for later as right now I have a date with a kettle bell....
Me too!!! I used to watch QVC all the time, and didn't realize until later that the reason I loved it was that I was having an ASMR reaction.

I am so sorry NewAccount. My mother died in a very traumatic manner as well. Sleeping was a big issue including PTSD. I am so glad you have found a way to relax.

Losing loved is always expected at some point in life, but it's how we lose them isn't it. Hits you when you don't see it coming or how to even process it all.
Not something you ever forget but accepting its happened and finding ways through it is the only way to move forward, this channel definitely helps.

This was me as a kid! QVC and HSN were perfect channels for background noise for a good nap.

August I would literally watch these at night as a kid to help me go to sleep! It was definitely early ASMR for me. The hair products and jewelry always gave me tingles.

I’m just gonna say it, i love you too because some asmrtist that do in person asmr honestly give a weird sexual vibe, they’ll use suggesting thumbnails too and it’s just a weird thing whereas you guys always keep it pro and creative and relaxing

Absolutely loved this idea. Watching shopping channels as a child with my mum when we couldn’t get to sleep was one of my first experiences of asmr.
When I was little, i used to watch a tv channel with a lady on a shopping network selling hand creams, face creams and body lotions and fall asleep... this reminds me a lot of that! Thank you so much for creating this, it took me back many years and reminded me how much i loved that channel!
One of my earliest memories of feeling asmr is when i was younger i would watch the shopping channels to go to sleep. I still do sometimes watch their livestreams. This video almost made me cry because its so good 😭💜

I have an idea and think you would pull it off so well... a hair dye consultation. You could start by checking the condition of the hair to make sure its ok to dye, and then get some of those clip in hair peices you could clip in, brush through and talk about what colours/shades would best suit the model.

Love this! Minor critique is it looked like she kept twisting the curls on the right side of her head towards her face when they were curled away from it. But she did try to save it in the end and still a 5/5 video.
