God. Seeing someone explain what RFID is is amazing. Like, not so many people know what it is, and being a door lock server installer for Assa Abloy it hurts when people go, “oh, can I put that near my phone? It will still work right?” And I just want to look at them and go, “no, this can’t go near any electronics at all. If it does, the world ends.”
Error in the descriptin of RFID tag memory at minute 4:02 ....it says that the tag memory contains 16 sectors of 4 blocks each, so far so good, but then that each block stores TWO bytes of data when he obviously highlight two sub-blocks of 8 bytes each, so the the right interpretation is that each block contains 2x8=16 bytes ....so total amount of memory is 16x4x16bytes=1024bytes=1KB

I want to make a similar project for my school science fair. Where do we have to place the proximity sensor, and do we have to keep it in contact with door when we close it? How did you hide all the wires you used? And did you place the arduino nano on the breadboard? Please do reply, your reply means a lot to me!
The proximity sensor is placed so that can detect when the door is closed. It doesn't have to be the particular model of proximity sensor, you could also use an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor for that purpose. All the wires are just wrapped with an insulating tape. And if you have the proper jump wires you don't have to use a breadboard, I didn't used. Have fun building your project!
@@HowToMechatronics Thanks a lot for your advice, I owe you one for this project idea. Is it possible to make this using an infra-red Proximity sensor? If so, will the same code you included work?
you dont need to use a robotic arm to "identify" the books....if your RFID transponder (host side) antenna is big enough you can scan RFID within 8-15 m and that in batches of 300-400 RFID tags per batch, if you have more then sequentially without the need to be near nor point to the objects/tages...there are industrial handheld terminals or tablets which such integrated RFID large antenna...

Can you make video how to connect the ESP8266MOD which you can buy on ebay, with a pre-soldered board with 4 pins. I only see vids online how to connect that board with 8 pins.
What kind of card does this module support? I use my apartment keycard which is thicker and cannot be bent. Doesn't read. It reads only white card that comes with the package. And the blue thing with keyring only read for few lines then it shows this "PCD_Authenticate() failed: Timeout in communication".
what do you mean "bag locked"...RFID tags are available in multiple shapes and forms, one of them is as label that you can stick to your product which could also be a bag....you can even inject a glass capsule containing an RFID tag into your cat or dog , in some countries that is even mandatory..
So the master card cannot be used to open the door.. am I right?? How to unregister the master card? Will double tapping the master card will unregister it?? Please answer... :)
Hello, great video just a quick question about trying to make a relay stay on as long as the RFID card is present. So I want to make it so that I don't need to set a specific time duration the relay is on for. Is this possible with the RFID? just each time I leave the card next to the reader, it only reads it once, but I am unsure on if this is because of the code or hardware.
SteamFox ,, from my understanding , there's no need for RFID security, because the mifare itself has a pre - implemented security system inside.. The cheapest mifare classic type has a crypto encryption inside, .. So unless you know keyA or keyB inside it .. you'll never get the access to modify each bit/byte of the data.. Cmiiw.. :)

Hello, what software did you use to do the component and electrical schematic?
How the helmet detection on clg gate implemented using RFID?
How do you get a Rfid sensor and key fob into Tinkercad or is there a substitute of these components that can be added into Tinkercad circuits?
Very good tutorial also give more tutorials on many other things

Great video tutorial, how it's made your presentation ?
Rfid doesn't send out a signal. Your initial screen shows it communicating by sending out a wave
Nice!! :D
very good video .. i also want to make this at home.
Is the proximity sensor is optional or a must item?
It's just optional in my example.
hi how can i make the door lock without the proximity sensor? i want to use a button instead
where should i put the proximity sensor
Is it possible to connect more number of rfid tag to the common rfid reader?
Is it necessary to use proximity sensor
No, you don't have to use that sensor, but you will have to also modify the code a little bit.
