As much as the late, great Robin Williams is HIGHLY praised for his role as Genie--and deservedly so of course--the chemistry that both Scott Weinger and Linda Larkin had as Aladdin and Jasmine respectively was very, very important too and should also not be forgotten.
I just close my eyes and I'm transported back to 1993 --- There I was 11 year old me watching it the first time on VHS --- It was my all time favorite Disney movie because my mom bought it for me as a gift on my birthday --- and I've been in love ever since ---
I actually just had the privilege to meet Linda Larkin at a Chicago con last week, C2E2. Jasmine is and always will be my favorite Disney Princess, so meeting her was a real dream come true. I even went as far as to bow before her the same way that Sora, Donald and Goofy did in Kingdom Hearts II. I took a photo with her and then got it autographed. It was, in her own words, all so magical.
That’s awesome! And it’s very interesting the same guy who played Aladdin is the same guy who played Steve in Full House and when they went to visit WDW in the Magic Kingdom Steve was Aladdin in the parade!
I could watch all the voice actors return and do the voices again for the whole movie like this and obvious sit back and watch the genie parts unless they got footage of him recording lines back in the day and show that
There were a lot of outcry over the movie in general. We just didn't have social media back in the day to prove it. A lot of Middle Easterns claimed that the film was stereotypical...that I will agree.
@@JocelynRatzer there's a disclaimer NOW where it's like 30 years later but I'm trying to say that these outcries and complaints have been happening forever
I would have liked it if these actors provided funny dialogue I made up about them where Aladdin would say “I can’t help it, Jasmine! I just love dancing!”, and then Jasmine’s response would be “Aladdin, take a break and let somebody else have a turn!”
She has such a sweet voice just like a princess (:
"THEN MAYBE I DON'T WANT TO BE A PRINCESS ANYMORE!!!!"

They don’t even sing their own songs
@@dwaynedibley997 So? It's not just about the singing.
@@futuremovieactor Aladdin was definitely about the singing
@@dwaynedibley997 Not all of it. There was the story, the characters, the comedy. All also very important factors.
@@futuremovieactor yes robin williams and the best soundtrack of any Disney film made this film..
So weird hearing them without any animation....Aladdin, grew up but Jasmine still sounds the same
It's all so Magical - Jasmine
The timing and cadence….they are perfect still!!!!! I love them so much

Wow, I didn't even put two and two together. Steve and D.J., Aladin and Jasmine. 🥰🥰🤗🤗
I love Disney
Same here!
Their voices still the same!

Can you imagine the outcry over this voice casting now? Justified outcry certainly, but holy smokes, Disney would be in the hottest of water.

@@yolandayoo5561 no I know, I’m just backing up that they recognize it’s pretty messed up
I believe the voice of Abu is also the original and still voice of Fred from Scooby Doo.
Both are voiced by the same person who has voiced megatron among other characters for all these years
His is Frank Welker
