The piano sound effects together play a C Major scale, which is basically a sequence of notes in a certain pattern that revolve around the first note/the first piano file (which plays the note C.) There are 7 pop piano files and 8 notes in a major scale. The files in order play the notes C, D, E, F, G, B, and then C an octave (8 note names) higher than the first C. There is a note missing (A) that is the 6th note of the scale, which is not in the piano files.
3:20 The best part about that 7 star level is the fact that it is technically the EASIEST one out of those four. The level has a chance of becoming fully automatic after the intro, meaning you can beat the entire thing in only 3 clicks

Not really a fun fact, but Geometry Dash uses OpenGL, even though Vulkan is supported for cocos2d and is much faster and less resource intensive, so almost everyone could get a major increase in performance (unless you’re on a really old system). The only reasons I think Rob hasn’t changed the graphics api is because of compatibility issues or it wouldn’t perfect translate over… Edit: Robtops version of cocos2dx doesn’t support vulkan unfortunately. The only way vulkan could be supported is if he updated his version of cocos2dx, which probably won’t happen
Also I believe robtop is using an old version of cocos2dx and I think he has mentioned that he has modified it quite heavily over the years so updating it would probably be quite an annoying process.

The text in polargeist was never changed to orb because the orange boomling is taking revenge by reminding robtop about the fake imaginary wife and robtop fought back by by adding the red, yellow, pink, green and blue orb to the game but never allowing the orange one in geometry dash. 8:15 I’m sure someone else said this but if you get shards in GD World, then merge this save with your normal GD one, the shard counts are added together for some reason. I also have over 100 Tier 1 shards because of this bug.

14:16 I have a theory that robrop originally named the orb a “ring” initially because he was hit in the head with a frying pan by the orange boomling which let to him hallucinate about getting married and to honor his imaginary wife he named the orb a ring. Many years later after this tragic event robtop then went on to realize what had happened and banished the orange boomling and change the name from “ring” to “orb” and created the divorce portal to show that the orange boomling is not welcome in geometry dash. The reason why the text in polargeist never changed ring to orb is because polargeist sound like the word “poltergeist” which means a loud ghost and that loud ghost is the orange boomling constantly screaming at robtop causing him to delay updates. The text in polargeist was never changed to orb because the orange boomling is taking revenge by reminding robtop about the fake imaginary wife and robtop fought back by by adding the red, yellow, pink, green and blue orb to the game but never allowing the orange one in geometry dash. This is the story of why many people[only me] consider polargeist as one of robtop’s most scariest level.

14:00 yes... i know....... when i loaded my save data from the cloud to gd on my laptop (after finally buying and getting gd on steam, previously i only had the app version) i had to stay on the menu as i heard the achievement sound get higher and higher, paired with the steam achievement unlocked sfx, all of this for 5 whole minutes
