Very fluid game mechanics. And I love this kind of scenario, where every PC has his/her own agenda. Creates great tension. Also, great twist at the end of the episode. And all this pyrotechnic budget! Epic! 🤩
Thanks, Guy! I’m a big fan of this system for exactly those reasons. I can’t wait to run this for my group and I’m sure the finished products will be awesome.
i am very exited to know when it will be released, i would love to try it as a one shot system for sessions where i would drop the regular campaign because some players couldn´t make it to the session.
Seems to me the dice luck-pushing and fast ebb and flow of grit and adrenaline in the system is quite different from Feng Shui 2, but still seems like it supports the genre very well. Feng Shui 2 also has its own particular Gonzo setting with time travel, sapient future-apes and evil eunuch magicians. Whereas Outgunned seems to have a much more generic approach without a single setting. It's clearly set up to run a mafia hitman setting, or the A-Team, or even potentially Free Guy. With that in mind, it would appear quite easy to choose mostly any action movie setting you'd like to play Outgunned. I don't really know the Honk Kong Action Theatre RPG.
That’s fine as well. For some it’s what they grew up with, others not. This doesn’t have to be used to emulate 90s movies. It’s pretty versatile so you can use it to basically run a game of almost any action movie you prefer.
@@DareToWonder Well with Action Flicks there's various other genres to play in not covered by the book like Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly, Ghostbusters, Alien, Predator, Stranger Things, Blade Runner, etc.
"Who needs a parachute when you got friendship ?"
Desire to listen to this song intensifies !
Right?!

"You Look Alive" is the one condition you don't want to lose
😂 Right?!! 😂😂
Thanks for this. I'm looking through the core rulebook, and I understand it a bit better now
Yeah this plays like an action movie rather than a maths grind
Also 100% thought those 4 guys who took their masks off would be clone troopers
Oh that would have been a great twist!

For sure! I think it's perfect for that.
So what makes this one different from FENG SHUI or HKAT?

So basically it’s the same system as Broken Compass.
It’s got a few more mechanical tweaks but the base is similar. I wish we covered the Death Roulette mechanic in this session.
Jason stole the show in this one
agreed! :)
wow i can't stand the 90s and i was born in the middle of them

@@VictoryConditionGaming dunno, actions movies are fun to watch when you're bored and tired, i try to avoid them when gaming though. thats just me
