hi nice video , i just wondering my Peruvian Cactus got multiple black spots on it recently and a closer look at the spot has a kind of tiny red dot/bug on it . I try it scratch them off but it seems they burrow inside the cactus, only a needle can pick them out. Not sure if you have any idea what those spots/bugs?

Hi! Thanks for checking out the video! The black spots on your Peruvian cactus, along with the tiny red bugs, sound like they might be spider mites or scale insects. Spider mites are tiny red or brown bugs that can cause damage to cacti by sucking out the plant's juices, leading to black spots and general stress on the plant. They often burrow into the plant, making them hard to remove.
For spider mites, I recommend using a strong jet of water to wash them off or applying a mixture of water and mild soap to the affected areas. You can also use insecticidal soap or neem oil. Make sure to treat the plant regularly to prevent the infestation from spreading. If it's scale insects, rubbing alcohol applied with a cotton swab can help remove them.
If the problem persists, it might be a good idea to quarantine the cactus from other plants and consider repotting it with fresh soil. Hope that helps!
