As an European, I love the American remote control cab cars. Our railways put so much thought into aerodynamics and design when creating cab cars, and Americans don't give a shit lmao.
The bell isn't like the Metra bells, which are like most freight units bells, an electronic bell. The South Shores have an older bell, it's different, and they're not used as much anymore.
@@SgtPotatoChip6356 Those bells on the Highliners are still quite rare on Metra’s trains, as they’re only used on Highliners and newer locomotives. The EMD Steel Bell is still way more common on their rolling stock.

The Metra Electric District is Metra's only line that uses overhead wires. All trains terminate at Millennium Station which is the next station after Van Buren St in the beginning of the video. I just adore the electric district. It’s like a secret Northeast corridor
thats a nice way to put it

As much aerodynamics as a brick
cuz americans dont need any form of HST
cmon, 110km/h for a HST is a true joke
Electrified Metra trains, I rode some of those back in February 2020 when I visited the Chicago Auto Show.
Cool. South Shore units still have a mechanical bell, that's awesome.
What's that?

Ding ding! I'm a tram 🚋 and I approve this video! Great footage!!
I LOVE THE SOUTH SHORE LINE
Metra electric trains. Nice 👍
They run pretty good and the sound good
It's my favorite Metra line
The 3rd subway train seen in the video is similar to the train seen in Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Man I miss taking the South Shore Line.

Amtrak might be coming to Knoxville Tennessee

I railfan the metra Union Pacific North line.
I need to get more videos of that line. So my favorite places to get videos on that line is Davis St and Highland Park

I just take the south shore from hegewisch to Chicago
Quaker oat vinyl wrap. That is different for advertising.
