I hear what u are saying about having a WR like Hill on the roster. But all that speed doesn't mean jack if you don't have the arm strength and accuracy to get it out there. Prime example is how much more dynamic Hill has been with Mahomes as opposed to Alex Smith. Plus, i believe what makes Mahomes special is all the things he does before the ball ever leaves his hand.
Patrick Mahomes holds the NCAA record for most yards in a single game. In 2016 he threw for over 700 yards and ran for another 85 against Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma in a loss. He was the only thing Texas Tech had. No weapons, no defense.
It’s crazy to think that he could technically retire right now and have the accolades to make the HOF. He wouldn’t make it because he hasn’t been in the league long enough, but still. He has an MVP, a SB ring, a SB MVP, already over 100 TDs, a 1st team all pro, a 2nd team all pro, and over 10,000 yards passing already. He's a complete QB. He can run, he is poised and he is accurate from all ranges. His throwing mechanics are sick and most teams have trouble adapting to it. He did from the beginning what Russell Wilson, Cam Newton and Lamar Jackson had/have to adapt to. He can control things from the pocket and is always a threat to take off on foot and get some yardage. Being pressured just makes him better. He is an elite level once or twice in a generation talent at QB. I am not a K.C. fan, but respect just be paid and talent acknowledged always.
Someone once summed it up perfectly (exactly how I saw it) Jackson is a runner who can throw the ball. I'd rather have a QB who can throw the ball and run when he needs to. Mahomes was drafted while the Chiefs had one of the highest paid QBs in Alex Smith. His first rookie year, Mahomes was learning from Alex Smith and credits him with much of his success now. It's one thing to come into a league and play defense or offensive tackle. It's another thing to do it as a rookie QB, a job that takes more discipline and essentially is the center of the entire team. Don't mistake his only playing the final game in his rookie year as his not being good enough. BTW, it might be time for you to revisit this as Mahomes now has 2 SB rings and there are a lot better highlights. His 5 years as a starter has matured him to a whole new level. He's calm, focused and can literally make plays out of nothing. There is no one - NO ONE - who can do what he does. You have to look at the types of throws he makes, the fact that he throws to a dozen guys, not just the stars, that he can pretty much wriggle out of any tight spot, that he can not only find a guy to throw to but can figure out where he needs to throw it if that guy runs this way at that speed.... Also, you do understand that Belichick and Brady did a whole lot of cheating, right? And the Chiefs had that game won if not for Dee Ford having a finger across the line at the snap.
What’s crazy is this is just his 1st season playing. The next one ends in a Super Bowl win & the 3rd one...Well, he’s in the Super Bowl again & we can hope! Edit: You can watch Patrick Mahomes vs Tom Brady in the Super Bowl Sun, Feb 7th

Lamar is really good it’s just in my opinion the ravens have to get more creative with using Jackson because after his first year every team knew how to contain his run game but with mahomes he just does so much that it’s hard to understand his game especially with a Coach like Andy Reid.
You saw rodgers, then look at favre or the packers team, like devante adams, robert tonyan, alan lazard, or the running backs. Their defense is fire too with darnell savage
Lamar Jackson is a better runner Mahomes is a better passer But Jackson got stopped by the Texans because he struggled to throw the ball and the Texans stopped him from running
Comparing the two isn’t really much of a comparison they aren’t really in the same universe. Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL while Jackson is in the 6-9 range. Mahomes is a super bowl mvp while Lamar has never won a playoff. They have played each other 3 times and Mahomes is 3-0 while Lamar is 0-3. They played this year and the game wasn’t even close. Lamar is good at what he does for his team but Mahomes is much better and It really isn’t really that close.
That is true, but at the same time, minus Mahomes and Lamar, the chiefs are a better team and have the better coach as well. So I can’t compare them individually off that. All I can say is that Mahomes and Lamar can’t do what the other does.
Mahomes has the better arm and football IQ which goes a long way. I can genuinely see him obtaining the same level of football IQ as Brady (the reason Brady was so good) at some point in his career and Mahomes has a much better arm than Brady. Jackson is fantastic and most certainly one of the top 3 overall athletes in the NFL, but if you want my opinion, Mahomes is the best overall QB in the league right now.
As a ravens fan it’s mahomes
Same. Imma ravens fan n i say mahomes.
Jackson is great, but his arm is nowhere near Mahomes'. Marino meets Favre meets Montana - that's Mahomes.

His accuracy is on a completely different level than Jackson. It isn't even a question on whether Mahomes is better, it is just a fact.
