It's a good overview. One thing I think you missed when trying the Superclones, is the gain. Since a Superclone is multiple amp clones, you could have had quite a bit more natural gain by boosting the gain of the Superclone, even without the boost pedal. You do a great job. thanks.
Yes good point. I wasn’t sure how the included Superclones were captured but you are right they would most likely have been able to be adjusted like the real amps. My head is still in Quad Cortex/Kemper mode!
Excellent video! One question. Can I record a guitar track through the loop and then export it in some way (pendrive, cloud, or any other way)? If so, can you tell me what the recording resolution is? Thanks
Nice job, I really appreciate the info and the fact you are objective and honest. I am a hobbyist, but a huge HR fanboy (as I am also more or less gear stoopid, and the HR has the best UI that I tried). I look forward to more content from you in my feed. Keep it up!
@aaronshortmusic suppose you're using the dual path 7-7 on CORE BOARD....If you press the tuner switch you have the possibility to mute guitar and mute VC, OK... If I select them both I won't be able anymore to hear my voice, I mean : I'd like to talk to the audience with no fx on my voice while I'm using the dual path voice and guitar. How I can do that? At this moment you can only do that on a straight guitar path... Heeeelp😭😂
Great unit in many ways, it seems, and I really wanted to love it for my solo singing and acoustic/electric performances. However, after receiving mine a few days ago, I sadly sent it back due to a couple of mission-critical features missing. I first wrote to Headrush Support, and they replied turbo-fast with a very helpful answer. 😊 Great company! Unfortunately, that answer revealed that my requested features are apparently not coming soon enough for me to hold onto the unit and wait (or maybe never coming?). They said they’d pass my input onto the development team, but who knows if and when it might get any follow-up? The main feature I was inquiring about would be having a global vocal chain across all presets, enabling the singer to tweak vocals at a gig as needed to suit local conditions (vocal level, EQ, reverb, maybe even compression) and have those changes automatically get applied to the vocal chain on ALL other presets, just as is possible with the TC Helicon VoiceLive 3 Extreme. To be fair, this is a very special feature that no other unit has (except the VL3X), but it is absolutely crucial for me, and the reason my Fender Tone Master Pro is gathering dust waiting to (maybe) receive that feature one fine day. The other missing feature: having vocal effects automatically get switched off when tuning/muting one‘s guitar. And I know Aaron would also like a slight volume boost when tuning and talking to the audience with the vocal effects off. I agree. ;-)
That’s too bad that it didn’t work out. I only use one main preset and a couple others for additional fx but I can see how it would be useful to ‘lock’ a block so that any changes would be global. Especially reverb and boost. The only pedal that does that is the VL3x as far as I know.
@ Perhaps Headrush will get around to implementing my/our request one day. I see why it‘s not as critical for you as someone who uses fewer presets, but I need to have extra presets due to having both acoustic and electric guitar on stage (sometimes even a 2nd acoustic or electric in a different tuning), with each having its own tonal needs. Then add in the special effects presets. The vocals are, however, the main thing, so need to be tweakable on the fly.
A lot of love coming in for the new editor but to me, simply having the foot switch with on press is an absolute game changer. Hated it the way it was.
I'm looking forward to the browser based editor. My two biggest complaints about the headrush core is that the looper has an issue that when you assign the looper buttons to your rig page there is a split-second glitch when you hit start. Go to the looper screen and it's fine. This is a real bummer. Also the vocal Harmony has a strange doubling effect on vocals. Very annoying and unusable. My work around has been to run my TC Helicon for harmony. 😢. Sounds great but kind of defeats some of the purpose. I hope headrush will fix these in the next update.
For some reason, these new amps you’re trying out sound really bright and harsh… almost sounds like all the low end is rolled off and the treble is cranked up…. Normally the Headrush isn’t so bright
Make sure you listen with headphones. They sound fine to me. They are captures so it depends on the settings that the creator used when capturing as well. I usually like to use the amp models or make my own captures if possible.
I still prefer wired connection options. I feel wifi radiation as I am hyper-sensitive to wireless device usage. It should be a no brainer to allow wired or wireless usage on all devices. I've been waiting for Headrush to make an editor for a long time. This wifi editor is not enough. I'm looking at the Core but the Tone Master Pro is coming up strong. It has a great touch screen like the Core but it has a full editor which I can use on an old surface Pro (connected) and have a great work experience. Headrush please take the editor to the next level and add USB connectivity. Great vid Aaron! Thanks.

You do a great job presenting. Very practical approach to things from a musician perspective. Thanks for making the video.
@ Appreciate it!

Yes you can save and export loops but I’m not sure what the quality is.

Thank you. Lots more to come. I appreciate the support!
Thanks for being first to provide the info👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You’re welcome! It’s a big one!
New Kemper 12 beta update is public. And ToneX update today too.
So much firmwarez!!!
top!!! could you please explain if it's possible to mute vocal fx in dual path mode ....I'm gettin crazy 'bout that.
What do you mean exactly?
@aaronshortmusic suppose you're using the dual path 7-7 on CORE BOARD....If you press the tuner switch you have the possibility to mute guitar and mute VC, OK...

@ That’s another feature they should add. Also a slight volume boost on the mic when tuning.

@ It makes sense. The more flexibility the better if it’s optional.
Good update!
But unfortunately they forgot the missing MIDI implementation again.
A lot of love coming in for the new editor but to me, simply having the foot switch with on press is an absolute game changer. Hated it the way it was.
Yes it makes sense to have it as an option!
Can the editor also be used for vocals? Like, say you are recovering from an illness and need a little eq.
Yes it can edit any of the effects parameters in the preset.

Is this firmware also available for the Headrush Prime?
Yes!
For the Core and the new flex too
@ Yeah!
@@ForFunGuitar There's a flex?!? I had no idea about that.
@@vaughanmacegan4012 Yep a MX5 with the prime power
