This game gives away so much free Koen and gear every weeek, that you couldnt care more about microstrasactions. Just from the weekly quests you get like 10 dollars worth of Koen. And you can buy the best shit with that Koen.
the (current) monetization is not even that bad. sure you can whale and buy out everything but its still dependent on your skill, if you suck your thermal/t6 armor wont save/carry you.
I strongly disagree with your take. At the end of the day it's always dependent on your skill. I personally know no game with P2W where you get an instant "woo! you''ve won!" screen after swiping your card. It's always a gradual thing. So, I'm sorry, but if this here isn't P2W then P2W basically doesn't exist at all. It's a slippery slope, we shouldn't give the developers of such games any leeway here. You give them one finger they'll eventually take your whole hand one day.
@@Lenariet yes but actually no. you can deal with p2w players with either leg meta or using the relatively cheap mosin rat kit. you also dont really meet t6 players on normals only in high roller matches in which you also kinda required to have high tier gear. so in my eyes with all the ways you can easily deal with credit card warriors i dont think its a "very bad p2w" game like fry tells me. it has p2w ofc but feels more like p2skip.

Just because you have a lot of money in the game, has no bearing on people can pay to get the best items. If a game has a system in place to where a person can pay real money to buy the best items in the game, that's the definition of P2W.
@BlackFire69 buying currency in this game isn't pay to win. It's more like paying to gamble, cuz there's no assurance you will win even if you pay for in game currency, and besides that, they even give away 500k in game currency per week via missions.. there's no point buying it
Despite people hating on the free 1x2 container, the most expensive item in the game is a 1x2 item, its worth 19 million. All other red items are 2x2 or 3x2, but golds are mostly 1x2 or 1x1 and are worth 70k aside from a few 2x2 and 3x2 ones that are far rarer to find
It's actually really fun, just got my 300th raid and I got like 5 mil and dont ever really run in to pay to win people ( massive decked out insane ) those people only really chill on forbidden or lockdown, normal gives good gear and it's fun, along with crazy pvp fights. I actually don't have any issues with pay2win as of now
i think you should really put some play time in arena, the game is very good except some big balancing issues. But i can assure you that this game is so generous that the currency buying feels more of a "support the devs" thing than p2w. They are greedy for sure with all of these monthly subscriptions but i can't see paying giving any advantage at all in combat, especially when everybody runs cheap broken one shot guns and ammos

I find the case system and payment features in Arena to be quite fair. For example, 10 million koen, which can be quickly earned or lost without spending real money, costs £77-a hefty price for its value. The highest-tier case is £7.50 for 30 days of use and offers a 2x4 slot area. Additionally, players can no longer add their own supplies, such as thermals, to the case while in raid. While I currently see no pay-to-win aspects, I’m cautious about how things may evolve in the first season. On a positive note, the anti-cheat system (ACE) seems to be robust, as it’s a rebranded version of Vanguard and is among the best available today. As of now I’ve only encountered 1 enemy I’ve thought to be cheating, I’ve also noticed that a lot of other people that have claimed to be killed by cheaters have a major skill issue. And lastly, this game is free, they need to gain at least some income to keep improving the game.

I dont mind having a subscription / premium in the game, even having paid cosmetics and weapon charms. But being able to buy ingame money in a game like this? It ruins the economy :/ Its a good game, but it could be amazing by just removing the aggressive PTW mechanic.

From some one who comes from early access games since arma 2 dayz mod this is the first games in about 10 years that is early access and runs well has so much content for the free player no long ass grind to just be on par with other players this game is awesome an gets alot of stick from its community its a free game so anyone can try and runs so well compared to most early access titles and the devs answer question when u get grips of the game u will laugh at the store and see how easy it is to make that koen most people on comments are weebs and dont even play the game also this is the companys first ever pc game so they deserve some praise

Most shifty i feels my self when i gear up million dollars worth gear in forbidden & i automatically go into solo and died by a squad. But duo will be a good option, not Dedicated solo mode. Because in my first or second game us 4 random people total operator count was 9. So think 13-15 🤔 people in a farm (only in valley and be good for solo mode). And some snakes are on the extraction zone and you are finished 🙆. Or where will all the player Spawn in farm bc spawn point always in the opposite end. 😅. Everyones spawn will be 50-100meter apart.. it won't be fun in a few game. It will be chaotic. Got to be honest with you, ABI is tip toeing in the grey area. Gamers arent outraged. The issue is that other people will see this and then in the future, other extraction shooters will monetize the same way or push it further. Players have to either avoid the monetization or avoid the game. I am amazed at how Delta Force is handling the monetization and containers and everything like that. You are given the 1x2 for free, and through the free battlepass you can unlock 1 and 2 day passes for the 2x2 up until lvl 35 where you get it permanently. The only drawback to that is the battlepass can only progress 15 levels per week unless you pay for rank skips. Oh well. Then there is a 2x3 that you can only get if you buy the season pass or bundle, honestly not sure what to call it, its all in chinese lol. But then the 3x3 you can get access to only after progressing through a long line of seasonal tasks, which i assume resets with every season. The tasks arent that bad, i made the mistake of focusing on the branching side quests instead hammering down on the main line, so i dont have as much progress as i should. The quests are annoying, but not even close to impossible. Fair and challenging, but you won't be getting the 3x3 if you aren't a PvPer.

This game lacks loot and the scavs are useless to rack up some koens. T7s are overpowered if you're a steady player, you can destroy complete lobbies with it. There is a limited items system that has the worst barters ever, I don't really understand what's the purpose of it. The only way to make some loot is to fight all the time.
Monetization no monetization...the game is a blast and in FUN factor of just jumping in for few games after work with friends this stomps Tarkov all day long... you spend 3 times less time fucking around the menus, building guns and WAITING for matchmaking than in Tarkov...yah the subscription for cases is fucked up...hopefully they will come up with some better ways to do it but on the other hand they have to live out of something...the game is free and not 250 euro 😁...just give me the option to rent the case for 4.99 for 3 months if i want to but NO subscriptions...but also the economy is kinda ok i loose a lot of gear but my KOEN is still going up...doing some bottom of the barrel gear runs i bring back from scav runs so i dont feel like i really need the container anw
The whole Pay to win thing is funny to me. The only ones who complain or make a big deal about it aren’t even people who play the game. The only people who benefit from it are the people who are not good at the game. It’s a handicap for ones who can’t play the game well enough to obtain better gear themselves.
I'm telling you, you don't need to spend money on the game just play it. Also 1x2 secure container should be free or atleast be bought through in-game currency.
Adding cosmetic customization options is not really "getting out of hand". What's out of hand is already there but at least the advantages are negligible if you know what you're doing.
The monetization is good, nobody is buying Koens and everyone wins if you have skill. You can't have a free to play game without monetization especially one this big. And don't start with "paid cosmetics" since you would say that's pay 2 win too because of camos.
I'm gonna say this, you need to do something about the blatant cheating. Anti Cheat needs to step it up hard bc right now it's not worth my time to transition. It's not a bad game, but Tarkov does it better depth wise and aesthetic wise. UE makes everything look like molded plastic.

My question is whether Arena Breakout is worth it or not? Like is it Pay2Win or is it just pay 2 progress quicker? And can I do duo's with a friend or not? Basically, I'm just curious as to whether I should invest my time into this game or not. Thanks!
I played ABI for a while when it got released, had decent fun, but ultimately dropped it. Apart from the monetization the game just feels kind of... soulless? In comparison Tarkov, despite all of its issues, nails the immersion perfectly imho. It's gritty and atmospheric. I feel like ABI tries to go for the same kind of vibe, but falls short. The maps just look too clean. Still, I might jump back for a few raids once the S1 update drops just to see if it'll change my opinion. Just hope it won't happen near STALKER 2 release, because this is the game I'm going to devote most of my time.

This was their solution before adding it permanent to the game with season 1. until season 1 you will get the 6d container every 6d. You know reacting to player feedback fast.
Besides P2W, the game is repetitive and boring af, you spawn on the one side of the map and you have to go to the other side of it nearly ALWAYS (except you have 3 dogtags/toolbox/NO backback equiped or 15k koens) only to be killed on the way to the same extract point by cheater/s or squad of 4 full decked players, because there is no TRUE SOLO or high gear value limit in NORMAL (New players here) and lockdown gamemode
This game is great as far as being a simple extraction shooter.. the only thing that puts me off is prices being way to high. Either add more loot or lower them and I think it will be balanced. No way me and all my friends bearly have a mil or two and we play regularly.
They have been but also hardware banning cheaters doesn't do anything. They have spoofer hardware and software to install on their PCs to bypass these bans. Its the same thing with Phone verifications. They have spoof Sim Cards to bypass that as well. There's talk of ai level anti-cheat but that doesnt fix anything because cheater dev teams will just develop ai to combat ai anti-cheat. Now we have ai warfare between cybersecurity systems and cheat software. Cheating will never be mitigated and the pvp fps genre is dead imo.
I actually liked the game in the beta. I'm not a fan of extraction shooters but this one felt like one I can get into. But then I noticed that there isn't a good method of getting koen back if you lose a few rounds and buy expensive gear and then I felt like they were gonna make it more pay to win. And that's what happend. Not interested to play it anymore because of it but I do want to be updated on the latest to see if they come up with a better system since I do like the game.
You must understand that if ANY chinese dev is making ANY multiplayer gamer- IT. WILL. BE. P2W. They can't help theirself. Their origins are mobile games and they use exact same model in pc games. If your chinese game doesn't have any p2w - it doesn't have it YET.
for some reason paying 10$ for a safe pouch in this game makes it fully p2w but paying 300$ in another one, that doesnt offer you a free option, and adds 4x times bigger stash is not p2w. ahhh bsg suckertubers everywhere
The only thing that keeps me away from this game, compared to EFT, is that players can buy currency with real money which is P2W. The fact that I have to grind and pay with real time compared to someone who just spends some money just turns me off. Being able to buy currency with real money shouldn't be in the game. Arena could be a fantastic game, if they'd remove that one option to buy currency.
the audience is way too big and doesnt care about paying for koens for them to remove it unfortunately. though i do think the game is pretty dead with the western crowd. when you check low ping matches you get a lot of bot lobbies.

However if you're looking to play a game long term ....for year years to come I should say it would be less expensive to play the $250 for EFT. getting rid of cheaters is impossible. Even with phone verification and all that, unless they add an ID verification, cheaters would always run rampant.
PS. you will say that's skill issue, that's half true, even players with mosin with t6 ammo can camp and kill fully geared player BUT you have to earn it by getting killed sometimes to earn it, not just swipping the credit card. By doing so you have advantage of not being killed while trying to EARN

Gotta be honest, I am having a lot of fun on Arena and these updates are cool a.f., but yeah, not a fun of the monetization. I've tried it, like 5 bucks, to see just HOW much you can break the game if you shop, and man you can break it A LOT... I don't think they are gonna change the route, so we will have to deal with it, but it's a shame.. they could have gone all the way down with monetization for skins, cosmetics and tons of other things and not the money.. but they choose the most provitable one of course, but it's just sad.
This game currently faces significant issues with hacking, which has persisted over time. I firmly believe that the presence of hackers detracts from the overall experience. It's unfortunate, as the game itself has great potential. If developers were to implement a mode featuring only AI opponents, I am confident it would attract a larger player base compared to the current setup.

Reported Like 18 people which i thought where cheating.14 Got banned so there are some but i think ist great that they Deal with it pretty quickly.

I dont mind having a subscription / premium in the game, even having paid cosmetics and weapon charms.

Buying ingame currency is no issue. Having no Save container was an issue but that was fixed After they got all the feedback

From some one who comes from early access games since arma 2 dayz mod this is the first games in about 10 years that is early access and runs well has so much content for the free player no long ass grind to just be on par with other players this game is awesome an gets alot of stick from its community its a free game so anyone can try and runs so well compared to most early access titles and the devs answer question

Because in my first or second game us 4 random people total operator count was 9.
So think 13-15 🤔 people in a farm (only in valley and be good for solo mode). And some snakes are on the extraction zone and you are finished 🙆. Or where will all the player Spawn in farm bc spawn point always in the opposite end. 😅.
Everyones spawn will be 50-100meter apart.. it won't be fun in a few game. It will be chaotic.

Do you understand bc of going solo I'm loosing interest in this game. For a such horrofying shooting game solo is more scary. Mr.X wasn't even that scary after 2nd or 3nd run of RE2R. But hearing gunshots near you while forceful go into solo is scary as flip everytime. 😅 I even got headshoot by a bot in lockdown mode.i played more than 50+ hours in past 3-4 week.

The game is incredible. The perfect evolution of Tarkov with all the QoL updates we need and more streamlined looting experience. Love this game.
I like how the bankruptcy protection and the limits on what you can put in your secure container are all things from tarkov as well
Got to be honest with you, ABI is tip toeing in the grey area. Gamers arent outraged. The issue is that other people will see this and then in the future, other extraction shooters will monetize the same way or push it further. Players have to either avoid the monetization or avoid the game.
I am amazed at how Delta Force is handling the monetization and containers and everything like that. You are given the 1x2 for free, and through the free battlepass you can unlock 1 and 2 day passes for the 2x2 up until lvl 35 where you get it permanently. The only drawback to that is the battlepass can only progress 15 levels per week unless you pay for rank skips. Oh well. Then there is a 2x3 that you can only get if you buy the season pass or bundle, honestly not sure what to call it, its all in chinese lol. But then the 3x3 you can get access to only after progressing through a long line of seasonal tasks, which i assume resets with every season. The tasks arent that bad, i made the mistake of focusing on the branching side quests instead hammering down on the main line, so i dont have as much progress as i should. The quests are annoying, but not even close to impossible. Fair and challenging, but you won't be getting the 3x3 if you aren't a PvPer.
This game is not pay to win. It’s pay for convenience. There’s thousands of millionaires that are completely free to play. The devs made an amazing game. I’m hoping they make a boat load of money.

Buying money is not pay to win. It just means they can have fun playing with good gear. Someone who has not paid can still come in with the same gear.

I dont think people truly understand how important secure containers are and how much of an advantage you gain by having bigger slots.
This game lacks loot and the scavs are useless to rack up some koens. T7s are overpowered if you're a steady player, you can destroy complete lobbies with it. There is a limited items system that has the worst barters ever, I don't really understand what's the purpose of it. The only way to make some loot is to fight all the time.

Monetization no monetization...the game is a blast and in FUN factor of just jumping in for few games after work with friends this stomps Tarkov all day long... you spend 3 times less time fucking around the menus, building guns and WAITING for matchmaking than in Tarkov...yah the subscription for cases is fucked up...hopefully they will come up with some better ways to do it but on the other hand they have to live out of something...the game is free and not 250 euro 😁...just give me the option to rent the case for 4.99 for 3 months if i want to but NO subscriptions...but also the economy is kinda ok i loose a lot of gear but my KOEN is still going up...doing some bottom of the barrel gear runs i bring back from scav runs so i dont feel like i really need the container anw
The whole Pay to win thing is funny to me. The only ones who complain or make a big deal about it aren’t even people who play the game. The only people who benefit from it are the people who are not good at the game. It’s a handicap for ones who can’t play the game well enough to obtain better gear themselves.

I started playing a few days ago and I'm diggin it. I like Tarkov and Delta forces extraction too but ABI is good.
Adding cosmetic customization options is not really "getting out of hand". What's out of hand is already there but at least the advantages are negligible if you know what you're doing.
The monetization is good, nobody is buying Koens and everyone wins if you have skill. You can't have a free to play game without monetization especially one this big. And don't start with "paid cosmetics" since you would say that's pay 2 win too because of camos.
Why is it that PC players complain about everything while mobile players take what they have and still enjoy the damn thing.
I'm gonna say this, you need to do something about the blatant cheating. Anti Cheat needs to step it up hard bc right now it's not worth my time to transition. It's not a bad game, but Tarkov does it better depth wise and aesthetic wise. UE makes everything look like molded plastic.
I think their bankruptcy feature is free or low priced loadout tickets like Deltaforce has.
Hey guys and @BigfryTV. The only extraction game I have played is Dark and Darker. Ive been wanting to try Tarkov but I heard it might be a little too late AND it's full of cheaters. My question is whether Arena Breakout is worth it or not? Like is it Pay2Win or is it just pay 2 progress quicker? And can I do duo's with a friend or not?
Basically, I'm just curious as to whether I should invest my time into this game or not.

The game is great. You can play solo or 1-3 friends/randoms. It’s not p2w.
I played ABI for a while when it got released, had decent fun, but ultimately dropped it. Apart from the monetization the game just feels kind of... soulless? In comparison Tarkov, despite all of its issues, nails the immersion perfectly imho. It's gritty and atmospheric. I feel like ABI tries to go for the same kind of vibe, but falls short. The maps just look too clean. Still, I might jump back for a few raids once the S1 update drops just to see if it'll change my opinion. Just hope it won't happen near STALKER 2 release, because this is the game I'm going to devote most of my time.
My biggest issue with ABI is that its absolutely cheeks solo.
Tarkov is still the only extraction shooter that really does solo play well.
Just wait until they bring Hecate into Infinite.

My 1x2 container I just claimed has a 6d timer on it. Not sure if they changed it, but it doesn't look permanent to me.
This was their solution before adding it permanent to the game with season 1. until season 1 you will get the 6d container every 6d. You know reacting to player feedback fast.

Besides P2W, the game is repetitive and boring af, you spawn on the one side of the map and you have to go to the other side of it nearly ALWAYS (except you have 3 dogtags/toolbox/NO backback equiped or 15k koens) only to be killed on the way to the same extract point by cheater/s or squad of 4 full decked players, because there is no TRUE SOLO or high gear value limit in NORMAL (New players here) and lockdown gamemode
This game is great as far as being a simple extraction shooter.. the only thing that puts me off is prices being way to high. Either add more loot or lower them and I think it will be balanced. No way me and all my friends bearly have a mil or two and we play regularly.

they should start hardware banning cheaters.
They have been but also hardware banning cheaters doesn't do anything. They have spoofer hardware and software to install on their PCs to bypass these bans. Its the same thing with Phone verifications. They have spoof Sim Cards to bypass that as well. There's talk of ai level anti-cheat but that doesnt fix anything because cheater dev teams will just develop ai to combat ai anti-cheat. Now we have ai warfare between cybersecurity systems and cheat software. Cheating will never be mitigated and the pvp fps genre is dead imo.

I actually liked the game in the beta. I'm not a fan of extraction shooters but this one felt like one I can get into.
But then I noticed that there isn't a good method of getting koen back if you lose a few rounds and buy expensive gear and then I felt like they were gonna make it more pay to win.
And that's what happend. Not interested to play it anymore because of it but I do want to be updated on the latest to see if they come up with a better system since I do like the game.
That's what people would call 'risk management'. I don't PVP that much and most of my kills are headshots. AND I still in the game with 38mil.

You must understand that if ANY chinese dev is making ANY multiplayer gamer- IT. WILL. BE. P2W. They can't help theirself. Their origins are mobile games and they use exact same model in pc games. If your chinese game doesn't have any p2w - it doesn't have it YET.
Their monetization strategy killed the game for me tbh, so my friends and I didn't even bother to play it after its release.
They sell melee weapon with extra damage...
That's for the mobile I believe. For the PC version, they said knife skins would only be pure cosmetic.
In mobile version, sure it might offer better damage but they increase the swing speed and the stamina is reduced more as well. It all balances out

The only thing that keeps me away from this game, compared to EFT, is that players can buy currency with real money which is P2W. The fact that I have to grind and pay with real time compared to someone who just spends some money just turns me off. Being able to buy currency with real money shouldn't be in the game. Arena could be a fantastic game, if they'd remove that one option to buy currency.
the audience is way too big and doesnt care about paying for koens for them to remove it unfortunately. though i do think the game is pretty dead with the western crowd. when you check low ping matches you get a lot of bot lobbies.

However if you're looking to play a game long term ....for year years to come I should say it would be less expensive to play the $250 for EFT. I disagree that you can't get rid of cheaters or at least keep the population of cheaters very low. But they have to put the effort in which cost money is the real reason they just give you lip service.

Gotta be honest, I am having a lot of fun on Arena and these updates are cool a.f., but yeah, not a fun of the monetization. I've tried it, like 5 bucks, to see just HOW much you can break the game if you shop, and man you can break it A LOT... I don't think they are gonna change the route, so we will have to deal with it, but it's a shame.. they could have gone all the way down with monetization for skins, cosmetics and tons of other things and not the money.. but they choose the most provitable one of course, but it's just sad.
