It's so freaking cute! Leslie almost looked sad, though. I'm trying to figure out if he was just trying not to cry or if he wanted someone else to win.
I believe trying not to cry.
Lin was so happy for him. And I think Leslie was trying not to cry and was probably really proud of himself and a little stressed from the anticipation.

I think what I love most about Leslie's vlogs is that his close-ups are VERY close up and he seems like a very calming presence, so sometimes I just watch these to clear my head before I go to sleep
from 6:05 onwards you can really see how much love everyone in the broadway community has for everyone else! it's so adorable!

I did not realize that the entire Tonys were rehearsed. I thought it was just performances.
I suppose seeing as its the theatre community representing themselves to a much larger audience, they probably want it to be as polished and smooth as possible :)
I'm pretty sure all awards shows are rehearsed.
They have to do it so the cameras know where to go and who they need to be looking at at a particular moment as well as working out sound and lighting. Plus the actors are working on a different stage than they are used to so it is helpful for their performance as well (different spacing and staging). This is great to see the process and to see them being able to enjoy the other performances and hang out with each other as well. :D YAY BROADWAY!!!!!
and yet they still showed the wrong person...When they were announcing the nominees for best revival of a musical, they showed Christopher Fitzgerald instead of Michael Arden for Spring Awakening...Must not have rehearsed that part too well...

I swear WHENEVER Lin is seen anywhere backstage or whatever, he is ALWAYS singing!
Loved seeing the behind the scenes of a day at the Tony's. The logistics behind it, boggles the mind. What a hectic day. Half a day of rehearsals, followed by a matinée show, followed by the actual Tony awards ceremony. They are not just performers, they are endurance performers.
I love watching them rehearse their Hamilton roles in normal clothes 😂
14:37 - the end, I honestly started crying again. Hamilton cast and crew, you guys really deserved it. You guys made history. Again. The musical itself, is absolutely beautiful. I hope to watch the replacing cast members sometime next year. I know they will be amazing. Oh, and Congratulations to Javier Munoz casted as Alexander Hamilton after Lin-Manuel leaves. I know this was way back in 2016 and I just watched Hamilton recently (for about four times), but when Renée, Leslie, and Hamilton were announced as the Tony award winners, I got goose bumps and just teared up 😭😭😭 Just so happy for them!
