Hey Allen, dental assistant here lol. We use that vibrating thing all the time in the lab... I’d suggest putting a plastic ziplock bag over the top of the machine secured with a rubberband to protect it/make it way easier to clean... also, when you mix the cement you can put the cup on the vibrating machine to make mixing easier... Hope that helps. I love your videos 💕
As a tip.. I use plaster, not cement, but I think the concept is the same... I use a slightly “runnier” consistency and I put the mold on the vibrating thing as I slowly pour the plaster in (plaster that I have previously mixed over the vibrating thing too)... so my assumption is thinner consistency, more vibrating and slower pour-in might help your bubble situation. 💕
OK so before I forget... I counted 8 drips and 2 (Almost 3) over fills haha but, these turned out so cute, I love the Sage one, almost no bubbles. When I make my Jesmonite items I use a back massager (Like a long stick) and instead of only vibrating the bottom I vibrate all round the vessel, 9 times out of 10 I have a perfect bubble free item. Thanks for sharing Allen X
OMG you made me laugh out loud Paul!!! Hilarious that you counted!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your experience-the more I use this machine, I feel less good about it for this use because I think if I leave it on there too long it actually makes more bubbles! Love and light always 💗🌱
I tapping my mixed before pouring, then pour 25:48 the 1/3 I tap the mold then pour 2/3 tap the mold again and tap again for the last pour. I have minimal problems with bubbles. I don’t use the vibrator.
Hi Allen from the French Caribbean, well i am using hot still water instead of cold and i have to say it has been working for me. it does happen i can have tiny bubbles on the bottom of my concrete jar but it's rare. voila
I think the pigments are just like the micas in soap and they get into EVERYTHING when they come in those bags. I decant my micas into wide mouth small squarish spice containers. This has made my life soooo much easier… plus it looks so pretty. I can’t wait to use up the little sample packs so I don’t have anymore little ziplocks.
Hi Allen. Happy New Year. I'm not sure if I missed it, but I'm not seeing the info in the description box. Would you mind sharing a linnk for the Direct Colors Pigments? Also, could you please share the number for the pigment you used for the "blush pink" colored pot? Was that the 122? Thanks in advance.
Hi there! Yes, that would be the color but you'll have to play around with the amount you use to get the exact shade you like. I'll try to send you a link for that color below.
@@earthglow - Thanks so much, Allen. I did some searching and found it. Do you know if the pigments work well with Hydro-Stone? I live in Barbados and none of these products are sold here so I have to import everything, so it would be very helpful if someone whjo knows can give me some feedback before I buy. It'd save me having to ship all the way here twice (once to test and again for production). Thanks in advance and wishing you a wonderful 2024.
@@MarshaABranch So, I’m just starting to test various pigments with hydrostone, including these from Direct Colors. The early results are looking good, but that’s all I can say for now :)
New Sub here Thank you for sharing this i have been searching for a new mold! Tip if you havent tried using Plaster of paris to your concrete mix give it a go ! No more then 20% to your mix but it speeds your dry time to a few hours depending on size.
Thank you so much for your comment!!! I am realizing this-I think the machine can be helpful but like you say, it only needs a very short time on there. 💗🌱
there used to be this guy on Etsy that was making the custom molds but he no longer is on there apparently. I know there's other folks doing it but none I could recommend personally right now!
Hey Allen what kind off concrete do you use as I’m looking to find one in the uk and I’m not sure as other channels be using a different one and we can’t get it here I’d appreciate any help you can give me thank you
Hey Allen. Just curious, do that lids fit those jars since they are from different companies? I have the Amazon molds and lids made by that same Etsy shop. I want to switch to the modern crafts lab molds and still use the lids. I just don’t know if it is a good fit. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Hi Livia! Thank you for your comment and a warm welcome. No. Unfortunately those lids don’t fit the Modern Craft labs in my experience. I am glad that you enjoy these videos. Love and light always 💛🌱
I think people make too much of the air bubbles. Honestly, the one you did that had a lot of them, I liked the way it looked. Almost like some kind of random pattern that looked organic to the vessel.
Hi Allen, new sub here!! I have the same molds and I don't use the vibrating thing... I just tap, use "pancake consistency" but on the runny side, and sometimes I don't get any bubbles or very few, and some little ones here and there. With time you'll be able to unmold faster and easier. I think the silicone molds have their own memory & "they" will "learn" when and how to fold! 😂Who did your custom lids??? Love them!!!!! (1st language is Spanish, just in case!) 😅
Hi Emy!! Thank you so much for your message and a warm welcome to our RUclips family. I am new to these concrete candles and really appreciate your experienced tips and tricks!! Love and light always 🌱💗

Watching you unmold the jar is hilarious because that is literally how hard it is!! Haha
I love the vessels with the bubbles!
Haha gives them character!

24:06 I’m literally lmao 😂 I did the exact same thing trying to unmold mine and I thought something was wrong with me lol glad I’m not alone!

I saw that if you use the setting too high or for too long on the vibrator, it can create more bubbles.
Thank you!!!😊💛💛💛

I'm in Canada and Earth Safe doesn't ship to up here. Do you know and sealers available in Canada??
Also wondering this!
Hi there! I do not but I’ll definitely keep my eye out. Love and light always. 💛🌱
Do you put anything on the bottom to protect the surface it is sitting on such as felt? And if so, what is the best way to adhere it to the concrete?
Hi there! You can absolutely use little plastic bumpers for this and they will stick right to the concrete.
I did not like the vibrator for mine. They seem to make more air bubbles.
A loja que você comprou os moldes envia para o Brasil ? ❤️
Hi Nina! I don’t know of a supplier in Brazil, I’m so sorry!
Leaving it on the vibrating machine can actually create more bubbles.

Hi Allen! How much concrete did u use for the jar and lid?? TIA!
These jars take about 260 grams of dry cement all and the lid I honestly could not tell you. I do not use this lid mold anymore.
Allen, How did you get the lid mold personalized??

I use CementAll but in the UK I’d probably test out Jesmonite for sure! Hope this helps.
You can find it in the Uk or any quick setting concrete. B&Q and other places have it! Very common and widely available.
@@panalakia yeah do you know what type cause there is loads does it have to be the one they do steps and etc with and thanks for replying
Hi ,where I can find your silicone mold?
Hi! Unfortunately the guy I purchased it from has closed his Etsy :( but the main molds are from Modern Craft Labs.
Where did you get the cool lid molds?
Hi there! I got them from an Etsy shop but unfortunately he is not longer in business.
