He had some modicum of success with SF2 because it was a much simpler game than modern fighters and had a lot of cheese strats you could abuse (which Phil did if you watch vids from his FGC days)

So, every single controller and joystick has never worked properly because only during fighting games and souls-like games they drop his inputs, they dont drop inputs for any other game, every opponent hes ever faced has lag but it only affects him, he gets completely outplayed by every opponent which is clearly visible on camera yet no because phil throws every excuse in the book thinking it makes him sound like he knows what hes talking about. 🤦♂️🤣🤣🤣

He has master rank because of the new sf6 rank system, not because he is a skilled player. He can never reach master rank in sf4 or sf5. No real sf players think master rank means something huge in sf6, but DSP. 😂

Someday DSP will admit he's, at best, merely average in SF. Today is not that day.
When he first started SF6, he was saying that he was no longer a top player and wasn’t going to take it too seriously.
The moment he got one character to master (which anyone can do, if they play enough matches) he suddenly thought he was hot shit again and a street fighter master.
They really need to bring in a grand master rank to separate the people who just grinded to master (like Phil) from the people who actually are masters at the game.
The ranking system is meaningless in SF6 which is a shame

As someone who hasn't played a full session of DnD, nor made a real character in it, has only picked up Baulder's Gate 3 and not played games similar to it or in that genre....
BG3 is incredibly noob friendly. It tells you what every stat and skill and ability does, you just have to spend time reading and learning it. I've never played a more complicated yet helpful game.
But of course actually I'm wrong and Phil is correct, its really a dumb game that tells you nothing and expects you to play through it once before playing twice and finally understanding the mechanics and secrets.
the game is loaded with tools to make it much more playable.

FYI, Street Fighter 6 placements are WAY too high. I chose Beginner and climbed to Platinum I with Chun-Li. When I did my placement matches for Cammy, I placed Diamond I after winning 7/10 against people who obviously weren't on their mains. Compare that to SFV where I maxed out at Ultra Silver rank. So, when DSP is beating people, he's beating people like me who are actually bad at the game. It is insane that I was placed so high, and I can only imagine it's Capcom's attempt to encourage players and make them feel better than they really are. And once any player hits Silver/Gold/Master, they can't derank.
DSP keeps saying, "Oh you didn't deserve the win" and "You're not a good player." Well yeah, they know that. Most people who play the game acknowledge that they are bad. And nobody is trying to convince anybody they are good. But if these people just quit the game because they're bad and were placed so high, DSP wouldn't have anybody to play against.
His mentality is just so weird, and he really does think he's better than he actually is. It's pretty insane that I'm close to his rank because I'm actually trash at the game.
