So I told her I really liked her necklace and she looked at me with this deadpan expression and said in the most monotone voice “Thanks. It’s my grandpa.” Everyone around us just got really quiet. Like 😀 oh…okay…cool…
This is actually one of my favorite parts of jrwi riptide so much, it’s like even though they are in a tough situation that is the worst thing that could happen they are still trying to be fun and goof off. It’s actually so fucking heartwarming and I might have cried during this episode. I guess this is just one of the moments that really stuck with me. Also I REALLY REALLY love the designs and art style of these characters from you.
Wow, this is beautifully done. I love the detail of Jay's earrings swinging around. Chip's facial expressions are very touching. You really communicate the gravity of the situation they were in without losing the way Chip and Jay were trying to lighten the mood.

This captures them so well, the banter they have and the sincerity and these little philosophical moments that every campaign has- man it’s so riptide pirates of them to be so lighthearted and sincere at the same time. I love love how everyone moves, ehehe the way Gillian is draped across the boat and Chip getting worried when he bleeds - your movement adds soooo much to the scene. And the expressions too
