Oh my! I can't wait to try this one. We're hooked on your recipes and have made 10 so far. You're my all-time favorite RUclips chef and your recipes are easy and delicious!! Thank you.
Another hits, vegan recipes. Mopu tofu without meat. My family love it. I didn't have Sichuan pepper, so I replace them with Korean chilli flakes, and chilli oil. So good 👍. Perfect meal for us winter food.
Have been wanting to share my love of Asian food and our culture with my vegan bf, so glad I found your Instagram and channel so I can cook this for us!! Can’t wait to try it, mapo tofu is my fave 🙏💕
Just found your channel, love vegan food, love asian food, but vegan asian food?! It's the ultimate ambrosia... subbbedddd greetings from vegan Indonesian ✌
Nice, I was looking for a good vegan version of mapo tofu for already some time. Meanwhile I was experimenting with my own version of it. Will be happy to give this recipe a try. Thank you for posting it here.
you might find it odd but i made this with choy poh and i think it worked. but then i’ll eat anything with choy poh in it. Thanks for the helpful videos. i like them!
Love your recipes! I have already tried so many of them and could die for! Maybe you could show a video with all your store bought condiments like your soy sauce or the bean paste you used today?
Do you think fermented red bean curd, Chinese black bean paste, miso or gochujang could work here? I have the peppercorns but really don't want to buy another ingredient for ONE dish. Thank you (:

Love this recipe. looking delicious. Can you please tell me in in future videos what I can use instead of mushrooms? I don't eat them. Thank you
Oh no worries at all. I used it to create that umami and give the dish another mouthfeel texture. You can skip it. :-)
@@WoonHeng thanks
@@yasasvyguntur4109 Of course!

The 'spicy bean paste' is La Doubanjiang, right?
yes! you got it!
why boil the tofu first?
Its salt water, it helps tofu to firm up (due to osmosis) and also marinate it.
