That’s my favourite river in the world, my wife’s family comes from Otočac and I automatically fell in love with the Gacka from the first time I saw it. Great video!
We normally wear waders as a matter of course as you never know when you need t rescue a fish that’s gone in the weed, retrieve flies or just stay dry…
@@AardvarkMcLeodFlyFishing In the summer pants and wading boots work just fine as 1 meter from the bank it is already 2 meters deep most places. More of a canal than river. And the fishing is not easy. There is one very specific fly for this river-if you have it you catch, if you don't-you watch. Very interesting place.
This river makes me glad my gf is Czech (horrible reason I know) but I can’t resist the proximity of this place to the Czech Rep. I burned alotta gas over long weekends lol.

Thanks for the comment!
Currently planning to go fishing but it seems like it is forbidden to catch and keep the brown trout. Sad but ok.
Thanks for the comment..
Why would you want to kill such a beautiful fish??

Great river, no need for waders at all.
