This comment is for those of you who are still struggling if they should get their own maker knife . Do it. This thing is so well made, designed, produced, packed and delivered with heart and soul. I also had some few questions to the support which where responded quick, kind and with no open questions left behind. For all of that, and for one of the nicest products/tools i bought in the past years i want to say Gracie mille, Giaco, Marco and all of you girls and guys in the maker knife whatever team. i highly recommend and enjoy this peace of design, art and craftmanship. See you in 20 years in MoMa NYC ;))

I'd say don't get one. I've had nothing but struggles with its components since literally opening the box. My adjustments at first were easily lost because the screws move every time you open/close the knife, even with the replacement screws covered in loctite that come with it. The knife would always adjust with use to open in my pocket. Since day one. After that, I set it down for a long time in favor of my 2 dollar Stanley. It's heavier and not slick, but won't cut me, my pants, or my leg randomly. I decided to pick it up again and play with it, and now the opening screw hole is stripped, and the closing screw falls out left and right. Worst money I've ever spent. I didn't even get to use or abuse it once before it broke. Haven't carried it a single day. Literally the worst money I've ever spent, and these things are expensive! I can't believe I was duped by all these reviews on youtube. It's been so long, I doubt I could get a refund. Other people have complained to me about the same things. I can't help but feel scammed.
Tldr; the knife is 100% UNSAFE to carry. Adjusts on its own. Go to Lowes and buy the 2 dollar Stanley utility knife. It's durable, safe, and it has a bottle opener.

I have no idea how you are making a profit on these. The amount of attention to detail that was put in to everything is beyond anything I expected. I was just expecting to get a knife in a box but you and your team took it to the next level. The knurled handle on the mini screw drive, perfect! The band-aid with your logo, nice touch. The restrained use of your logo on the knife body, excellent. The labeling on the box, freaking sweet! You and your team covered every aspect of the product, if I didn't know better I would have bet money this was your day job. You guys killed it. I can't wait to see your next product.

Looks great, still waiting for some news of my silver one being shipped at all though.
FFVoyager as of now all the silver (ordered before Dec 02) are with our forwarder and we’ll start sending out tracking numbers in the following days
i finally received mine just a few days ago and now i have to go buy some utility knife blades.. lol been a long time getting here but it looks like it has been wort the wait.. :)
The only problem I have so far is I don’t have it in my hands yet!!!

jmlcolorado Yes I got an email with a link to track the package. It showed some movement in China then stayed stagnant for about two weeks with no update before suddenly arriving in LA yesterday. It was delivered today, by the way.
Yeah... OK with all that... But.... You have to show us how to open a bottle... There have to be a way!

but you don't need that, bottle can be opened with really anything you can find. some 2x4"? chair? nearly everything would work like a charm :)

Nice looking utility knife. I like the simplicity of the design. My only critique would be that a working utility knife has to have a solid lock when the blade is out. I just watched Tanda Madison open hers out of the box and came over here to check you out.
Wow, all those little Details in the package. Even the package has the giaco Logo on. The Bandage is an awesome idea. The Stickers and that stuff you added, so much enjoyed. The screwdriver is higher quality, than many other screwdriver you can buy.

Dad and I both love the maker knife! I have switched the clip to the other side and tweaked it so it's nice and smooth but not so loose it comes open in my pocket. Thank you brother way. I can't get over the quality. Blew my mind. I have carried it everyday and use about 5 times a day. Ty Brian

I guess mine fell of the ship that supposedly brings it to europe. 4 Weeks and still no update on tracking. But at least I'm not the only one according to messages on Kickstarter and RUclips...

The adjustment is very precise and fine. You don´t need to turn the screws far to have a lot of effect. Awesome!
My only issue with the makerknife is that I keep opening and closing it when sitting at my desk. It's to satisfying and I have to make a conscious decision to put it away, if not I might actually wear it out one day.

Received mine today and love it! Packaging was so nice I didn't want to cut it open.
Feedback: Beautiful knife. Regarding packaging, I took the knife out but not the screwdriver and didn't realize there was stuff below! Mostly on me but that was my experience.
It looks real nice and the opening/closing mechanism seems usefull as well! The only thing I would be worried about is the ergonomy. I use japanese OLFA 5003 knifes which just fit perfectly in your hand and are very durable as well! (they do'nt look as cool tho) If you'r making a lot of models or somehow spending hours working with your blade I would suggest to try them out as well, they are quite cheap too.

@@caseyclymore4417 ordered it when Diresta announced it on the channel, don't remember exactly. Check the tracking number... for me it took 5 days from HK to my country and another 10 days in my country 🤣

I love my Maker Knive, Still waiting to see my silver one comming.
Unfortunately the screwdriver doesn´t fit the Screws. and while taking appart, I destroyed two T6-Bits. But still it´s a great Knive.

Still have had any shipping updates on my order. Initially the silver at the 2K back mark. Then the confirmation email came out. I added the black one. How much longer should I expect?
Had high hopes but disappointed!
I received my knife today and pretty Disappointed with it. Finish it great, packaging is stunning but the consistency of the opening and closing mechanism is off. Even after “tuning it” it feels clumsy. Works great at times and other times it lock to hard or does not lock at all.....
So... in a moment of "pure brilliance"... I lost screw #7 while checking out the extremely small bearing. Anyone know of a place I can get a replacement?

My Diresta ver. is gorgeous. Detail is incredible. Doesn't fit Milwakee Blades due to the curve of the engagement of the blade. Nothing a bit of filing can't fix just an observation.
If I forget it’s in my pocket and go out. Is this California legal??

I just watched your video. I am very pleased with my maker knife. One thing though. I tried to switch the pocket clip to the other side and the shorter of the two screws would not tighten up. I put it back to the original side and it works fine. Any suggestions?
Are there plans for another production run on these? I missed out on the Campaign. I defiantly want to get my hands on the Kinetic Driver as well.
Mine comes out a bit with the ball screw adjusted. Comes out .125 inch. Kinda scared to carry it.
I'm holding one right now but be careful the bit that holds the razorblade is quite week so be careful when you change the blade.
i love your knife man really but i dont get one thing why is it impossible to open a beer with it, i really thoght this was a joke, because the ring would make it perfectly designed to open bottles. :/

This is the coolest knife on the planet BUT I am not going to buy it. I want to do things "properly" so I try to only use my CNC, 3D printer etc. This would only be used for opening packages or maybe cutting a zip-tie once in a while. Although, I may just buy one for that purpose :)

Apparently something went wrong somewhere twice and I don't know what it was. Today I again (third try) tried to contact them about my knife status and promptly received a reply email and was able to get the info I was looking for. March delivery... arrrggghh... OK, at least I know what's up.

Credo che lo comprerò solo per il design, nonostante io non ne abbia minimamente bisogno. L'uso migliore che potrei farne è quello di aprire i pacchi di amazon. È fottutamente bellissimo. Non è un taglierino, è un'opera d'arte.
