I started my nail career at the age of 68yrs. I’m now almost 70yrs old and my small salon is booming! Hoping I will still be doing nails for the next 10yrs!
Really!? I’m 32 and was wondering if it was too late for me to start..in the sense of would I be able to generate business and clientele but your post is sooo motivating..Thank you
Good for you !! That had to take tremendous courage!! I am scared to return and your just starting out... And it's fantastic to hear your business is booming - cause that's the main issue. If you build it, will they come.. lol Thank you so much for sharing... It really is a help to those of us, wondering what to do. 😊
I'm starting my nail career at the tender young age of 56! It is never too late! I have discovered that there is a niche for me in the nail world. I have an affinity with the aging community. They have specific hand and foot care needs to be addressed that I find a willingness to help them with. And art!!! OMG!!! I LOVE NAIL ART!!! I dream about nail art! Sure, I get tired and sore easily, but I learn to pace myself and take care of myself. Anyone who is getting started in a new career in this current climate... Good on you! Whatever it is, do what you love!
@@trulyblessedby3 I followed Tracy's suggestion, to be honest. I found the one that I could afford. With the knowledge that I would have to rely on tutorials and outside classes for the real education, not to mention a ton of practice and some amazing mentors in my circle of friends. I'm attending school to earn my license. Sometimes I do learn something new there, but most of the time, I rely on what I've learned outside.
Wow! I am 59 years old and just getting started in this. I have watched hours of videos and have already spent over $1000.00 in supplies (don't tell my husband LOL) but I have always been a person who jumps in with both feet. I really think this will just be a hobby for me but I plan to be exceptional at it! I am excited and love watching all the videos. Glad to know I am not the only pre-senior citizen out there. Thanks for the on line tutorials!!
I've raised 10 children, with 3 minors left in the home... I have just started my passion for nails and I am 46!!! You guys are so inspiring to me, thank you!!
You guys will NEVER KNOW just how appropriate the timing of this video is 👏👏 As soon as I can get into Nail School, this will be my future 🙏🙏 Age has nothing to do with achieving goals; it's all about passion and the love for it. 😘
I'm 33 and have just started my nail diploma, I'm the oldest on my course by 10 years! So needed to see this. I was a staff nurse for 11 years so a complete career turn around for me.
I’m 32 and a nail career has been calling me for quite some time …I love nails and even giving pedicures…I was thinking I would start school next training block but was wondering was I too late to the game
I’m 32 and was very interested in obtaining my license to become a nail technician. This would also be a compete career turn around for me as well from early childhood education field for 10 years
I turned 60 in June. I am on Disability and I am sick of being poor! I will be starting up again doing nails at home because of Young Nails amazing educational videos! I did try to go to hairdressing school at 54 but the school closed down. Then I moved. So hell ya!! 60 is the new 40!!!
I'm a teacher as well and it's really relaxing and calming down as you say. I'm just doing friends and family's nails at the moment, but I must confess that I have begun thinking about doing it as a kind of profession after having retired, which will be in four years. That will also give me the possibility of perfecting my skills.
DO IT AND NEVER LOOK BACK ❤️ - just remember it takes patience, LOTS of practice and hard work. (You didn’t become a teacher overnight. You won’t become a nail tech overnight) but you can start! ❤️
I got my license 9: years ago, I was 37. Couldn’t build a clientele fast enough to make money so I had to get another job doing something else. Fast forward to now, I’m 46, and I’m just on the edge of my seat in the fast lane petal to the metal GO! 🥰❤️🥰❤️
I’m 55. Was a exotic dancer for years and now work in Walmart bakery. Hate it!! Love nails. Went to nail tech school 2 years ago. Haven’t got my license yet. Working daily on nails. This video came at the right time for me. Thanks.
Thank you guys for this pep talk! I am 63 and I started “doing my own nails at 56 then I started doing my teenagers got interest more went to classes where other professionals teach just basic. Then I convinced myself to go to school which I started in March, went for 1 week and because of covid city college closed down and I can’t continue school to get licensed because cannot afford a private school so I was knocking myself down and then started watching you guys again and I will start practicing again on my own! Thanks for encouragement
I’m 25 in class right now with a 53 year old! She’s shocking herself at how capable she is at doing nails! She’s never done anything but those sticky nail decals! Do it if that’s what you love! 💜
I have been watching hundreds of nail videos . I love the artistry involved with doing nails, and I love to work with my hands. I’m 57 and if I had the money, would definitely get my nail tech license. For now I practice with my fake hand over and over.
I graduate from nail tech school on October 22nd. I'm a disabled Veteran. I'm wheelchair bound but I won't let that define me. I'm also 51 years young!
I went to school to be a nail tech in 1997 at age 23 after deciding I didn’t want to be a nurse. Worked as a nail tech for a few years then stopped to have kids...fast forward to 2020 at age 47 decided to do nails again 💜💅🏻 I am loving learning everything that has changed in 23 years.
This is amazing and just the validation I needed. I’m a 44 year old makeup artist embarking on a new addition to my business with gel nails and extensions and I can honestly say I’ve never felt so happy. I love it and I love all your tutorials and advice. Onward and upward ❤️ Lori Scotland 🏴
I love watching these biz talks in the morning while drinking my coffee. I'm not a nail tech but I've had a passion for nails for years and do my own at home. I just love learning and watching videos about how to build a nail structure, designs, products etc. This is such a great topic because unfortunately the western world places such an emphasis on age especially towards women and the so called limitations as we get older. I have noticed many women asking is 40 too late to start nails and thinking in my head-its never too late and 40 is still young! People have been brainwashed to think after 40 thats the job and life you are stuck in but it is never too late to live the life you want! As long as your living and your mind is still functioning you can start over. A lot of people keep their full time jobs while doing a side business so they have that security. You mom is a true testament to the meaning of its never too late. She's amazing an inspiration!
Im 36 and actually just enrolled in tech school. Spent the better part of almost 20yrs. In food service management. I'm do excited. I actually started doing my own nails as a hobby 5 years ago. Got really great byway of u guys (😘😜) and with tge encouragement of my husband, family and friends here I come nail world. It just do excited to me. Wish like he'll I would've started 20+ years ago professionally!!!! You guys inspire us your RUclips veiwers to be great. U love u all from Habib to Tracey, Steph,Greg!😘
Hi, I am 43 years old and just starting my own mobile business. Ever since I saw one of your videos I was hooked. But, honestly this one has me in tears if joy today. I was a single mom of 4 wonderful kids and worked in order to support them. I finally got to the point at my previous job that the stress was literally killing me. I took medical leave and went to nail tech school, after having my first set of acrylics done and thinking, "Why can't I do this?". Never did I ever think I would find something that I love to do and that allows me to be myself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your tutorials, biz talk, humor and support! You guys truly make a difference! Much love
Needed this! I'm still younger at 32 but it has crossed my mind after being off for majority of the last 6 years with 3 young kids. My husband and I are talking about putting up a small salon and me getting back into it but the thought of did I miss my opportunity is always in the back of my mind!
Thank you for bringing this topic up. I’m 45 and always knew how to do nails. My mother was a licensed cosmetologist while I grew up. So I was her guinea pig trainee. Now due to Covid I started doing my own nails again and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Planning on getting licensed in the near future and start my hustle.
I love doing nails and if it wasn't for the love I have for doing them who knows what my life would be like...I am a recovering addict and used for 20 yrs...I am 38 now and I started doing nails 2 yrs ago because it kept my mind off thinking and kept me busy relaxed and most of all happy now I'm pretty darn good at it and I am hooked and I'm looking into starting school to do them professionally now 🥰💅💅wish me luck
In 2019 I went though a difficult situation where I lost all control. Doing nails kept me busy and my mind moving a different direction and calmed me down. I love nails so much. I started nail school and due to quarantine I’ve stayed home doing nails on myself and mannequin. I’ve gotten pretty good and things are slowly starting to fall into place in my life. Keep going girl! Don’t stop! ❤️
Stay on point my sister. Kudos to you. Stay strong and just keep getting more and more into the nail craze. Start watching more and more videos. The Russian women are freaking amazing! Dig more and more. There's enough out there to keep you busy. I will keep you in my prayers. You are awesome!!!
You made my day. I am 62 and I am just doing my nails and family. I had a setback with my wrist surgery but I am still going to do my nails. It is just so wonderful for you to say age doesn’t matter. Some of us that are older have a mind that is still young. Great video thank you so much for making my day.
I started at 30. That was 4 years ago, I did not know what I was missing ( just recently heard of Young Nails). I still love my regular job but I just can't stop doing nails. I love the freedom, the creativeness, the endless possibilities when it comes to the nail art. You guys are always on point with your topics. You guys inspire me so much. Thanks for that.
I'm 42 and I have 1 month out of school and I love the nail world! The most important is you inspire me to get better and learn how be good on it! Thank you for your knowledge!
😭 This truly brought tears to my eyes(in a good way 💖). 38 and have been doing/interested in nails since I was like 14. I thought healthcare was best for me because I have always loved helping people, however, never happy at the end of the day. Just started this journey about 3 years ago. You guys have no idea what this video means to me right now 🥰 THANK YOU!!!! 💖💖💖💖
I started when I was 50. I'm still new, 52. The only thing that bothers me is I HAVE to keep my day job :-( Health insurance alone let alone my pay keeps me there. Presently, I have a little salon set up in my home. I get out of work and start with my nail clients. I'm tired. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE what I do. I only wish I had more time ahead of me to open a full time salon and do nothing but nails full time, but again...I need that day job for security. When you are older you don't have the luxury of time for financial recovery.
I've always liked doing nails but it wasn't until my formal job was over at 36 that I built up the courage to take on nail classes at a beauty school. Age is not an issue sure..but it helps that your young with no other responsibilities than to get better at what you're doing in that moment and to have a family that's by your side supporting you.
Mom of 5 in my mid 30’s, Nails have always been my passion. I would start, stop, start, stop because I became a mom at an early age. I wanted to be the best mom so I trained my mind to think that not following my passion was ok. Until my 16 yr old made a statement, during our daily random talks that would change everything. She has a career goal and is determined to follow. I told her she should have a plan B just in case. And her response😱 “Mom I don’t want a plan B because if I get discouraged with plan A, plan B would be my easy way out. Mom you’re in a career you hate because you probably thought your plan B was easier”😱 that statement literally changed my whole perspective. So no it’s never too late😉🤗🙏🏼
I’m 47 years young and I was licensed last year! If u are passionate about the nail career or whatever it is, go for it, jump in and do what u love! Age should not dictate your dreams! I’m determined to be one of the best no matter my age❣️
I went to cosmetology school at 45. I’m now a solo nail technician and master pedicurist working in two salons. I have a full clientele offering advanced pedicures to diabetics and seniors. I did get more education to become a master pedicurist. I’m 51
I was 36 when I started and one of the older ones in your 1st OWC hard gel class so glad I did it and new phase of my life right now opening on my own shop. It has always been a passion of mine to open up my own shop and now I'm doing just that. Thank you Young Nails!
I just graduated my nail tech program on Tuesday! This video comes with perfect timing as I've been wondering if I was too old! I'm the oldest one in my class (including older than my instructor) at 32! ❤
Passion has no age limit!!! I started nails when I was 37 (in Redding, CA) and finally enjoyed my career for the first time in my life! I have since found my additiinal passion in footcare and became the West Coast Eduacator for NASP. I love working on nails and I love making a difference in people's lives when I can help them with their feet. I also love teaching others how to take their career to a whole new level with providing specialty footcare to clients. I love my job and this journey I'm on. As I move to Oregon, I see a whole new area of opportunities! It's never too late to follow your passion!
I made the decision to go to nail school at 55. After spending a lifetime farming/raising livestock. Graduated my nail tech/esthetics class as valedictorian at 56 years old! I love it!
Love love love this! I will be 43 on October 6th. This information just made me so happy!!! The valuable information that you guys and gals put out there for free is absolutely priceless, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU
Hi I’m 61 years old and I’m so happy that you did this segment. I cannot wait to retire so I can get my license and do nails full time. Right now I do my daughter’s and granddaughter’s nails, some friends when I have the time. Right now I’m a caregiver this is rewarding but I love doing nails
I'm 39 I just started nail school March 2021. I drive trucks in evening and go to school during morning!! It's hard some days but I know this is what I want to do!! I love nails I been getting my nails professionally done for over 20 years and now I can do my nails myself!!! It's never too late to do what u love & have a passion for!!!
This video couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m 39 and I started doing my own nails when my salon closed due to Covid-19. I loved it so much that I started my own press on business. It hasn’t been easy but I have this fire in my belly that won’t allow my to quite. Next step is becoming a Nail Ninja. I love you guys ☺️ thank you so much!
Omg thank you!! 🙏🏼💖 this is the topic I was too afraid to ask you guys for because I know age is just a number and all, but I just finished nail school this spring and I was one of the oldest ones there (I just turned 37) and most of the girls there were in their early 20’s so I was feeling a little discouraged that I might be too old 😔 but I love nails and I have loved nails since I was 13 and never thought it could actually be a career. But I am glad you guys confirmed that it’s never too late to start being a nail tech 🤗
Graduated nail school and then attended OWC At 59! Never too late to start!! OWC was a huge boost for my self confidence. Thank you YN for ALL of the education you provide!
61 years old and still doing nails...just added e-filing a couple of years ago...than you Lord for the Invention of the efile. And to young nails, especially greg...you are a great teacher in all of the nail field ...but the efile education from you is on point.
You're mom is very inspiring ❤ I am 44 and sometimes I think about it twice and I think about your mom and gives me that push I can do it too! Thank you to your mom #kudostomoms
I'm 34 and will be starting nail school in January! RIght now I'm a manager at a personal care company and I've been second guessing myself because it's a good full time job. It's also the most demanding and mentally draining work I've ever done and it has made me realize that an office job isn't for me. I'm heartened to see that I'll be joining a group of people with such different and individual journeys. All of y'all in the comments are so inspiring!
I earned my cosmetology license when I was 22 and now I am 51 and I have rediscovered my passion for nails. I love expressing myself by creating nail art and designs. This was a great inspirational video because I was just thinking about this topic. I am practicing and sharpening my skills because I see a nail salon with my name on it in the near future. I feel that you are never too old to start a new beginning.
You guys are awesome. I am 58 and I am in nail technology training now. I love it. Even through I find it a little stressful trying to build a client base but I love it so much. And yes it is my passion.
I'm 49yr and have become so interested in nails. Been learning myself from all your videos. Been doin my own nails from March (from covid-19) started. Iv been looking into doin a course but have always felt that I'm to old to do them n I'd b laughed at by others on course. Thank you for this, u hav encouraged me to move forward x
48 when I started school, a Master of Cosmetology degree because no nail program was nearby, and I was the only one of my class to graduate on time!! I started my nail business at 50 and I LOVE what I get to do everyday!! It is beyond true to find and follow your passion and you will live with joy! Just do the nails!!! 👍☺️💅😍
I've been obsessed with nails sense I was about 12, tried a couple Kiss acrylic kits in between then and about to ge 25. I didn't start watching videos until a cpl years ago, about age 28.. finally I got a few good products and a E-file and I'm seeing improvement, enough to keep me going. If I had more product to practice more I know I'd improve faster, but I still have to wait until I'm licensed to take clients (outside my family) and charge for product used. Thank you for this video, something I definitely needed to hear at 30 🤗
I’m 33 years old and started my nail career in April of this year due to the pandemic. I love doing nails hopefully I can do it full time eventually. I currently have a full time corporate job which is really stressful. But it pays much more then I get for doing nails.
I have been a hair colour specialist for 32 years. 51 years old and considering going to nail tech training. I have my cosmetology licence but the last time I did a manicure was 33years ago. Sculpting and art are definitely a passion. I will continue to watch videos and see what happens. 💗 COVID is certainly a set back but no excuse to not learn all I can.
I am 52 and worked at the same company for 20 years. Always paid some one to do my nails. Started working on my own nails and learning through videos. Looking at starting school in the winter semester.
Im 39 and i changed my path this year. Just this Tuesday I passed nail school and on Monday I’m starting at a salon and will be working with one of the best nail techs in my country. (Denmark) I’m so happy ❤️
I enrolled in nail school during the covid shut down. I found a school that had switched to hybrid with some on-line bookwork to get started. It helped me cope with the isolation factor. I am 54 years "young" 😃.
I'm 50 and just about to get moving on it. I already have my nail tech license for 4 yrs now. Just was doing other things, now I can go back to my little love💅
I’m so happy you did this topic! I asked this question a few weeks ago (I’m also 46). My concern was that people would rather go to a younger nail tech. After reading your comment back to me Tracy I’ve been so motivated. The only problem I have now is finding a school that is not closed due to COVID 19. I felt like I’m on a time limit because of my age but I feel so much better after watching this. Thank you!
Wow. I’m 45 and have been in cosmetology licensed for 20 + years but had to stop to raise my son many times and I’m ready to go back start full time in nails only after Covid let’s up more. I love nails and just have a passion for it. So I believe it is never too late to for me to go back and enjoy my profession as a nail artist. Thanks so much for this video. It really helps to inspire so many.
Ok guys... You read my mind or what? I watch your videos almost every day, and today you nailed (!!!) it totally! xD I am 48 yrs old, and atm experimenting a lot with different building materials and nailart to see if I like it so much I wanna spend a fortune on a proper education (here in Sweden you need a really good education to get a good ensurance for nailbusiness). Thank you for letting me know I am still young enough! Love from Sweden!
I’m 31 & always lived for having cute nails. Now that this pandemic is going on I decided I wanted to learn how to do them myself. It’s fun and exciting, and I learn a lot from your channel. I feel like I’m just at the point where I’m exploring this interest so thanks for this convo and all of your helpful videos! Who knows where this can lead for me. 💕
I'm not old nor seasoned in my nail journey yet. I wanted to get into cosmetology but I was on the struggle bus a drug addict since a young teen. It hot really bad I decided to turn my life around at 20 got pregnant a year later, couldn't afford school or childcare. So I learned at home. My daughter, mother, and sister let me practice on them with hair and I'm confident in that area. I am now 29 and in the beginning of my nail journey thanks to young nails. My daughter is homeschooled this year but next school year is my year! I have the money for school and I couldn't be any more excited and ready for this chapter!
Welp, this just made me feel 100X better today!!! I am 45yrs old... just started in March of this year. I also had been in the corporate world for over 20yrs. But last year due to stomach ulcers, I almost lost my life. Was in a coma and on life support for 3 days! After healing from having my 3rd stomach surgery in 2yrs, and deciding I just cant go back to the rat race. I said to myself, I have always loved nails, tried in the past to do my own but never had time to really sit down and learn. Well, had plenty time during Covid and during my healing process...lol...just schools are opened up ...so I set up a space in my house, and I have the support of my 2 kids and even teaching my 13yr old daughter along the way... I am at my desk every single day practicing, watching videos, while throwing in a load of laundry! Lol... I am also realizing that there are no nail supply stores in my area what so ever. A couple of Sally's but nothing really good. I have a store front connected onto my house which my mom and dad used to own as a party store but we had to close up after 35yrs. They told me I could do whatever I wanted, i am thinking I should open up a nail supply store. Lol... the closest nail supply store for any upper michigan person is close to Detroit, which is a 2 hour drive. I think this might be a good idea. But 1st I still want to go to nail school and learn both ends.
I have been off and on about this industry and hearing the story your mom inspired not to give up and again is never too late I'm 47yrs and I raised 4 boys by myself and out myself through school and study study is all i do. I am working into my own products as well but its a process. I'm so glad for this video thanks you guys for sharing it you inspire more and more every day. bless you
Thank you for this! I’m 35 now and currently in nail school.. I was definitely scared due to my age but I truly love it!! This video is my confirmation
Really enjoyed this episode. I’m 47 and am in my nail course now. It’s pretty funny listening to the kids in this course (since I’m definitely the oldest) the nice thing is I have the money to buy good products and supplies so that’s a plus of age lol. I am completely enjoying learning Nails, I can’t stop watching Greg and running into my nail room to try it myself. I will say the energy is definitely not as high as these young girls but hey it’s all good!
I am 39. I was a health insurance agent until a year ago when I quit to become a stay at home Mom. My husband kept mentioning me going back to work after our youngest starts school next year. I hated the thought of going back to insurance, so I decided that as soon as all of my kids are in school I will be going to nail school! I will be 40 by the time I finish, but I am so excited to start a career that I will enjoy.
I've kinda always had a knack for doing nails and hair. When I was 12 or 13, the lady who my mom had hired to pick us up from school and take us to our sports practiçes/cheerleading/ home to start my family's dinner and deep clean our house a few times a week, [aka kinda like a babysitter and transport] (depending which kid it was of the 5 of us, what day it was, etc.), ANYWAYS, she had noticed that I was really good at doing my nails and my friends' nails and that I cut all my brothers and several friends hair, anyways, she was picking up from school one day, and after I got in her car, she flopped a Kiss Acrylic kit (like a huge one with the tips and everything, not like anything I've seen nowadays), but she told me that she had noticed that I had a real knack for nails, and she was tired of going out and paying $45 and not being satisfied or soaking them off as soon as she got home; she said she would supply me with the kits AND pay me $50 every time I did her nails. She wanted me to practice on my friends and myself, and when I felt ready, her. I'm so thankful for that 💖 it really lit the match that sparked the flame of,"OMG... this is so me!' My mom was totally against anything that wasn't in the medical field, and said I had to get a "real job" when I grow up...☹️ So she made me go to nursing school, which I excelled in and graduated in 2012 as president of my class and valedictorian at the age of 22, but all the while, still doing hair and nails, just unlicensed and mostly I didn't charge except for the materials. Several years later, I was diagnosed with epilepsy with grand Mal type seizures, so I decided to take a break for my health, and I moved 200 miles away, so I could live my own life, ya know? Now I'm 30, and am planning on going to cosmetology school next year when my youngest daughter is of age to start school... I do people's nails all the time and I do charge, but I don't charge what my nails are worth(you guys did a biz talk about that) because I'm not licensed. Sooooo.... That's my story, I guess I was 29 when I got really serious about it like as a potential career .... See j felt like that was too old, and have been feeling really self-conscious about my age, so I'm really glad that you guys decided to do a biz talk on this 🤗 (PS to get good with those AWFUL KISS BRUSHES AND THE CEMENT MONOMER...🤪 I wish I had had some better tools at my disposal, and I wouldn't have spent so much time thinking why can't I do this like the guy at the salon?! [Keep in mind, RUclips was not yet a thing; our phones were those Nokias with snake çhase... And of course I didn't have an electric file; all terrible hand files, but I made it work!] Anyways.... Thanks guys 💖
You are never to old to achieve what you want. I waited along time and I listened to the wrong people and I finally said it's my time now went to school and I did it!!
I'm 24 yrs old and I've always had a passion for nails when I was younger but along the way I got discouraged... But now with the state of the world I am definitely considering taking this career more seriously. I looking forward to getting into nail school to then start a career!
Thank you for this blog. I have been doing hair for 35 years. I’m thinking of adding nails to my services. I started right be before the pandemic now I have to start over in building my clientele but your helpful video has been very helpful thank you 🙏🏼. I’m so excited to start ☺️
Almost 35 and going to become a nail tech this, or next fall at the latest. I was going to drop out of school and obtain my GED to become a nail tech at 16, but decided I wanted the satisfaction of earning my diploma. One horrible marriage, 4 kids, and nearly 20 years later... I'm getting back to that dream. I was in the enrollment process last year, but my niece needed a sitter and I wanted to continue being home with my youngest. They both have one year left before entering kindergarten, so I have to really decide between being home one last year, or beginning my nail career a year earlier. Thank you for making me brush away my doubts of succeeding just because of my age ❤️
Thank you this is something some of us needed an inspiring women who didn't use an age to not start something im a 30 years young an using that motto to get things going with my nails an now that i think about it i want dance classes i loved doing that as a child an wanna bring enjoyment into my life thank you 💋 💋
Im so happy this topic came up thank you YN❤ i was in my early 20's doing nails then stopped years ago now im in my late 40's wanna start again doing nails.
I am 53 and have been a dental assistant for 35 years. I wend back to school last year to become a licensed nail tech and I love it! Best decision I have ever made! Don't let anything hold you back!! from Indiana
@@youngnailsinc thank you so much for your response! I am doing mainly pedicures in the salon and want to do more nails, just don't feel like I am very good at it and the girls there don't have time to work with me. Any advise would be very much appreciated!
I am 57 and just got laid off 2 days ago as a travel agent. I have been teaching myself from home how to do nails and will probably go to nail school. At this age, I have the CAPITAL now!
Hiya im 61 & i did my 1st qualification at 59 years young I had done my own gel nails for quite a few years & my Daughter in law talked me into trying acrylic Never ever did i think i could master acrylic but love it . People say why don't you finish your job & do this for a living but i always say if i was young but not at 61. XXX
Thank you for this video ! I have always been passionate about nails since I was in high school but never felt good enough . I am now 26 and would like to begin a career.
I started my nail career at the age of 68yrs. I’m now almost 70yrs old and my small salon is booming! Hoping I will still be doing nails for the next 10yrs!
Wow you are inspirational
Beautiful!! I am 57 and possibly will go to Nail School. Thank you for sharing!!

That had to take tremendous courage!!
I am scared to return and your just starting out...
And it's fantastic to hear your business is booming - cause that's the main issue.
If you build it, will they come.. lol
Thank you so much for sharing...
It really is a help to those of us, wondering what to do.

Kelley Wood How did you select your school?
@@trulyblessedby3 I followed Tracy's suggestion, to be honest. I found the one that I could afford. With the knowledge that I would have to rely on tutorials and outside classes for the real education, not to mention a ton of practice and some amazing mentors in my circle of friends. I'm attending school to earn my license. Sometimes I do learn something new there, but most of the time, I rely on what I've learned outside.
❤️🙏🏼 thank you for sharing this💖
I love this!! When it’s your own business and you love it you won’t be as tired but obviously take care of your body! You can do it!
I have been doing nails for close to three years. I am 61!
I've raised 10 children, with 3 minors left in the home... I have just started my passion for nails and I am 46!!! You guys are so inspiring to me, thank you!!
Us?! You are inspiring! Follow that passion! Thanks for tuning in🥰
I love this! Congratulations! ❤️
Onwards and upwards! Good luck!
I’m a teacher...and I’ve been thinking about doing nails after school because it calms me down...and it’s not as stressful!
I'm a teacher as well and it's really relaxing and calming down as you say. I'm just doing friends and family's nails at the moment, but I must confess that I have begun thinking about doing it as a kind of profession after having retired, which will be in four years. That will also give me the possibility of perfecting my skills.
Do it.. it’s so fun to learn & you just have to jump in .. you can learn from RUclips I did & then went to school
Do it!! You got this.
Go for it! If you want to do it, just keep plugging on! Any practise you can get is good.
@@createinspain Thanks I will!
Had she already been to nail school! I truly want to get into nails and I’m 52.
Do it!!! It is so much fun!!!
Happy early graduation🎉
CONGRATULATIONS 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 . Thank you so very much for your service and sacrifice. You are loved and appreciated!
I really needed this today. Thank you. Looking at starting my nail career at 38 years old (lifelong dream). Thank you so much for your wisdom!
I'm 55 and just starting to teach myself how to do nails on a model hand. It may or may not lead to anything but it makes me happy.
I am 58 years young and in my 2nd month of manicure school in East Lansing, Michigan! Loving it and wish I would have done it sooner!
This is amazing and just the validation I needed.
I’m a 44 year old makeup artist embarking on a new addition to my business with gel nails and extensions and I can honestly say I’ve never felt so happy. I love it and I love all your tutorials and advice.
Onward and upward ❤️

Much love
☺️You are so sweet! Thank you for the kind words❤️
Needed this! I'm still younger at 32 but it has crossed my mind after being off for majority of the last 6 years with 3 young kids. My husband and I are talking about putting up a small salon and me getting back into it but the thought of did I miss my opportunity is always in the back of my mind!
I’m 51 and I’m just getting started on my nail career. Thank you so much for all the great videos. They are truly appreciated.
Don’t stop! ❤️
@@alinacornejo6950 thanks !!! 💖and u too hun 💖💖💖🙏
Stay on point my sister. Kudos to you. Stay strong and just keep getting more and more into the nail craze. Start watching more and more videos. The Russian women are freaking amazing! Dig more and more. There's enough out there to keep you busy. I will keep you in my prayers. You are awesome!!!
@@robynmoore7331 thank you soooooo much 💞💖 and god bless you sweetie 🙏🙏🙏 I truly appreciate you 🥰🤗🥰
You made my day. I am 62 and I am just doing my nails and family. I had a setback with my wrist surgery but I am still going to do my nails. It is just so wonderful for you to say age doesn’t matter. Some of us that are older have a mind that is still young. Great video thank you so much for making my day.
Thanks for tuning in!☺️
I started at 30.
TY🥰
This is EXACTLY what I needed!!! Thank You!!! Age is just a number.... I’m 45 but I feel like I’m 25. It’s mind over body. Do what you love!!!
You are only was old as you feel! Thanks for watching Shaune!🥰
I grew up in the beauty industry. But when I decided to go to nail school in NJ I was 32. I’m now 37 and love what I’m doing..
Hi!! Just started nail school and I'm 50!!!
Never to late!!! My daughters love that I'm doing it and they are so supportive!
We love a good support system! Keep at it☺️
I went to cosmetology school at 45. I’m now a solo nail technician and master pedicurist working in two salons. I have a full clientele offering advanced pedicures to diabetics and seniors. I did get more education to become a master pedicurist. I’m 51
I’m 47, I started my nail journey 3 years ago. I love it. Still trying to build up my client base. But hopefully that will fall into place 🖤
I'm 45 and I went back to school to become an full spec I fell in love doing nails so there is no age limit in in the nail business !
Yay!! Go Kelila!🙌🏼
I love it!
Congratulations! Keep up the good work🎉
Love love love this! I will be 43 on October 6th. This information just made me so happy!!! The valuable information that you guys and gals put out there for free is absolutely priceless, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU
Thank you for watching & happy early birthday!
We are happy you enjoyed it! Thanks for tuning in🥰

Nail Ninja, we like it! Thanks for watching☺️
I’m 37 and very passionate to do nails. Thanks to your advice I’m gonna start doing nails now. So excited.
You're mom is very inspiring ❤ I am 44 and sometimes I think about it twice and I think about your mom and gives me that push I can do it too! Thank you to your mom

I appreciate the times you all sit and talk and tell the real it’s so refreshing and so needed💯😭
I’m 51 and just starting...you’re only as old as you make yourself 💕
I am a nail student of 57 at a YN education. I am also a licensed beautician for 25 years. I love YN products 💕
Congratulations!!🎉
I enrolled in nail school during the covid shut down. I found a school that had switched to hybrid with some on-line bookwork to get started. It helped me cope with the isolation factor. I am 54 years "young" 😃.
I'm 50 and just about to get moving on it. I already have my nail tech license for 4 yrs now. Just was doing other things, now I can go back to my little love💅
Talk about your AHA MOMENT!!! You make everything so easy. Thank You again for sharing your expertise.
Thank you!
Lol 49 Years Old Myself When I Started.. I Love doing Nails.. It's Relaxing for me. No Stress
You're right, it's never too late! Thanks for watching Fya!😁
You got this! ❤️❤️❤️
You know what's best for you. Go Donna! Thanks for watching😁
I was in my late 40s when I did go to school and everyone was saying I shouldn't do it well I proved them wrong I made it!! Been licensed for 8 years.
Thank y'all for this inspiring conversation!!❤❤
