I had the tablet replaced and received another one exactly the same. Have you noticed this on your tablet?
I dont know if i should buy the tab s9 FE+ or this tablet(Lenovo tab p12) because the samsung is much more expansive. My main concerns about the lenovo are the refresh rate (60 vs 90 on the samsung) and optimised notetaking(samsung has aamsung notes but i dont know about any optimized notetaking apps for lenovo). Pls help me decide.
Really nice to use but slow on updates. Google Play system update was dated 1st Aug last week but now just moved onto 1st September. As for the system itself, it's lenovo version 15.0.061 which I think its been on since the initial update on purchase in mid August. Also lenovo's own versioning system means nothing in itself except serving only to obfuscate which android 13 update this relates to. I'm therfore assuming that the android sustem update is now lacking nearly 3 months of security updates. That's not good enough.
Google Play system updates are sent by Google, not Lenovo. Lenovo is contractually obligated to send out quarterly system security updates. However, due to the nature of modern Android, most system components that need major security fixes are handled by Google.
Since posting Google Play system updates are now at 1st October so I no longer have any complaints on this score and as you say are sent by google not Lenovo. But as to Android system updates I do know that I haven't received one yet since August but if they are contactually obliged to provide an update every 3 months I will hopefully get one this month. I've also that the kernel version is 4.19.191+ and yet I understood this to be an Android 12 Kernel, whereas the tablet is running Android 13 so I would have expected a 5 series Kernel. @@adaml.5355

Just got this tablet. The battery is huggeeee and easily should last a day and a half. When getting it i recommend geting the highest microSD card you can get to make sure you dont run out of space

It doesn't have anything exactly like Dex mode, but it has a floating window mode, which is similar to Windows and can help with productivity. Additionally, there are desktop mode launchers that seem promising. I bought it and am waiting for it to arrive. The price difference is very big.

I dont understand why people have the need or even want for higher refresh rates on battery powered devices. Laptops have a function to reduce refresh rate to save on battery when not plugged in. So why do people want MORE battery drain on these big screens for barely noticable faster screen??
Before buying a lenovo tablet, think whether you will need upgrades to the next android version. Their policy is probably the worst on the market, in less than 2 years the OS of your device will be obsolete! I bought a Tab p11 pro 1st gen in 2022 and I received only 1 upgrade to android 11

I've received my Lenovo P12 tablet and would like to know if I should turn Charging Protection on? From the manual: "Charging protection prevents charging for extended periods, which exposes the battery to high temperatures and high voltage that may cause it to age faster. When the mode is enabled, power will eventually be maintained at about 50% to extend battery life." Keeping the battery around 50% max would drastically reduce usage time between charges. Is Charging Protection worth the reduced usage time? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

I bought it, everything is perfect, but the battery runs out very quickly, I surfed Google Chrome, returned it, it may have been defective, but if the battery held up well, it would be an excellent tablet
Regarding video output, I checked with Lenovo customer support today and learned that this model does NOT have the capability of outputting video to an external monitor via the USB-C port. The only mode that this can be accomplished with is the P12 PRO.

Lenovo are absolutely hopeless with updates..... haven't even got android 13 on my 11pro gen2 yet...... security updates are completely random. Won't be buying another that's for sure. Edit: Just got that now..... better late than never I suppose
You can buy the lenovo for less then 300$ starting around 260$ right now today. The samsung is better but that costs 500-600$ you could get almost 3 of these lenovo tablets for that price. yes it would be good enough for youtube in my opinion, its not s9 ultra big but still nice in my opinion. It won't be as good of screen, battery life or performance as S9 ultra but worth it when on sale for sure

That's not a Chinese version of the same device from lenovo. That's the Xiaomi Pad 6/6 Pro, which isn't globally sold currently, and is very difficult to find in most countries, especially for a lower price than lenovo devices. @@SJHD

You can use a 40w it will charge at 30w but the tablet says flash charging which is basically lenovo version of super fast chargering.

That's not a Chinese version of the same device from lenovo. That's the Xiaomi Pad 6/6 Pro, which isn't globally sold currently, and is very difficult to find in most countries, especially for a lower price than lenovo devices. @@SJHD

This is a very bad tablet bro....very poorly made and cut too much corner ... do you know there is a p12 pro edition and it is only 100 euro more then this ? If you gonna recommend a tablet from a video.. do this ( 1.display 2.performance 3.battery 4.os 5.price )...no matter what tablet , display comes first with performance to price ratio.....if you fail to do this in your video then people are just gonna get click bait and buy a scam product ❤.....for comparison...the pro version is amoled 120hz hdr 600 nitz( isnt shabby under sunlight) , snapdragon 870 5G, adreno 650 and cost for around 500 euro ...now compare that with the this tablet ( ips display, mali graphic card , mediatek 7050(6nm), and cost around 400 euro) 😢......also i would recommend only one tablet after this year....which is the s9 samsung series( not fe)...either base , plus or ultra...all 3 is worth every penny

@@roseforyoubabe hmm i feel like the knowledge about the latest technology is more important before buying a tablet...most people make the same mistake as you did...thinking that resolution is good and everything makes it ok for that price point since the still image is good...that is a bad judgement....do you know why dynamic amoled is a class of its own?...not even oled or amoled but dynamic...because of 2 reason ( 1. Energy efficiency and 2.Performance on demand) ...a bad display with good resolution is like someone who is good looking but have zero skill level ( would you hire him ?) ...you will hire him but use him for advertisement but you wont use him in your daily life or scenario when facing difficulty ...hope you understand
i did complain about the battery life and 60 refresh speed but for a tablet under 400 that has a 12.7 screen a free s-pen a bright screen it is not bad.. you will not find many bargains like that

This Lenovo is a knockoff of a galaxy tab s9. It's not worth buying.

@aikesscs not what I'm saying. If someone already has a Samsung galaxy tablet, then there's no reason to buy a Lenovo. For instance, Samsung has been getting better at longer software and security updates. I have Samsung and Lenovo devices, and I watch technology videos all the time. It's not about one company only allowed to make good tablets. It's about Lenovo getting ideas from Apple and Samsung.
Mmmmmmm the galaxy s9+ (with a similar screen size) costs a little more than this does though....
~$300 for the P12 with a keyboard and stylus right now, versus
S9+ starts at $1000, with the keyboard coming in at somewhere between $100-$200, and a stylus coming in at around $60
