Yeah, I searched for this video because the notes from my teacher are a total mess - she makes very sloppy explanations of things, skips steps, forgets to clearly point out what some variables are supposed to represent etc, which makes everything extremely tiresome to read. This video was much more to the point.
I have watched this video 2 years ago and cleared my lab viva. And now on 29/7/2020, again seeing this. Everything is being explain in well manner. Thanks u for this video.
Just been reading about the disappearance of the ship Waratah, where a witness stated that he thought the metacentre was below the centre of gravity. This explains it nicely. Thank you.
video conveys illustrations or animations plus coherent english. lecturers standing in front of the whiteboard with whiteboard markers are unable to do just that.
This is a most splendid video, explaining lucidly, about the metacentre. Couldn't really get much after reading about it from my book. This video clarified very well.
today in class our Sir explain metacenter showing us this video and it was just awesome explanation... and now i found this video here... thank you sir credit goes to you...

I understood very well from my classes in the Maritime University here in Romania all this GM idea but I had to do some digging to better understand because teachers just waitted for quick finishing the class and they didn't care if we know something or not. This video is very helpfull and I thank you for this! I am Third Mate on container ships.

You do not need a liquid to observe buoyancy. What about helium, warm air etc rising. I realise that density plays a part. What is the connection between buoyancy, density and gravity?
This is the power of 'Animated' tutorial. I didn't understood this topic in 4 hour of class, but understood by this 4 minute video.
