Ayy, my favorite character is here! I love that everyone in the comments is a Ranpo-stan, lol. Some Ranpo facts: - President Fukuzawa is basically his dad. - Ranpo has a sweet tooth. - Lazy - Called himself God once. - Arrogant af - Looks baby but he's 26, so he's the oldest ADA member aside from the president. - Usually, a character's ability is named after their real-life counterpart's literary works. But Ranpo's ability isn't named after one of his books because he has no real ability. It was just a name Asagiri made up. - The real Edogawa Ranpo (Taro Hirai) named himself after Edgar Allan Poe because he admired the American's horror/mystery works. Ranpo's name is basically the Japanese pronunciation.
What?? Fr he's the son of Fukuzawa? I read the manga but i never thought they are father and son? Where did you get the information? Cuz ranpo always called fukuzawa "president"
@@danisyaputri5275 They're not literally related, but they're as close as father & son. In the Untold Origins of the Armed Detective Agency light novel, Asagiri describes Fukuzawa's journey with Ranpo as one of parenting. Ranpo was the first to join the agency & his recruitment felt more like an adoption. Ranpo's parents weren't alive to take care of him & he followed Fukuzawa like a lost dog until Fukuzawa decided to watch over him. Fukuzawa grows close to Ranpo & becomes protective over him despite the pain in the ass that Ranpo is. Ranpo feels safe & understood around Fukuzawa. Fukuzawa & Ranpo offer each other emotional support when the other is struggling. It's very much a father & son relationship, & it's why Ranpo was the most beaten down in the Masked Assasin episode. If Fukuzawa weren't as formal, I'm sure Ranpo wouldn't have a problem with calling him his dad.
My favourite character right here. He is so cute (and badass). Can't wait for his own arc to be animated, let's all wait haha. I just can't stop thinking about his "YEY!" and "Bye, bye~" from BSD WAN. Kamiya-san is just such a legend 😊
Ranpo is finally here!! I love how the show had given us a lot of the clues before the culprit's reveal too. Since we will always be in haikyu brainrot, Sugimoto's voiced by Hinata's seiyuu and Ranpo is voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya, from some roles here and there like Takeda Sensei or Levi or Saiki K. Also, I have read a lot of people have come to the assumption based on his behaviour here and throughout the manga, that Ranpo might be autistic coded. His needing help with some of the day to day activities like buying tickets might have some of the effects. I could be wrong...
Yeah, he is very much autistic coded, there are many clues throughout the anime/manga!! And you can even see it too in the light novel of "The untold origins of the detective agency", when Ranpo and Fukuzawa first met.
bsd IS a show with actual plot. You'll really be able to ge to see later on. that even tho some eps Kinda seem to be stand alone (mostly to introduce and emphasize on the development of other characters), it's really leading up to something bigger. Huhuhu still so happy just with he fact that someone react to bsd, it's such a bliss 😭💙
I love your reaction❤️ it's not just "reaction" where some people just saying "wow" or shock or just watching it, but you gave a lot of explanation based on your pov and impression on the anime 🥺😊
The show as a whole does have an overarching plot, season 1 is mostly serialised introductions to the characters with a more detailed overall plot in seasons 2 and 3!
Actually it does not take a genius to solve this case you just need to approach it like your life depends on it. I figured the sergeant was the killer and figured the body was fresh(obviously) but aside from that they beat me at everything in this case.
I really like Ranpo in this episode, but down the line he's unfortunately treated not as Sherlock Holmes, but as a prophet, which takes away from his character
@@ericjoel5363 Yeah, the anime adaptation is pretty terrible. I quite like the games, so I was looking forward to the anime but It's just, bland and plain boring. There's far better stuff to watch out there.
Ranpo's character is one of my faves. I actually love that he's not gifted. It adds so much depth to his character.
Same I really love his personality 💯✨
it's more of like he has a honed talent, which anyone can also get(with immense practice.) as we can see with Dazai having half of it.
@@akinela1214 nah he was borned with it
and it's been confirmed by the 4th season of the anime but it was confirmed on his origin story novels as well

I read the manga and I didn't see anything that talks about that... or I missed it, I am going to re-read again 🤣

Season 1 is literally just introducing all the characters per episodes. Hehehe. Season 2 is the bomb. 😄😄

figuring out the crime while merely standing in silence
sounds like something sherlock holmes hates
and what mycroft would like.
Fun Fact: Dazai's VA is the same as Light Yagami's VA
Ranpo is very much Sherlock Holmes. Reminds me of the BBC series. I'd love to know if he has the Mind Palace and everything else.
Ah yes, my favourite character.
If you want to know more about Ranpo and Fukuzawa’s backstory you should read the light novel The untold origins of the detective agency
Ranpo is my favourite character of this anime (along with Chuuya)
Ranpo is hilarious. Also, yes, we'll see pretty much everyone. You're gonna love this
I always look forward to BSD reactions! And my favorite boy Rampo is finally here!
Ranpo is truly such a fascinating character

ah yes Rampo! the snack lover i kin..
Hey man, recently stumbled across your channel, subbed. I really like your style and reactions. Keep up the good content chief
Ranpo is almost smart as Patrick Jane of the show "The Mentalist".
The show as a whole does have an overarching plot, season 1 is mostly serialised introductions to the characters with a more detailed overall plot in seasons 2 and 3!

I believe in ranpo supremacy 🛐
Was waiting for this
Ranpo only wants to do what he wants do.
Amazing episode
I haven't been this early in a while ngl
Ranpo is a legend, but there are some more baddas chars on this show.
I really like Ranpo in this episode, but down the line he's unfortunately treated not as Sherlock Holmes, but as a prophet, which takes away from his character
My favorite characterrrr
I Rampo sm
Oh yeah the reason why ranpo can't take the train but can solve complex cases is cuz he has autism
Ranpo is GOAT
Dazai is so cool.

Eh ive heard not many good things from the show and anyone who ive talked to about it says the butchered the anime and that the game was eons better
