bottom line is get whichever one you can cool for a good price. They're close enough in performance that watching a ton of videos will waste money if you work hourly
This video highlights why none of the early gaming comparison were done in 4K....because there is barely any difference lol. Nobody buying this is playing in 1080, the most dramatic slides to show.
At this system price points 💰 I’d expect Intel cpu to be using at least 7200-7600 MTS ram …. Even at default settings used here with slower AMD based speed memory (6000MTS) and the Intel would still win by more fps. Yes more heat, but really spending these sums of money 💰your buying realistically 7600-8000MTS DDR5 memory or tweaking to these speeds or higher gaining more fps🚀🚀, time saved etc. Yes both CPUs have their place ….. but as many of these videos are meant to show…..best case cpu vs best case cpu (don’t have to achieve Top 5 on benchmarks but a novices easy way to get real performance outta your cpu) before weighing your purchase options 🧐😇👍
Usually when you pair an AMD chip with a Nvidia card, an Intel chip will give more performance. The 7950X3d is powerful for gaming! Intel might have some leeway with editing though.
Between the two, AMD is relatively easier to keep cooler, cheaper and also doesn't have the issue that Intel has with their 13 and 14th Gen CPUs having failures
Probably a stupid question but I assume these test with the cpus basically straight out of box with no overclocking? Am I understanding correctly that intel is better/easier for overclocking? Could the intel catch up to AMD in games where its behind with faster say 7600 ram and an overclock on the CPU?
Yeah probably although at significantly higher power consumption and more heat but a 13900K with a fast kit of ram tuned would probably beat the X3D. Thing is the overwhelming majority of people don't do that or don't want to so for that the X3D is nice plus more efficient. Pick your poison I guess. lol
Why use a Hogwarts Legacy thumbnail, if you dont even Benchmark it?

i9 13900k for the easy win!

13900k wins in most games in 4k...not enough games tested in 4k...other resolutions it's half and half win for both cpus
would be nice to get cpu temperatures in comparison :)

i would say Intel needs more to clocked down instead oc lol
Interesting results
Yeaa we are going to play 1080p with rtx4090 yeeeeyyyy
