I cracked the seat stay of my Cannondale of that vintage a few years back. I beat that bike like a rented mule for 17 years before I busted it. At best I rode it like a gravel bike, at worst like a mountain bike. There were plenty of times it went down a half flight stairs with me in the saddle. 100% tough bike.
Love Cannondales own a 2014 and 2024 supersix evos.. had a CAAD10 and 12.. would like to pick up one of the made in USA frame and forks.. quality of the smooth welds is amazing.. wow the ceramic slam really did a lovely job on this frame ❤ great vid dude and an excellent job as always 😊😊 Pete 🚴🏻👍
My second bike was a Cannondale Black Lightning. I think I traded in my Panasonic DX4000 for it when I was living in NYC in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Loved that bike, but not enough to keep it. I can't recall if I ended up trading it in or just selling it, but it figured somewhere in my next and current ride: 1991 Litespeed Ultimate. Love that titanium ride!

Looks brand new. Good restore job on that paint work.
My first non-steel crit racing bike was the Cannondale R1000 when it first came out.
Nice! Thanks for sharing.
got caad4 with rolf vector, great vids!
Awesome! Thank you for watching!
Enjoyed LeMond bike and now waiting on this one great bikes enjoying them.
I hope you get to enjoy them both. Thanks for watching and getting this beauty.
That tool reminds me of the old Schwinn aluminum pro seat post. It had a similar wedge mechanism.
I like the haircut. Sharp!

Caad12 disc. Sold it, want an alloy synapse or caad10 or 12, RIM brake bike and Ultegra shifters. Peak mechanical 😍
What used bike market places do you recommend?
I check FB marketplace, Craiglist mostly in my area. But you can check Bikelist and eBay if you don't mind something shipped to you.
She is perdy! I had a yellow one I remember it having a harsh ride and i was young soo it must have been rough!
You go fast, but there was a price. lol
What's the size of the seatpost ?
Not sure on this one since it’s no longer in the shop. But the mostly common one used is 27.2.
