Started a new job as Service Advisor at a Peugeot main dealer in the eighties. Monday start but went in (unpaid)on Saturday morning to find out where everything was; good thing I did because, at 8 o/clock Monday there was just me and a queue of customers as, despite his promise, there was no sign of the service manager, who would arrive at 10, chat to everyone all day about nothing important and then complain about how far behind he was with everything
The worst thing is, these were the 'good old days'. I can only imagine the bullshit going on now with all the EV nonsense. Retail is (mostly) the best job in the world, but if you're a 20 something just starting out, leave cars well alone. Trust me, it isn't worth the hassle.
How many more incentives do EV sales need, now reducing vat on public charging, how much money are they going to continue to throw at this sector which is failing.
Thanks for the story Barrie. I really enjoy listening to your life story and learning some lessons about life.
Much appreciated, thanks for watching
Loving your Stories.

Quote."In the car trade you can't trust anybody " unquote, absolutely bang on.
Yep
Enjoying the stories Barry. I’m sure there’s lots more to tell.
There are a lot I can’t tell, but there are lots that I can too 👍

That sounds pretty typical
Good staff in any profession are difficult to find.
Sorry to be a broken record but please try to increase the volume on your vids.
The content is great but it's tough to hear you.
Honestly it’s fine on all my stuff, and I you tube are actually turning it down because it’s too loud, I’m at a loss to what the problem is
So mot rules changing hybrids no longer tested on emission,s classing diesel hybrid,s etc as zero emission vehicles to meet target,s brilliant.😮😊😊
Do you think the government will ever relent and reduce VED on petrol cars or diesel to make them still worth owning long term?
Not this government

A car dealer treated like a customer.👀
Hopefully not all garages are like that
@BarrieCrampton l must be just unlucky.😉
@ but far too many, and they seem to be getting worse
People think they are so smart with these sorts of practices but ultimately they loose decent staff and alienate their customers.
Barrie I don't understand why you used your dictaphone... I mean why couldn't you use your finger like everyone else?
@@markbray2988 my finger wouldn’t fit in the hole 😂
