@@philipbrugger I'm not familiar with these kinds of races, but is it even possible to make up time in the air? It would seem like you would straight line it to the finish on bar and then spiral to land to be the fastest but if everyone else was doing the same passing on the flying segment would almost be impossible, no?
@@chucklist3074 wings have different speed. most common gliders for this events are skywalk tonka2, nova bantam, airdesign susi3, and more ;) you can make up time at take off ... I messed it up this time, but at least I didn't lose too much. In the air you can make up time by flying straigt towards the turnpoint und then straight to finish area. everything on full bar. and if you manage to reduce height while flying fast and straight to finish line thats perfect. most pilots try to roll while on speed, that seems to be fast
I got the opportunity to test the bantam for this event. It is perfect for this kind of races... super fast, light and easy to wrap. I still have my susi3 😊
@@supo47 it's most likely because of the half-handwrap at the breaks. Some wings (like the 777 queen2) then tend to do this scary thingy, because some break imput is applied, I think
Bravo
Super, bravo 👏🏻!!
Very Cool!! That leading edge had quite the crease in it with full bar. Yikes!
yeah the leading edge was scary, but also fast 😅

@@philipbrugger Gerne, habs am Samstag eh live verfolgt und gehofft, dass noch ein Video von dir auf RUclips nachkommt! 👍😂
@@philippholzapfel6947 ich hab ja einen ruf zu verlieren 🤣
Iv got to say I'd rather be the flying half of that team :-D
😅
SHOW!!!🤘🤘🤘🦅🦅😍
Very nice! How far was the run (for you), also how many altitude meters?
It's a short race, but lungs burn like hell ;-)
~250m / +50 hm to take-off
~400m after landing to transition-zone
Very cool! Did you change the SuSi for a Batam? How does it compare?

What's up with that leading edge deformation on bar? Looked super weird.
