Karen and I are a contemporary dance company (Kaeja d'Dance) whose foundation is rooted in Contact Improvisation. My personal creative investigations into my families experiences during the Holocaust influenced the development of my partnering techniques, as the normal partnering, at the time, did not come close to expressing my choreographic creations. As well, my background is freestyle wrestling (I was invited to compete for the Olympic Federation in 1980) and Judo (I won the CanAm games in 1979). I hope this helps.
