I agree. This album and the previous one had the best beats I ever heard. I love that they had a lot of violins and classical instruments.
I think real musicians, composers and such would appreciate these beats

That chorus really digs under your skin in an eerie and haunting way. If you ask me, this is one of the greatest produced Hip Hop songs of all time. Not to mention that this belongs in the top 25 best albums of any person who considers themselves a Hip Hop head. The production, themes, lyricism, features, and even all the way down to that iconic cover are all just perfect. It's unimaginable to ask for a better Stoupe produced album.

THOSE are the correct lyrics, not the misheard, retarded shit transcribed on lyrics sites by dudes who can't comprehend a metaphor. Also note that it's "VESPERS" in the fifth bar, not "vestments." Vespers are the sunset prayers of Abrahamic religions, the "evensong." Juju is a reference to shamanism and the spells of witch doctors originating in West Africa, thus the "old soul magic" he rhymes about. And "African pajamas" is a reference to dashiki, traditional African dress. Like similar artists (Killah Priest, Lost Children of Babylon), there's a theme here that all religions worship the same God, and each religion is just a different path to the divine.

You'll have the roach smoked down to the sole of your Timbs
Now I'm, holding your gems, you're holding for dear life
Any motherfucker holding the heat can have ice
You're just like a bitch with no top on
At the Houston five, you lay down to get shot on
Double check, you're dead, plugged twice in your mug
I'm high off the weed, drunk off the cop's blood

    "In the company of....fear"
    "Above all, there was fear
Fear of today, fear of tomorrow
