Technically they're still kids even with those ages of 20 and 22. Females generally came into adulthood from their mid twenties both mentally and physically.

I think it kind of get under the girls skin when interviewers say they’re “well trained” in media. Chloe said in an interview that they don’t even get training. Why can’t they answer these questions articulately and eloquently without claims of training?
That’s not what he meant. Back in the day celebrities and artists had media training. The lack of media training today is why you have all these headlines. For Disney movies they cannot disclose certain things. Avoiding the question suggests they have been over how to avoid it.
It’s for sure annoying, but I think it’s because of their age. Like the person above said, artists don’t get media training these days. So it’s refreshing to have younger artists know how to maneuver around certain questions when you have a lot of the young rappers who randomly get famous and don’t know how to conduct themselves in an interview.

Halle looks so demure and shy and Chloe seemed more outgoing. BUT! It is totally the opposite. Halle is outspoken too!. I love the unexpected twist to your personalities. You both are the ish! Proud of you two! it seems like saying a breath of fresh air does not do you justice but yes YOU ARE! 😘😘🎤 Stay together in music sisters you two are magic! I see and feel the love!
The twist to their personalities is really surprising when you first get into them. You would think Chloe would be the outspoken one and Halle would be the shy one but it’s the opposite. Chloe as confident of a performer as she is, is a sensitive Cancer who is an empath that can cry at the drop of a pin haha whereas Halle is an outspoken, straight no chaser Aries who speaks her mind and is unapologetic about it. They balance each other out well.

Actually Chloe , as sensitive as she is, is a more outgoing person than Halle, she’a like a big sunshine and all. Halle is a way more straightforward, savage type of person but she’s also sensitive and kind of reserved and introverted ( they sais it themselves ☺️)

Chi Non you can honestly see it in their body language and in their faces when a Beyoncé question comes up.. they’ve been out for over 5 years now and still answering questions about Beyoncé 5 years into their career. They have made a name for themselves at his point and they have proven it to us.

Cameron Ellis they really have! especially with how involved they are in the creation of their music from writing their own songs and even producing it themselves. chloe x halle are so incredibly talented with their own gifts, and i feel more people would realize that if they’d stop bringing up beyoncé all the time.

I just can't stop smiling when i look at them and hear them speak. They just embody black girl magic and are such an inspiration and the blueprint of how a young woman should be. I'm super proud of them and really hope that they stay on that path. Hollyweird has it's ways of corrupting everything.

Ebro forgot Princess Tiana . PSA: Black parents, stop over-exposing your young children to things which do not build up their self-esteem and pride in being Black. Your child does not need to watch every single Disney movie. This habit of entertaining kids with TV and movies has to go. If you do, seek out characters like Doc McStuffins, Dora the Explorer, Jasmine, Lilo, Mowgli or characters that are not people, like The Lion King, Winnie the Pooh etc. Fill your home with books with Black characters, Black art and dolls, do activities and get them educational toys and learning toys like puzzles and blocks. OVERLOVE your child. Teach them Black positive affirmations, tell them they are intelligent, praise their beautiful brown skin and hair texture. Watch your own language and think about things you need to unlearn, including wearing more natural Black hairstyles and less or not any weaves and wigs.

I agree, but I wouldn’t say it’s overexposure. My parents allowed me to consume any children’s programming, books, and games. Yet they taught me to love us with books like “I Love My Hair”, having Black artwork around the house including Kadir Nelson. My elementary school, a charter school in Brooklyn, was very cultural with many black and caribbean staff. My parents made it their business to become acquainted with successful people in our community who serve as great examples and mentors to my brother and I. We also have a lot of conversations and debates about music, fashion, and society. I also found Disney to be very diverse in the 90s-mid 2000s
I still think as a dad, he was right. Like those kids are watching Disney most of the time. They are not a lot of people of color like there was at my time with Cheetah Girls, Proud Family, Raven and such ! I felt it when he told the story about his 5 years old daughter. Of course there is other stuff to watch and different ways to expose your child, but kids sometimes watch the same programs, and the majority does not include POC. So as a black woman, who is nostalgic of the late era of Disney, I understand. His discourse was very touching and even Halle who was kinda bothered was very touched by it. It’s my side of the story. As an interviewer its important to research not only the music but the background of who you are interviewing. They clearly did not, they didn't know they grew up in ATL and they sho didn't listen to the album.

Just because you’ve encountered someone before and after they “grow up” doesn’t mean you shouldn’t treat them as women. Y’all couldn’t take 48 minutes to listen to the album?? The conversation tells it all. I mean I understand it’s good for them to get their faces out there but there’s nothing like an informed interviewer. Seems a bit lazy

The only issue with Pocahontas is that it is based on a real woman and Disney has disgraced and romanticized the real story. Yes, she was a 'princess', however animating her and glamorizing the ending is arguably not a message that should be passed along especially when referencing someone who actually lived. I do get why you mentioned Pocahontas as a woman of color though.
