Bitonto is a small town of just over 50,000 inhabitants, located in the province of Bari, Puglia, Italy. Its historic centre is one of the jewels of the province, as are the neighbouring towns of Bitetto, Palo del Colle and Modugno. Like the latter, Bitonto has a long history, with Greek and Roman origins. As a town and episcopal see, it has an important historical heritage and its historical centre is one of the places to visit in the area.

I come from a small rural town in America…. Oldest thing we had was from the 1700’s…. Europe is just so amazing with the history… these structures have been there for centuries and are massive … quite overwhelming
