I remember this one. No backlight, 2xAA batteries instead of a rechargeable battery. We had these bad spiraled lights to plug in but it couldn’t even light the complete screen well. Iconic purple color. We were happy though.
I didn't even have one of those plugin lights! I have to sit near or under a light on the ceiling and angle it JUST right. It blew me away and I have great memories playing this ☺
I bought my cousin his first handheld retro emulator for Christmas and he is just so happy playing it...these things are just great and so portable you can take them anywhere!
My bro, one question on which device is the screen better rg sp or rg gba? Im waiting on rg sp to be delivered, but im worried that the screen 3:2 on this device better is for primarly gba games than rg sp.. also i might get the faulty sp model which burns down or something. Plz let me know
@@harieth8 They’re both great. Both devices feature high-quality IPS displays but tailored to different gaming preferences. If you favor a clamshell design with a 4:3 aspect ratio suitable for a wide range of retro games, the RG35XXSP is a solid choice. Conversely, if you're inclined towards a horizontal layout with a 3:2 aspect ratio that complements Game Boy Advance titles, the RG34XX would be more appropriate. The SP have bezels to make GBA games look better.
@Techcravers thank you for your reply, im considering using it only for gba. With the bezel on sp it does look nice, but i heard you can use 3x filter on the gba 3:2 screen which makes it nicer then 4:3 screen with idk max 2x?
Forgot to mention i think with pretty huge hands, the sp is more comfortable then the gba model. My hands cramped much with retroid pocket 5 (with modern games usage) and miyoo mini plus (nes and snes), so sold them both. Waiting for the silver sp to be delivered.
@@harieth8 haha, thanks for the tip, but in the winter here, I always get dry hands. It comes and goes, though, and they're already getting better. But thanks for caring!
@@Techcravers I have anbernic sp as well.Should I go for it? worth to buy? ( I only play gba games, anbernic sp silver one is like some kind of cheap product to me)
What’s your favorite handheld gaming memory? 😊

If I were to get this.. it would be purely for GB, GBC, and GBA games and MAYBE SNES games xD
Yes it’s perfect for those systems!
Nice vid bro, a nice tip, use vaseline on your hands and wash less with dreft/strong detergent for dishwashing. :P

@@Techcravers hahah same thing!
Pensé que el diseño de estructura de la GBA estaba patentado y solamente nintendo podía usarlo.
seguramente tenga los cambios suficientes para que no se considere un plagio o sino es que la patente caducó
Design patents are valid for 15 years before they expires :)
Not a gameboy? Not need it, what's the point in buying a "No Gameboy" to olay "Gameboy games"!?
Good video,is it really good? For rough using
@@yzx9122 Thank you for your kind words! Yea definitey good. But just as I mention in the video, I’m a bit biased since the GBA was my childhood :)

@@yzx9122 I think RG34XX feels more premium for sure and it has a better dpad imo.
