Francesca Bianchi’s is one of my favorites. It has its strong DNA. That makes most of its fragrances of the its flankers. I love them all anyhow. Too bad lately she has made several releases as limited.
If Chanel can have their aldehydes If Dior can have their dceade & half of iris If Guerlain can have their Bourbon vanilla If Creed can have their 'ghost ambergris' If Tom Ford can have their 'Westenized oud' If Amouage can have their Arabian incense If YSL can have its 'cream like patchouli' Then... Ms Bianchi can have her orris butter. She plays with it in vaying degress over the full range of her collection. There are no short cuts here. Instead, what we have is a perfumer who is absolutely unafraid to explore fully the limits of her affection with orris butter. Christian Dior pumped out fougere after fougere after fougere for nearly 40 years with little to no variation. Seems to have worked out just fine for the late Mssr. Dior and his maison. 🍒
I'd agree that it's not short cuts, but I'd agree with Ramsey that it does feel like lazy perfumery. And this would not be said of just anyone, but Francesca with her access to quality materials and a knack for Animalics.. has a lot of potential to create actual masterpieces, rather than decent heavy handed orris-amber perfumes. The variations on Orris simply don't vary enough to warrant the attention of perfume enthusiasts. UMS, BK, LT and EW are few that do stand out to me. Unspoken Musk has a jarring sweetness to it which I think what Rams spoke about. It's not a bad fragrance, it's just nothing remarkable.
first time i bought under my skin i immediately knew this is an intimate scent, not to be worn the usual way for outside.... later on i bought unspoken musk & lost in heaven, tried to wear them the normal way but they didn't work, and laaater i realized for me most items from her are personal scents, stuff to spray under the shirt to mix with the personal smell... they create the most musky attractive smells ever, specially as bed scents
A lot of "good-not great" scents from her, but The Lover's Tale is nice and I'm a huge fan of Byzantine Amber, looking forward to that review! Great stuff, Ram 🙏
☆The Ram seems to be channeling a little Furio Giunta today! Lookin mighty sharp pizan!!! Molto bene reviewio Ram. I would very much like to get a nose on the frags that are preferable to this one. Loved the Halston house overview. One of my earliest faves with mega-nostalgic underpinnings. Much luv and respect to you and the Ram Frag Fam♡♡♡☆🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏
You should definitely try The Mariner's Rhyme (Bianchi, FRESH), Orris Soyeux (Annindriya, Amsterdam; you will be surprised) and maybe Hedonik (you will not like it I think). BTW I own all 24 perfumes Bianchi created. Ps Sex and The Sea (Neroli) are AMBERY perfumes, not fresh or beachy at all. The Black Knight is fantastic.
Cheers Rams , enjoyed this one , I gave quite the lot from Francesca and I enjoy them I do enjoy the old Black Knight, so will be looking out for your thoughts, my final purchase was in 2022 Libertine Neroli, time to move on for me at that point ,no shade just moving on as we tend to do lol 😂. Cheers buddy, badass shirt 👚 I dig it 🙏✌️👍
Hey Ramsey, I love Francesca's work with Byzantine Amber being my favourite! I'd just like to ask, do you think Interlude 53 is worth it/better to buy over the original Interlude Man at an extra £85? I'd love to hear your opinion on it.
@@RamseytheRam I see, I'll look forward to that then. Is Jubilaton XXV still the favourite of your house? I'm currently looking to pick up either Jubilaton or Overture myself but can't decide which just yet as I'm unsure of the current batch performace of Jubilation.
She probably wanted to create a signature accord for the house that you can feel in all her creations, but to me, she kinda overdone it because most of them smell similar. I like some of her perfumes, but this is not one of them. Byzantine Amber is one I am curious to hear your opinion about, it is pretty nice IMO. Also, nice fit, Ram! Looking like the capo of the fragrance mafia. Cheers!
Etruscan Water is one of the more masculine newer (non vintage) scents on the market. So mossy and smokey. A little bit of vintage Yatagan might be tucked in there? Etruscan Water might be the scent of the day tomorrow...
What Francesca Bianchi perfume comes most close to Salome? If i like that perfume í would like Salome? Salome is not that much more expensive then FB in Sweden ,and 20ml more
Yesterday i blind bought The Lovers Tale for 60e and score a sample of 2016 Ambre Eternal accidentally i hope its a win win.. Never smelled them before will report back when i recieve them 🤠
I’ve tried her few and I enjoy her work. But I never felt to buy a bottle. Maybe i should sample everything and pick one that I enjoy most, that would be my only Francesca bianchi.
I want to like her style so much…however the first time that I smelled (her discovery set) I stopped in my tracks. I’ve been a fan of Neil Morris forEVer, and IMHO she “borrowed” his DNA and tried to make it her own. Perhaps my nose, but if ANYONE else smells the similarities please confirm!
I’ve tried this….definitely feels synthetic. I do like this brand to an extent. Her perfumes are hard to get off skin due to fixatives used in composition. I really like Etruscan Water.

Yeah I saw that I would love to smell sticky lips one day
Thanks for watching 👀

I agree with you, and love them so much. Great bases for flowers

Oh okay that's interesting. .. yes I would like to try them all for the channel one day 🍻
Thanks Ram, interesting video.
I’d like to try more of them but I’ve not explored the house much.
Definitely worth exploring am torn ... half of me likes her work.. half of me thinks she is a lazy creator
@@RamseytheRam yeh I’ll let you know if I get the chance- get very busy exploring vintages these days though so who knows when! 😂

Great video 🐏 👃
Thanks for the support
"Pimp my perfumes" by ram the coldest
😂😂😂
Unfortunately, I just don't think she's a very good perfumer. Every fragrance I've tried from her just smells like loud, muddy essential oils.
I somewhat agree with you... thanks for watching & commenting 🍻
Really ????
It's a toss up for me... I agree with Vitamin, but I still like some of her work 🤷🏻♂️
Omg why you didn’t tell me you don’t have opus 8 ♾️ I am sending you it , hopefully today 🫶🏼 pls let me know what else you missing from Amouage 🖤
Okay will do... I think I might have it ... I just can't find it lol
